You are bidding on a beautiful 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible. This is a very rare car that has a newly rebuilt[less than 1000 miles] original 430 motor, almost new convertible top, and a 3yr. old base coat-clear coat paint job in as close to original color as we could find. The body and paint is super straight and is extremely shiny. The door panels were all redone in original patterns 2yrs. ago and the seats were redone a few yrs. ago and are in extremely good condition. This cars always starts right up and drives down the road like a Lincoln should. The transmission shifts like it should. It is a very comfortable cruising car.Now for the bad.As you can see in the pictures the top works, but sometimes you have to give it some help like pushing the trunk flap up or down or stopping and starting it again. There are some wear spots in the paint where the top sits on the car behind the back seat on both pass. + drivers side[no rust or anything] and a small surface crack in the paint about 1inch long[you hardly can notice] ,that a good painter could match and repaint easily[see last 2 pictures]. Three of the power windows work and 1 doesn't.All of the electrical work, lights, turn signals, wipers, heater etc.,except the clock.I see there is one on ebay that ended sunday for 67,000.00.Of course mine needs some work to be that nice, but I just am saying any money you put into this car you will get back out.I have owned the car[and have a clear title in my name] for over 10 yrs.and have driven it every summer and it is a very nice driver car that is all original, and everything is there if you want to make a show car out of it.I am looking to retire soon and am selling off my cars[including a 1959 Edsel convertible] and have priced this car as a driver quality car,but please don't ask the reserve as I am going to let the auction run its course. Please give me 24hrs. to return emails or call me on my cell[10am-7pm,PST] 1-208-664-0125,Thanks Harry.

MyFord Touch getting buttons and knobs back to counter criticisms
Mon, 17 Jun 2013Ford deserves credit for being a front-runner in offering advanced infotainment technology with its Sync and MyFord Touch systems, but continued consumer complaints over its confusing touchscreen interface and capacitive controls has made the automaker relent. The Wall Street Journal reports that physical buttons and knobs for controlling tuning and volume will be coming back to Ford vehicles equipped with the controversial infotainment system.
The 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch gives us a glimpse of what the new layout with buttons and knobs might look like, as Ford says a similar balance of touch screen capability and buttons/knobs are what's being planned for future models. And, while capacitive controls have no fans in the halls of Autoblog, many of Ford's models with MyFord Touch do have a large physical knob for adjusting volume with integrated buttons for tuning and advancing tracks, though most of those are models with the optional upgraded Sony Audio system. Lincoln models with MyLincoln Touch, however, feature only capacitive controls for all stereo and climate functions.
Despite receiving enough complaints to throw buttons and knobs back into the mix (a move that reminds us of BMW's iDrive trajectory, among others), Ford reports that Sync and MyFord Touch have still been sold on 79 percent of its 2013 model year vehicles, a number it claims is double the rate that Honda and Toyota are getting for their infotainment systems. Ford also states that owners who do opt for the duo of technologies are more satisfied with overall vehicle quality than those who don't have it.
2018 Lincoln Navigator Black Label Drivers' Notes Review | American luxury
Thu, Dec 6 2018For years, the Lincoln Navigator played second fiddle to the Cadillac Escalade. Even with a refresh a few years back, the big ute couldn't quite match what Cadillac (or anyone else in the class) offered. The design looked dated, and the interior felt a full generation behind. Things sure have changed, as the new Navigator might just be the first Lincoln in years that gets near-universal praise from the Autoblog staff. This class of SUV may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Lincoln deserves credit for doing more than just phoning it in. Our tester this week is a Chroma Crystal Blue short-wheelbase Navigator Black Label. That's the top-trim model, so features like heated and ventilated leather seating, full-LED lighting, a panoramic moonroof, a 20-speaker audio system and adaptive suspension are all standard. The only options on our 2018 model were the $1,750 paint and the $1,250 perfect-position seats. At $98,320, it isn't cheap, but it's right on the mark for the segment. Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore: The Lincoln Navigator is a demonstrative improvement in luxury, power and design. It's more sophisticated and elegant than ever before, but it remains true to itself. The interior is gorgeous — the best-looking cabin I've ever seen in a Navigator — and it's the best in the segment. The Cadillac Escalade, which is still great but is due for a freshening, feels dated and less user-friendly inside, by comparison. Our Navigator, outfitted in the Black Label trim, looks like something out of a 1960s Camelot photo spread. The powder blue materials remind me of old pictures of Jackie Kennedy. The way the Lincoln crest appears above the glovebox also feels very Jet Age. The knobs, switches and buttons for the controls add to the retro look, but they're also tactile and functional. People don't want to navigate four touchscreens to adjust the heat. Lincoln and other carmakers are wisely going back to simplicity for interior features. That being said, the interior has all the modern features and amenities you would expect. Sync 3 is solid. The large touchscreen is easy to read and use. It's colorful and intuitive. Finally, it's a Sync system I can get on board with. The seats are comfortable, supportive, and the front ones can be positioned 30 different ways. There's so much variety I never found the perfect spot in my two nights in the Navigator. The exterior touches from the most recent redesign accentuate the Navigator's luxurious feel.
Ford recalls Explorer, Flex, Taurus for parking brakes
Wed, Jul 22 2015Ford announced a recall of nearly 8,000 vehicles spread across a broad range of models for a faulty parking brake, which might not engage fully. The automaker has not received any reports of accidents or injuries resulting from the issue. The recall affects certain examples of the 2015-16 Ford Explorer, the 2015 Taurus, and the 2015 Flex.
