1992 Lexus Sc400 45,000 Miles, All Original, Beautiful Shape, Rare! on 2040-cars
Inverness, Florida, United States
This auction is for a 1992 Lexus SC400 in amazing condition! This vehicle is just shy of 46,000 miles, has been well maintained and runs and drives great!
We inspected this vehicle and it is in great shape, mechanically it seems perfect, engine fires right up and runs beautifully, transmission shifts great, all systems seem to operate correctly, suspension is in great shape, tires are Goodyear Eagles and are practically new. The timing belt was recently replaced, and everything under the hood seems to be in order. The only weird thing I noticed is that occasionally the check engine light and TRAC OFF light will come on and then go out within 30 seconds of coming on, not sure what is causing that, but recently it has not been doing that. Interior is in very nice shape, driver seat appears to have had a tear on the left bolster that was repaired, repair doesn't seem to have been too great so that may need to be addressed again. Driver door panel has a couple of small blemishes, I took pictures of them. The door panels are in good shape still, the only other large inperfections are the main AC vent in the middle has a vertical crack in it and then just normal wear and tear. The AC system works great, all backlighting on the display works properly, the radio works great including the power antenna. Power windows and other options are all working properly. The trunk CD changer does not work, also two of the gauge needles in the instrument cluster have some dead spots in their backlighting once they warm up. Also the speedometer seems a little off, when put into reverse the speedometer needle jumps around, and when driving forward it reads 10mph too fast. Everything else inside is working properly and in great shape! The paint is in great condition, it is all original and has a good luster. Even the headlights are original and have no yellowing! There are door dings on the doors and quarter panels, there is also one dent on the bottom of the rear right side quarter panel, I incuded a picture of that. Overall this car is in great condition for its age, it hasn't been kept in a warehouse but has been garage kept and is very much a great example of one of these beautiful cars! If you have any questions please ask before bidding, this car is for sale locally also. Out of state buyers may have to pay sales tax depending on state laws, please contact us before bidding so you can know what to expect. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction, the rest due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Feel free to call us at: 352-344-4383 if you have questions. Lexus adds RC 200t, RC 300 AWD for 2016
Fri, Oct 2 2015Do you really like the Lexus RC 350, but wish it had just a bit lower cost of entry? Good news for you then, as Lexus has just added a pair of new models to its two-door lineup. The RC now mimics the powertrain options for the 2016 IS. The new RC 200t slashes the cost of entry for the two-door Lexus, but it's unclear by how much. Lexus hasn't published pricing for the 241-horsepower, 258-pound-foot 200t, although we can come up with a ballpark based on the four-door model. The IS 200t starts at $38,265 compared to the IS 350's $41,810 price. Assuming the cars are similarly scaled, there's roughly a $3,500 price difference between the 350 and the 200t, so our best guess for the RC 200t is $40,200. As for the new RC 300 AWD, it uses the same 3.5-liter V6 as the IS 300, offering up 255 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque with standard all-wheel drive. As for the RC's other V6 option, the RC 350 will continue to be offered up with both rear- or all-wheel drive. Power output remains pegged at 306 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. Scroll on for the full press blast on the new RC, which will also come with a smattering of smaller changes for 2016. The new RC 200t and RC 300 AWD join the RC 350 for a more extensive luxury coupe line-up that offers drivers more horsepower options to fit their needs. In addition, the Lexus RC features several other changes for 2016. The RC 200t F SPORT and 350 RWD F SPORT now offer optional orange brake callipers and Limited Slip differential. Performance dampers are standard for RC 200t and available for RC 350 RWD F SPORT. Eminent White Pearl exterior paint replaces Starfire Pearl. 2016 Lexus IS gets revised engine lineup
Fri, Jul 24 2015Look, the old Lexus IS 250 sucked. With a slow, heavy, underpowered, thirsty, 2.5-liter V6 under hood, our own managing editor, Steven Ewing, dubbed it Jennifer Slowpez in his review. While we celebrate its death, we're raising our glass towards a far smarter lineup for Lexus' entry level sedan. As previously reported, the new rear-drive-only IS 200t steps in at the bottom of the range. You can read all about it in our original post from late last month. Today's news focuses on the V6. While the 3.5-liter V6 from the IS 350 will soldier on unchanged, Lexus is adding a detuned variant of Toyota's popular six-cylinder to create the IS 300 AWD. Where the IS 350 pumps out 306 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque, the all-wheel-drive-only IS 300 comes to party with a more relaxed 255 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. That's still a hell of a lot more power than the old IS 250 AWD, which offered just 204 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque. So, there we have it – IS 200t, IS 300 AWD, IS 350, and IS 350 AWD. And of course, Lexus' performance minded F Sport package is available regardless of engine, giving owners a sharper and more stylish character for their sedan. You can check out the nitty gritty details on Lexus' rejiggering of the IS range below. Lexus IS Sport Sedan Gets Revved Up In 2016 With Three Available Engines 2.0L Twin-Scroll Turbocharged Gas Engine for New IS 200t New 3.5L V6 Engine Provides More Options for All-Weather Drive with IS 300 AWD Agile Handling Throughout IS Lineup Available F SPORT Package Heightens Driving Experience July 24, 2015 2016 Lexus IS Sedan Product Information The Lexus IS luxury sport sedan models will continue to delight drivers with their balance of luxury, agility and sportiness as they enter 2016 model year with a three model strategy with IS 200t, IS 300 AWD, and IS 350. The former IS 250 and IS 250 AWD are discontinued. The IS adds to its stable of engines and receives a turbocharged gas engine, bringing the number of engine alternatives to three. Drivers will have a hard time deciding which IS to take home with rear-wheel drive (RWD), all-weather drive (AWD) and F SPORT variants. The new IS 200t, available as RWD only, features a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with intercooler paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine cranks out 241 hp and has 258 lb.-ft. torque at 1,650-4,400 rpm.
2013 Lexus ES300h
Wed, 27 Feb 2013The Lexus ES lineup, the brand's bread-and-butter sedan, has been completely redone for 2013. With that tip-to-tail rework comes the model's first hybrid. We think the ES350 is better in every way than its predecessor, so a spin in the ES300h is warranted to see what it's like to live with the model sure to become the best-selling Lexus hybrid sedan. In particular, we wanted to see how the gas-electric luxury cruiser handled the battery-sapping realities of winter, so we ventured out into the slush and snow to file this report.
Driving Notes:
Peel away the slush, and this car sure is sharp-looking. It strongly resembles the excellent new GS, no bad thing. With the move to the longer Toyota Avalon underpinnings, the ES300h is long and elegant. Lexus has really upped its styling game lately.
