2005 Lexus Rx330 Base Sport Utility 4-door 3.3l on 2040-cars
Scottsdale, Arizona, United States
This is a One Owner, Lexus RX330. It is probably the nicest color combination available - Azzure Metallic Blue on White Leather...The Lexus was bought by my parents at Lexus of Kendall, Miami. The car has been a Florida and Arizona car all of its life. It was used for cross country trips between their homes. The Lexus drives like new, the motor starts right up with no issues. It has Only 97900 K miles on it! All the Maintenance was done at Kendall Lexus while under warranty and my dad (ex Pilot) took over after the warranty expired. Always Mobil1 synthetic every 4.5 K miles and Lexus/Toyota Filters. The Transmission shifts perfectly through all the gears. The interior has never been smoked in and is in great shape, no stains or rips - the rear seats are the RECLINING type!. The exterior is very nice with no major dents or dings, it does have minor scratches that can be buffed out (driven by a 76 year old). This is an accident Free Carfax Car! All the electrical items are perfect, AC and Heat are fully functional. This is fully loaded, all power, power lift gate, lighted door sills, etc etc. The tires have about 70% to 80% left on them, there is absolutely no shaking or steering pull. They have replaced the Oxygen Sensors (rear) on Bank 1 and 2 about 6 months ago (as per manufacturer recommendations). Timing Belt and Water Pump done at 89900K. This Lexus has already had its VIN registered for the Class Auction Lawsuit against Toyota of NA for the stress cracks in the dash plastics. If you are not familiar with the RX or the 4 runner, the dash cracks affect about 60% of all the 2003 - 2007 RX's and 4Runners. My parents have had a dash cover on for many years, unfortunately that did not stop the issue...The cracks are purely cosmetic and they do not affect the vehicle in any way. You can simply google - lexus RX dash Cracks and you can read all about it the lawsuit...The car comes with all the books and manuals and 3 OEM/FOB keys. My dad can no longer lift up his wheel chair in the back of the Lexus - his disability is getting worse. We would be interested in a partial trade for a Toyota or Honda minivan with wheelchair ramps...The Lexus is here in N. Scottsdale. It has a CLEAN and CLEAR AZ Title and registration. No liens and nos surprises. We expect a $300 non-refundable deposit at the end of the auction and the remaining balance to be paid in full within 4 days. We are able to store the vehicle, at no charge to you, for as long as you need - provided that the vehicle has been paid in full. We are not a dealership or wholesalers - we do not have access to financing or any leasing options. We are a diagnostic shop specializing in automotive software...The Balance of the payment is to be paid in CASH (in person), Cashier's Check or Bank Wire. The funds will have to clear before we release the vehicle. You can have the vehicle inspected through any local mechanic (5 mile range to N. Scottsdale) or come in and test drive it before the auction's end...

Lexus in no hurry to be a big player in China
Mon, 03 Jun 2013For a while now, China's spiraling wealth, population and development has had the world's luxury automakers in an expansionist fervor, with many executives exhibiting the sort of gleefully maniacal behavior historically reserved for gold-rush prospectors. Yet Toyota, of all companies, is exercising a surprising amount of caution in the Asian nation.
As The Wall Street Journal notes, Toyota's premium brand, Lexus, sold all of 64,000 vehicles in China last year, while BMW cleared its books of 326,000. In fact, it didn't even bother entering the market until 2005, while rival Audi built its first car in the market a decade and a half earlier. Even now, Lexus doesn't build any vehicles in China, and with the country's notoriously high tariffs on imports, that's a major disadvantage. Yet the business daily quotes Lexus executive vice president Mark Templin as saying that the brand is nowhere near ready to start building cars in the market. "We're not having those discussions about when we're going to go to China... We have a lot of work to do before we get to that point."
Part of that work includes establishing a more expansive dealer network - Lexus only had 99 stores as of 2012, while rival Mercedes-Benz had over two-and-a-half times as many, and it's still expanding. Adding a lot of dealers without having a goodly number of competitively priced offerings for them to sell may seem like an odd strategy, but Templin tells the WSJ that the goal is to "cultivate our image for quality and customer service and let the customers that we have go tell that story for us."
Mercedes, Infiniti, Lexus rank tops with mystery shoppers
Thu, 11 Jul 2013If you want the best experience possible when buying a new car, then you'd better head down to your local Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, or Lexus showroom. According a mystery shopper study conducted by the Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, those three luxury brands ranked highest among the 33 makes surveyed. The highest scoring mainstream brands included GMC, Hyundai, Kia, and Ford.
The study asked 5,203 mystery shoppers about the tactics used by salespeople during their most recent automotive purchases, and found a few interesting parallels along the way. For example, dealers at Infiniti, Land Rover, and Smart leaned heavily on vehicle walk-arounds with potential customers, while Jaguar, Volvo, and Audi were quick to point out exclusive features.
This study contrasts with a similar study conducted by JD Power in 2012. Its Sales Satisfaction Survey listed Mini as the top scorer, while Pied Piper's mystery shoppers ranked the BMW-owned brand below the industry average. Lexus scored highly on both surveys, as did Infiniti and GMC.
2016 Lexus RX First Drive [w/video]
Tue, Sep 8 2015There is no more important model line to Lexus than the RX. Year to date, with a replacement on the way, the RX accounts for 28 percent of the brand's sales. It's the undisputed champ of the midsize luxury SUVs, nearly outselling BMW's entire SUV lineup. So when it came time to push a significant update to its best-seller, Lexus put the whole of its engineering might into the challenge. The 2016 RX represents the very best that Lexus is capable of, specifically when its spindle-shaped grille is pointed at its core audience. Starting with the basics, Lexus increased the exterior dimensions. Wheelbase grows just under two inches while overall length goes up by five. But overall interior space remains exactly the same at 139.7 cubic feet. Rear-seat passengers get extra space – head, hip, and legroom all nudge up slightly for 2016 – but it comes at the expense of cargo area, at least on paper. Whereas the 2015 RX offered as much as 80.3 cubic feet of storage space with the rear seats folded, the 2016 model cuts that by a quarter to 56.3 cubes. Lexus representatives say that cargo space is up, and the numerical reduction is due to different measurement methods. The 450h's cargo area is smaller by a negligible half cubic foot due to the location of the car's battery pack. The new RX looks seriously chiseled. RX buyers and their friends enjoying the more spacious back seat are going to look considerably more stylish in 2016. The new RX looks seriously chiseled, with sides creased and cut to the point that there's hardly any flat surfaces. It's hard to pick favorite details, but we really like the upward-kick of the rocker panel. At the front lives Lexus' ubiquitous spindle grille, more exaggerated than ever before and rimmed by a strip of thick chrome. Sharp lines dominate the rest of the fascia, from the slit-like headlights to the arrowhead-shape that surrounds the fog lamps. There is a premium lighting package that includes LED lamps everywhere not to mention awesome sequential turn signal indicators in the taillights. UPDATE: It turns out the awesome sequential turn signal indicators aren't going to be available in the United States, which is a big bummer. If the floating roof looks familiar, that's because you've seen it on the Nissan Murano. Somehow the massive proportions of the trademark Lexus grille is not the most controversial styling element of the new RX.
