Perfect Start For Your Safari-offroad Landcruiser (lexus Lx450) on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
The LX450 (Landcruiser) has 260k+ miles as it was used as a transport vehicle on the freeway for deliveries between Southern and Northern California. As I'm told, the engine had been replaced about est. 45/50k ago. My business partner owned the vehicle since it had 10k miles, since then its been highway miles. Im sure maybe a CARFAX report might have further info you might need. The overall condition is good considering its age and whatever you intend on using it for. All the seats (3rd row) are there (usually missing on Landcruisers) allowing seating up to 7/8 passengers. All the electric windows/sunroof work including the manual sliding rear back windows only found on the Lexus models. Dash and console in perfect condition. Needs a carpet shampoo but otherwise good as well (if making this a true offroad SUV, I would suggest Rhino Lining floors). The leather seats are as you would expect on an SUV this age but better than some of the others for sale on the market. I have some new generic seat covers on the front seats but would recommend investing on custom fitted seat covers available anywhere online. I would recommend changing all the belts, replacing the radiator, replacing gaskets, fluids and tune-up. This week the battery finally died. (jumps perfect) I say all this as I hope if you are buying this or any other used SUV, you personally confirm everything is in perfect order. If you"re look for a good start for putting together a Safari Landcruiser, this is it. The price is lower than most you'll find available on Ebay, Forums and other places. Currently there is a few Toyota versions for sale locally that are similar in condition, miles and price however one year older. I moved it to Las Vegas a bit ago while considering making it a camping/safari SUV mainly for the Burning Man event once a year. Besides the basic mechanical preventive repairs listed about, I was considering having it wrapped or repainted (whichever cheaper), Safari Tent Roof Rack installed and possibly replacing the custom wheels back to stock. PLEASE CHECK OUT the below link and website for other ideas you may have. Please note all parts Lexus LX450/Toyota Series 80 www.EXTREMELANDCRUISER.com Clean Title in hand and will accompany you to the NV DMV if needed. If you tell me this SUV has too many miles or too expensive asking price, you're looking for the wrong car all together. This is a 1996 Lexus model of the Toyota Landruiser, please research and do not quote Kelly Blue Book prices. This is by far the cheapest and best starting condition Series 80 you will find here in Las Vegas or anywhere in the US. I'm selling this one the same price I recently seen a 1995 Toyota Series 80 for while missing its transmission. The price is fair but I'm open to a quick sale depending on offers or bids- Feel free emailing me with any further questions or if interested in looking at in person, Las Vegas Fast sale needed hence the lowest and fairest price on the market (Sorry to the others selling their LX450/Landcrusier) Contact: with any questions....... I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END THE AUCTION AT ANY TIME, UNLESS "BUY NOW" OPTION USED. VIDEO: |

Bring back the Bronco! Trademarks we hope are actually (someday) future car names
Tue, Mar 17 2015Trademark filings are the tea leaves of the auto industry. Read them carefully – and interpret them correctly – and you might be previewing an automaker's future product plans. Yes, they're routinely filed to maintain the rights to an iconic name. And sometimes they're only for toys and clothing. But not always. Sometimes, the truth is right in front of us. The trademark is required because a company actually wants to use the name on a new car. With that in mind, here's a list of intriguing trademark filings we want to see go from paperwork to production reality. Trademark: Bronco Company: Ford Previous Use: The Bronco was a long-running SUV that lived from 1966-1996. It's one of America's original SUVs and was responsible for the increased popularity of the segment. Still, it's best known as O.J. Simpson's would-be getaway car. We think: The Bronco was an icon. Everyone seems to want a Wrangler-fighter – Ford used to have a good one. Enough time has passed that the O.J. police chase isn't the immediate image conjured by the Bronco anymore. Even if we're doing a wish list in no particular order, the Bronco still finds its way to the top. For now (unfortunately), it's just federal paperwork. Rumors on this one can get especially heated. The official word from a Ford spokesman is: "Companies renew trademark filings to maintain ownership and control of the mark, even if it is not currently used. Ford values the iconic Bronco name and history." Trademarks: Aviator, AV8R Company: Ford Previous Use: The Aviator was one of the shortest-run Lincolns ever, lasting for the 2003-2005 model years. It never found the sales success of the Ford Explorer, with which it shared a platform. We Think: The Aviator name no longer fits with Lincoln's naming nomenclature. Too bad, it's better than any other name Lincoln currently uses, save for its former big brother, the Navigator. Perhaps we're barking up the wrong tree, though. Ford has made several customized, aviation themed-Mustangs in the past, including one called the Mustang AV8R in 2008, which had cues from the US Air Force's F-22 Raptor fighter jet. It sold for $500,000 at auction, and the glass roof – which is reminiscent of a fighter jet cockpit – helped Ford popularize the feature. Trademark: EcoBeast Company: Ford Previous Use: None by major carmakers.
Lexus LF-C2 Concept shows polarizing looks are here to stay
Wed, 19 Nov 2014Well, that's one question answered. When Lexus released the first teaser for its LF-C2 Concept, we figured it'd be one of two things - either it'd be a convertible based on the LF-LC Concept car or it'd be a thinly veiled concept version of the RC Convertible. Turns out, it's kind of both.
The LF-LC styling straddles the wilder, concepty looks of the LF-LC and the still wild, but more grounded, looks of the RC. That doesn't mean it's not a polarizing piece of design, with Lexus styling trademarks like the dominating spindle grille and separate LED running lights. Lexus' knife-edge cuts and folds in the bodywork have been toned down relative to past concepts, but the overall look here, particularly in the rear fenders, is rather busy.
"The LF-C2 concept shows what's in store for our brand's future design direction," Lexus boss Jeff Bracken said. "This concept shows consumers around the world Lexus' devotion to emotional designs as well as our passion for an exceptional driving experience."
Ice driving at the Bridgestone Winter Driving School | AutoblogVR
Tue, Aug 23 2016We have two new VR episodes for you this week, both of which come from the Bridgestone Winter Driving School. In one, we get some instruction in the snow and then have a little fun sliding around. In the other, two instructors give a visual demonstration of how rear- and all-wheel-drive cars handle differently in the snow (which also includes lots of fun sliding). You get to experience it all from the passenger seat, with a view in every direction. The Bridgestone Winter Driving School is located just outside the town of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Facilities include a couple of meticulously maintained ice/snow tracks and a snow skidpad – which, it happens, is the best kind of skidpad. We worked our way up from an all-wheel-drive Lexus NX crossover to a rear-drive Lexus IS, and then the staff gave their drifty demonstration in two similar Lexus IS sedans – one with rear drive and the other with all-wheel drive. There's a preview above, but for the full immersive experience, you'll need the AutoblogVR app for iOS or Android – you can download it for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too! Lexus Driving Videos VR Original Video lexus is virtual reality lexus nx 360video
