THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION, MY WIFE AND I ARE HAVING TWINS IN ADDITION TO OUR 2 YEAR OLD, SO UNFORTUNATELY MY TOY HAS GOT TO GO.  I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN AUGUST 2013 AND RECEIVED NEWS ABOUT MY TWINS IN NOVEMBER.  SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR, THE ONLY THING I'VE DONE IS HAVE THE ENGINE PULLED AND COMPLETELY CLEANED UP, PAINTED, CHANGED ALL THE HOSE, ETC. THE PICTURES WILL SHOW THE NEW LOOK ENGINE.  ALSO, FOR A MORE RELIABLE DRIVE, I CHANGED THE CARBURETOR TO AN EDELBROCK 4 BARREL.  I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL CARB AND IS INCLUDED WITH THIS SALE IN CASE YOU WANT TO PUT THE OLD ONE BACK. SINCE IVE HAD THE CAR FOR SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, BELOW IS THE DESCRIPTION OF THE VEHICLE WHEN I BOUGHT IT SINCE THE PRIOR OWNER KNEW MORE ABOUT IT.  PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS.

IT IS A TRUE 28,000 MILE CAR, LAST OWNER OWNED THE CAR FOR OVER 30 YEARS. HIS NEPHEW INHERITED THE CAR AND HAD NO INTEREST IN THE CAR.

THIS IS A VERY ORIGINAL CAR, BESIDES 1 VERY OLD REPAINT

THE BODY SEEMS TO BE PRETTY GOOD, THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME FILLER IN THE LOWER REAR QUARTERS
THE CHROME IS OVERALL GOOD
THE FLOOR BOARDS SEEMS SOLID
THE TRUNK SEEMS SOLID

MOTOR RUNS GREAT, I JUST HAD THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL FILTER CHANGED
THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD, I DID NOTICE SOME TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING AFTER LONG STORAGE
THE TRANSMISSION FLUID IS CLEAN AND SHIFTS PERFECTLY
THE BRAKES SEEM VERY GOOD, I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR ALOT OVER THE LAST 2 WEEKS, AND HAS NO ISSUES
IT DOES NOT DRIVE LIKE A NEW S550, IT DRIVES LIKE A 1961 LINCOLN SHOULD

OKAY, THE TOP WORKS MANUALLY, IT STILL NEEDS SOME OF THE SYSTEMS GONE THROUGH. ONE OF THE HYDROLIC PUMPS HAS A HOLE IN IT. I HAD THE TOP DOWN FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS JUST DRIVING IT AROUND. I PUT THE TOP BACK UP TODAY. THE TOP IS IN PERFECT CONDITION, AND IS THE ORIGINAL TOP ON THE CAR.
THE BACK WINDOW IS A LITTLE YELLOWED, BUT IS THE ORIGINAL TOP

ORIGINAL LEATHER UPHOLSTERY, SHOWS WEAR
I NOTICED A COUPLE LITTLE PLACES IN THE REAR SEAT, BUT I LOVE THE LOOK OF THE PATINA LEATHER

2020 Lincoln Corsair First Drive | Compact 'American luxury'

Tue, Oct 1 2019

SAN FRANCISCO — Lincoln almost left the building. Word is that former Ford CEO Alan Mullaly, who had come from the airline business and did not have any special affection for historically significant auto brands, was ready to kill off Lincoln after Ford divested itself of its European luxury portfolio. Other Ford executives were able to persuade him to keep it, but then had to come up with a way to make the division relevant. Selling warmed-over Fords wouldnÂ’t cut it going forward, and attempting to emulate the Germans (as Cadillac has tried to do) didnÂ’t seem viable. It was decided Lincoln would proffer “American luxury,” but what did that mean? The 2020 Lincoln Corsair is the latest answer to that question. Like its preceding bigger siblings, the Navigator and Aviator, it offers true design differentiation from Ford with a look all LincolnÂ’s own, and an emphasis not just on luxury features but a better ownership experience. Proper names are back too, which is why we're reviewing the "Corsair" and not the second-generation MKC. Like that predecessor, the Corsair shares its architecture with the Ford Escape, albeit the all-new version. Despite their common bones, none of the body panels are the same. Instead, the look is right at home with the brandÂ’s larger SUVs, featuring many of the same styling cues that include the now-familiar Lincoln grille, gently tapered roofline, blacked out pillars and long, slim taillights  The Corsair has more sculpted flanks and a more pronounced shoulder, but the resemblance to the Aviator in particular is strong, and it's no surprise that both SUVs were penned by the same man: Kemal Curic, who has now ascended to the head design spot at Lincoln. Compared to the MKC, overall length is 1.4 inches greater, the wheelbase is 0.8 inch longer, and the vehicle is 1.1 inches lower. That puts the CorsairÂ’s exterior dimensions between the Audi Q3 and Q5 or the BMW X1 and X3. Its closest dimensional doppelganger is the Cadillac XT4, which will likely be its closest rival. The CorsairÂ’s interior echoes the exterior design with a horizontal theme that makes the cabin feel bigger. Vents stretch across the dash, and above them (in the Reserve model) is an inset band of striped silver metallic trim. The center stack floats above the console, making for an airier environment and leaving room for additional stowage, which is plentiful.

