Turbo Lexus Sc300, 2jz-gte, 5 Speed Manual Transmission, Similar To Supra Tt on 2040-cars

Year:1995 Mileage:185000 Color:
Location:

Clarksville, Tennessee, United States

Clarksville, Tennessee, United States
Advertising:

1995 Lexus SC300, factory 5 speed transmission, black exterior (202 gloss black), tan interior, no rust, clean title, 185,000 ODO.  The mileage will increase slightly since I drive the car typically 1-2 times a week.

The Aristo 2JZ-GTE long block was originally sourced by Driftmotion in 2012.  In 2013 the car was swapped with Aristo block using a new Dr. Tweak wiring harness.  The car runs well overall, but still needs some TLC to be at 100%.  The car has working A/C, heat, and electronics.  I originally intended to keep the car BPU, and use it as a daily driver, but I’ve lost interest in the car.  I also was never particularly interested in doing the GTE swap since I already own a MK3 Supra with a 1JZ, and a MKIV Supra TT.

The exterior and interior are both in fair condition.  The body is rust free, but has several minor dents, and there is a slight dent crease in the passenger fender.  The leather interior has aged, two of the led gauge needles have burnt out, and the rear seats have tears at the top along the seams.

Mods:

Dr. Tweak PNP engine harness

Front mount intercooler with hard pipes

3 inch downpipe and exhaust

Spec stage 2+ clutch (~3000 miles)

Denso TT 255LPH pump

Tein coilovers (~3000 miles)

Problems:

Small power steering fluid leak

Smoke on the 1-2 seconds of a cold start

Clutch operates fine, but is sometimes noisy in first gear

Cruise control removed during swap

Lexus fans vote Solar Flare for new RC F hue

Wed, 18 Jun 2014

What's in a name? When it comes to model nameplates, quite a lot, and automakers go to considerable lengths to find just the right one. Same goes for the names of the colors in the catalog (save for maybe the Rape Yellow in the extensive Bugatti palette), but every once in a while, an automaker will open it up for suggestions from the public.
SRT did that when it introduced a new shade of blue for its Viper, as did Chevy for the pale green on the Volt. And last month, Lexus followed a similar path when it asked fans on Facebook to come up with a name for the new shade of orange for the RC F.
Fans suggested names like Tangerine Flame, Outrageous Orange and Fiery Orange, but ultimately the winning submission that Lexus selected was Solar Flare. The name was suggested by five individuals and will now enter the catalog of colors for the new luxury muscle coupe with its 450-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.

Lexus US execs want the LF-1 Limitless concept or something like it

Sat, Jan 20 2018

Many years ago, Mercedes-Benz counted many blue moons debating about and then hinting at a full-sized SUV, before the GLS-Class arrived in 2007 (known then as the GL-Class). After that, Audi and BMW each grabbed a gilded handle on The Waffler's Cup, equivocating for years about a Q8 and an X7, respectively; both of those luxurious load-haulers are expected in showrooms soon. Having seen the Lexus LF-1 Limitless Concept at the Detroit Auto Show, we wonder if Lexus intends to hoe that same row - dodging years of questions about a production version of the LF-1 Limitless before finally committing. Lexus US general manager Jeff Bracken hopes that's not the case. His address to the unveil audience at the NAIAS included the appeal, "We have to build this vehicle," aimed at his boss, Lexus global chief Yoshihiro Sawa. Bracken stoked the flames of his own desire after the reveal, telling journalists, "We couldn't be happier if we turned this into a production vehicle," and, "We clearly have a gap at the high-end premium cross-utility segment." We're certain plenty of his colleagues share the sentiments, and why wouldn't they? A Lexus LS-based family functionary begs the question, "Why isn't this already a thing?" The LF-1 Limitless does fierce, futuristic service to its Ghost in the Shell design philosophy of "molten katana," and Lexus needs a proper three-row crossover. Not the three-row RX, nor the opulent, cretaceous GX and LX SUVs, but a unibody crossover to challenge the aforementioned German rivals. If Lexus really does "want to be the brand which is emotionally connected with the customer," it would do well to begin its courtship with this rose-copper gem. Lexus LF-SA Concept leaks its mini self ahead of Geneva

Sat, Feb 28 2015

What you see here is the Lexus LF-SA Concept, which is speeding toward a date next week with the Geneva Motor Show. We don't yet have any official details, but Lexus is apparently saying the LF-SA was "conceived as a luxurious, driver-focused vehicle, designed to address a future world that is more influenced by technology and virtual experiences," and that it "[reflects] Lexus' vision that real experience will remain ultimate luxury." We don't know how far into the future Lexus is looking with its LF-SA Concept, but it looks very small, with just two doors, meaning it's likely even more diminutive and less spacious than the entry-level luxury Buick Encore. It could be positioned below the current CT 200h, which currently stands as the smallest model from Lexus. Check out the pictures above, and stay tuned for all the official details from Geneva.
