If you have questions email email me at: peggypffinegan@oneuk.com . This LS600hL is in great condition.  There are some rock chips on the front
bumper, lower front portion of hood and some pits in the windshield from normal
driving, but nothing excessive or beyond normal wear and tear.  There are a few
minor nicks and very light scratches that have been touched up, but nothing
beyond normal wear and tear for an 08 model.  There was one bird poop stain on
the hood, about  the site of a half dollar that was touched up and then wet
sanded down to make it slick and smooth again; it is not very noticeable, but is
there if you look for it.  There is one very small minor dent on the passenger
front door that should easily come out with paintless dent repair.  This car
has no paintwork and has never been wrecked or damaged to my knowledge.  The
tires have about 50% tread life remaining.  I have had all Lexus scheduled
maintenance performed at Lexus of Austin since I have owned this vehicle.  I
have the books, two remote keys and a credit card key.  I had  ceramic window
tint added when I purchased the car in August of last year.  The ONLY reason
that I am selling this black beauty is due to a major career/job change.  I now
must purchase a truck for my daily driver.  This car is an AMAZING ride and
drive.  This is the ULTIMATE road car!  This car has TONS of immediate power
(due to the TWO electric motors of the hybrid drive system) yet can also get you
about 26 MPG's on the highway cruising at 85 mph.  If you spend some time in
your car and want to have the best road car on the planet, this is it!  I have
already secured my new truck and am closing a deal on MONDAY, June 8th...so this
car is GOING TO A NEW HOME by the end of Monday.

Lexus to replace GX SUV with new TX crossover

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

There's been a lot of news regarding future Lexus products recently, including spy shots of new RC coupe and NX compact crossover, and reports that a 2+2 coupe based on the LF-LC concept is heading for production. Now, Automotive News says that Japan's #1 luxury automaker is planning to replace the fullsize, body-on-frame Lexus GX SUV with a three-row crossover called the TX.
The article says that the GX, which is based on the foreign-market Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, will get a styling update for 2014 before being phased out in 2016. In a similar move as Infiniti made with its new three-row JX/QX60, the new TX will be car-based, but details are still unknown as to whether it will be front-wheel-drive riding on the Toyota Avalon platform or rear-wheel-drive using the Lexus GS platform. Either way, this new luxury crossover could join the Lexus lineup as soon as late 2016.

Lexus says it's not worried about LS sales decline in face of S-Class, Model S

Fri, 04 Jul 2014

The Lexus LS is old. Sure, it received a refresh for model year 2013, but it hasn't had a clean-sheet redesign since George W. Bush was in office. It's the oldest vehicle in its segment, debuting in 2007, a full year before the current-gen BMW 7 Series, two years before the Hyundai Equus and Jaguar XJ and three years before the Audi A8.
This is particularly troubling as buyers flock to the heavily redesigned Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which debuted late last year, and the all-electric Tesla Model S. Despite this move, though, Lexus is (worryingly in our minds) not at all concerned.
"We don't feel it's a problem with the car," Brian Smith, VP of marketing for Lexus, told Wards Auto. "Many of the buyers in that segment want what's new and they're trying it."

Google self-driving Lexus crashes into a bus

Mon, Feb 29 2016

Google's self-driving cars have been in accidents before, but always on the receiving end... at least, until now. The company has filed a California DMV accident report (PDF) confirming that one of its autonomous vehicles (a Lexus RX450h) collided with a bus in Mountain View. The crash happened when the robotic SUV had to go into the center lane to make a right turn around some sand bags – both the vehicle and its test driver incorrectly assumed that a bus approaching from behind would slow or stop to let the car through. The Lexus smacked into the side of the bus at low speed, damaging its front fender, wheel and sensor in the process. This was a minor incident, and we're happy to report that there were no injuries. However, this might be the first instance where one of Google's self-driving cars caused an accident. If so, the Mountain View crew can no longer say it's an innocent dove on the roads -- while this wasn't a glitch, its software made a decision that led to a crash. We've reached out to Google to see if it can elaborate on what happened. No matter what the response, it was always going to be difficult to avoid this kind of incident. Until self-driving cars can anticipate every possible road hazard, there's always a chance that they'll either be confused or make choices with unexpected (and sometimes unfortunate) consequences. However, the hope at this early stage isn't to achieve a flawless track record. Instead, it's to show that self-driving cars can be safer overall than their human-piloted counterparts.Related Video:This article by Jon Fingas originally ran on Engadget, the definitive guide to this connected life.
