Selling a great looking 2008 Lexus IS 250 with ONLY 61k original miles. All around great car, no mechanical issues whatsoever. It does have a salvage title so, please read 100% Full Disclosure below.
!!! WARNING!!!PLEASE DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER OR BID IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN (10) POSITIVE FEEDBACKS, PLEASE DO NOT RUIN THIS FOR ANYONE!!! Specs: - V6 2.5L Engine (Very Fuel Efficient) - 6 Speed Automatic transmission - Rear Wheel Drive - Stabilizer Bar for precise handling - Takeda Air Intake - HID Xenon Headlights - Fog Lights - Tinted Windows - KeyLess Entry / KeyLess exit - KeyLess Start - Sunroof - Leather, HEATED/COOLED Seats - Heated Side Mirrors - CD Changer - AUX Input - Dimmable Rear view mirror/ built in garage door opener - Cruise Control - Power Locks/Seats/Windows/Mirrors - 18" Alloy Wheels - New Tires ETC .... Recent Maintenance: - Coolant Flush with OEM Lexus Fluid - Serpentine Belt - Oil Change - Air Filter Change - New tires As you can see the vehicle has been well taken care of with all recent and past maintenances done on time. I absolutely love the car and surely have enjoyed the cooled seats option throughout this summer. Engine sounds very smooth, transmission shifts are barely noticeable, all around the vehicle is very sound mechanically and haven't had any problems whatsoever. Drives very smooth on the highway, no noise, vibrations etc... So the mechanical aspect is 100% solid, as you would expect from a Lexus, super reliable car. Exterior does have some scratches here and there, nothing too major but you can see some scratches on the left side quarter panel, roof, doors etc. Hood has some paint nicks and imperfections. So the exterior is not in top shape but it's not a brand new vehicle, hence the minor imperfections. It also has a salvage title, the vehicle was involved in a front collision over a year ago, it was not substantial enough to deploy any of the airbags and all the minor damages were repaired. Since then it was driven for a while without any signs of issues. The only things that are missing from the vehicle are (2) engine covers as you can see in the pictures and (1) foglight cover. Other then that everything should be intact, EVERYTHING IS 100% FUNCTIONAL!! You will not find a thing that does not work on this car. All electronics function like new. I would love to keep the car but it's a little too small for me, I'm looking for an X5 07+. I'm sure someone will put it to better use than I have. Please thoroughly look through pictures and also the video I will post the link to below. My intention is to have a satisfied buyer, that is why I'm disclosing 100% of what I know about the vehicle. It retails for over $19,000 and you can own it at a substantial discount. Again it's a great car that will do the job and you can rely on it. It's not a new car, so if you are a stickler for scratches and minor imperfection please go see a Lexus dealer and pay 50k for a new one. Otherwise, this will make someone a great/reliable vehicle to enjoy. Upon the completion of an auction I require $150 Deposit to be paid through PayPal. The remaining balance will be paid in person via Cash/Certified Cashiers check. You can plan to drive or fly in Local, Charlotte NC airport. I will meet you, get the transaction completed and you can be on your way. This is a cash deal only, don't try to finance it because most banks are reluctant in dealing with Salvage Vehicles. If you have any further questions, please e-mail or text: 704-819-2996 Thanks for looking, and GOOD LUCK! EMAIL FOR LINK WITH MORE PICTURES. Consumer Reports says infotainment systems 'growing first-year reliability plague'
Mon, 27 Oct 2014The Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability Survey (right) is out, and the top two spots look much the same as last year's list with Lexus and Toyota in first and second place, respectively. However, there are some major shakeups for 2014, with Acura plunging eight spots from third in 2013 to 11th this year, and Mazda replaces it on the lowest step of the podium. Honda and Audi round out the top five. This year's list includes six Japanese brands in the top 10, two Europeans, one America and one Korean.
Acura isn't the only one taking a tumble, though. Infiniti is the biggest loser this year by dropping 14 spots to 20th place. Other big losses come from Mercedes-Benz with an 11-place fall to 24th, and GMC, which declines 10 positions to 19th.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it's not traditional mechanical bugs hauling down these automaker's reliability scores. Instead, pesky problems with infotainment systems are taking a series toll on the rankings. According to Consumer Reports, complaints about "in-car electronics" were the most grumbled about element in new cars. Problem areas included things like unresponsive touchscreens, issues pairing phones and multi-use controllers that refused to work right.
Lexus builds final LFA supercar
Mon, 17 Dec 2012Lexus has officially built the very last LFA. The 500th Lexus supercar rolled from the company's Motomachi facility on December 14th wearing all of the goodies of the Nürburgring package and white paint. Toyota's Lexus division started production on the car exactly two years ago on December 15, 2010 and built just one unit per working day. A total of 170 workers were hand-picked to handle parts manufacturing, assembly and painting for the LFA project. While Lexus has made it clear it will produce no more LFA models, lessons gleaned from the vehicle's construction may translate into other future products.
Specifically, Toyota says it may employ its carbon fiber reinforced plastic experience moving forward. As you may recall, the LFA made extensive use of CFRP and carbon fiber, and Lexus even created a special rotary loom to stitch together the supercar's A-pillars. Take a look at the brief press release on the last LFA below.
Autotrader picks best cars for 2015's college grads
Sun, May 31 2015Summer is here and the school season is winding to a close. That means millions of students will be graduating college and (hopefully) entering the workforce. For many, that will mean buying a new car suited to the new stage in life into which they will now be embarking. That can be a bewildering choice, especially for someone who's never bought a car before. Fortunately, Autotrader has come up with a short list of recommended cars – new and used – which it recommends to the graduating class of 2015. Among the site's top choices are some compelling crossovers and hatchbacks, including the Buick Encore, Chevy Trax, and Jeep Renegade, as well as the Honda Fit, Nissan Versa Note, Mazda3 and Fiat 500. Can't stretch to buying new, or don't see the point? Autotrader has also identified the Toyota Camry, Ford Fusion and even the Lexus IS as smart buys in the certified pre-owned category. "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," says Autotrader editor Brian Moody. "For example, while that hand-me-down SUV from your parents was nice when you turned 16, you may want to opt for a safer, more fuel-efficient car as you transition into the working world." Autotrader Names 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates ATLANTA, May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For many, graduating college is a milestone like no other – it represents a new chapter, a proud accomplishment and, fortunately or unfortunately, financial independence. Luckily for graduates who are in the market for a new car to suit their post-college lifestyle, Autotrader's expert editors say now is a great time to make a purchase, as dealerships are flush with affordable models that are fun, fuel-efficient and thoughtfully designed. Autotrader Logo "Any time someone goes through a major life change, such as graduating college, they need to determine if their current ride makes sense for their lifestyle, from both a financial and functional perspective," said Brian Moody, site editor for Autotrader.
