1999 Lexus SC300 Sport Coupe with 18k original miles. I'm confident you will not find a comparable Lexus SC anywhere on the market. I searched quite a while for this car and have been extremely happy with it. This SC is finished in the best color combination offered: Renaissance Red over Sandstone Ivory leather interior. The condition of this vehicle is astonishing. The last two pictures are on the showroom floor when I purchased it. The Renaissance Red was also a color offered on the Toyota Supra. Also, this SC's power train is the same, non-turbo, straight 6 shared with the Toyota Supra.

I've strictly hand washed this car followed by a hand wax/buff, every time. The finish shines new. The interior has that same strong Lexus new car smell as the day it left the factory. The leather and carpets are in absolutely excellent condition. I only drive this car in perfect weather and park it out of direct sunlight. It's always stored in a garage while covered by a custom made, laser-fit, car cover (included). I suspect the vehicle has never been driven in the rain as it had the original wiper blades with protective plastic covers still on each blade the day I bought it. Under the plastic both blades appeared to be untouched.

The car's Michelin tires have less than 2,500 miles on them. The service work has been done at Lexus and Toyota. I only use premium grade fuel. I have all keys (two master remote keys and a valet key), owner's manuals, and the previously mentioned custom car cover. My Lexus has a completely accident-free history. It's just as mechanically sound and solid as an 18k mile car should be.

Toyota Hilux gets heart transplant from Lexus IS F

The Toyota Hilux might not be sold in the US, but Toyota's venerable pickup has an international reputation of being able to go anywhere and do just about anything. The trucks aren't really known for their speed, though, at least until Toyota South Africa Motorsport's new, one-off project. This bruiser ditches the usual diesel engine and replaces it with an unrestricted 5.0-liter V8 from a Lexus IS F making 449 horsepower. Of course, it takes more than power to handle the rigors of high speed off-roading. The motorsport team also adds bigger, competition-spec brakes, fully adjustable dampers, new springs, and retuned gearing to make the truck look practically ready for the Dakar Rally. The gearbox is really the only part that carries over. The V8 gives the special Hilux quite a mean growl, too. With the new Tacoma just launching in the US, maybe the engineers at TRD need to apply this same concept over here for its own Lexus-engined, one-off pickup.

Is A New Kind Of Lexus Hiding Under That Radical Skin?
When the now-outgoing Lexus IS generation was launched back in 2006, the company would not have been wise to bring the compact luxury sedan to be driven by journalists to a track like Driveway Austin Motorsports. Taking along a BMW 335i for comparison loops would have proved an ill choice as well.
Our own Jonathon Ramsey found the current-generation Lexus IS250 to be fairly nimble over a tightly wound autocross course, when he drove it back-to-back with the prototype version of this 2014 IS a few months ago. Our track for testing the fully realized version of the IS350 F-Sport meanwhile - again with the 2013 version along for competitive driving - was on a circuit designed to string together recreations of some of the best tracks in the world. Laguna Seca, bits of the Nürburgring and sections inspired by Imola and Ferrari's Fiorano test track all make for a far more enticing road course than you'd expect to find plunked down in a nondescript area a few miles east of downtown Austin. Critically, this environment highlighted what strides Lexus has made in the sport sedan race with its new IS.