2019 Lincoln Navigator gets slight price hikes, crosses six-figure mark

Mon, Aug 20 2018

As of the end of June this year, all-new Lincoln Navigator sales are up by triple digits over last year. No wonder, as Lincoln's flagship has impressed us on both our initial drive and again recently on a 900-mile road trip. Even if numbers slump some between now and the end of the year, the full-sized luxury SUV should achieve sales not seen since 2007, when it sold 24,050 units. That would help explain why the Navigator's already had one price increase this year, in June, when MSRPs across the range went up $500 and the destination charge rose another $100. According to order guides, prices for the 2019 model year will go up even more. The entry-level Premiere trim gets bumped by another $650, while the Reserve trim climbs by $3,500. After the $1,295 destination fee, the 2019 Navigator Premiere starts $74,500, and the Select trim rises by $1,000 to $78,850. Neither of those trims add additional equipment to offset the additional cost. The Reserve price hike to $86,500 does capture the cost of the Technology Package, which will come standard. On the 2018 Navigator, that package, which bundles aids like adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking, is a $2,640 option, so the net price jump for the trim is $860. The Black Label price drifts upward by $2,190 to $97,690, but the 2019 models will throw in 30-way power seats as standard. Those thrones being a $1,250 option on 2018 models, the net increase is then $940. The long-wheelbase L models will all go up by the same amount as their non-L counterparts, which puts the Navigator over the $100K mark for the first time; the 2019 Black Label L will need $100,890 to put in a suitable driveway. That's just $700 less than the list price of the 2019 Cadillac Escalade ESV Premium, but Cadillac incentives mean the Lincoln would actually cost thousands more. Lease prices have gone skyward, too. Cars Direct found that in the middle of this year, the average monthly cost for a 36-month lease in California was $1,023, a $131 increase compared to lease prices in February. Two months later, the average monthly cost in California has gone up another eight dollars, to $1,031. That's only $14 less per month than the lease for an Escalade Luxury, even though the Cadillac has a list price $9,500 higher. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Lincoln Aviator could make a comeback

Tue, Jun 9 2015

The idea of Lincoln dropping its alphanumeric scheme in favor of real names was welcomed by fans of the marque and even appeared possible after the rousing reception to the Continental concept. Now, rumors suggest that the next of the luxury brand's nameplates to see a possible revival just might be the Aviator. Don't get your hopes up quite yet, though. The Truth About Cars admits that this tip comes from a second-hand source, but the person reports that Lincoln has a project codenamed Aviator as a model based on the Explorer. There's evidence to give the rumor some shaky support, though. Ford already has the trademarks for the name and AV8R. Also, an Explorer-based vehicle in 2019 is included for the brand's predictions in the recent Car Wars forecast. Autoblog reached out to company spokesperson Sam Locricchio, but he would not speculate about future products. The same source claims to The Truth About Cars that the Blue Oval might not replace the Ford Flex or Lincoln MKT when the current generations come to an end. Also, the next-gen Expedition and Navigator could use 10-speed automatics and follow the F-150 to get aluminum bodies, which is also already rumored. Although, all of this should be taken with a big grain of salt until anything more official has arrived. Lincoln spokesperson Stephane Cesareo gave The Truth About Cars no comment on the rumor, but said, "By 2020, we expect to expand the segments that we participate in by adding two new nameplates to the Lincoln brand. We have not provided any indications about the products or their names." Related Video:
