Up for sale is my 2003 Graphite Gray Pearl, Lexus IS300 5 SPEED with Limited Slip Differential! Alittle less than 5% of these ever came in 5 speed LSD, so here's your chance to own one! Just hit 153,000 miles and passed Tennessee Emissions/inspection with zero issues. NO check engine light, NO issues, EVERYTHING works! Motor runs EXTREMELY smooth and cool, and doesn't burn a single drop of coolant or oil. Parking brake/brakes, struts, steering, etc. are all tight! Transmission shifts like butter, clutch catches precisely and firmly. Wheels are painted black with colored metallic flake, Altezza taillights have been tinted red, and tints have been added to look alittle more classy. Seats have no rips or tears (just minor chaffing on the driver seat), leather in the front and back seats are flawless with no rips/tears as well, replaced stock headunit with a JVC double DIN KW-XR610 unit, and wiring is ran for a trunk subwoofer. Other than that, car is completely unmolested and stock! Vehicle has slight hail damage on the roof and hood, barely enough to worry about, but enough for the insurance company to classify it as "Hail Damage" once the claim was put through. Don't let the title scare you into passing up a GREAT car! Clear to see that the reason this car has the title categorized as Rebuilt is because of the hail damage. Price is definitely negotiable to any serious buyers with cash in hand, worst I can say is no! I do have the title in hand, and can be contacted at (203)-6 one 7-5 zero 6 three (located in Nasville) to answer any questions, take ANY specific photos, or end the auction early! Thanks and happy bidding!

Apple self-driving cars are real — one was just in an accident
Sat, Sep 1 2018An Apple self-driving car was involved in an accident in California, the technology company said in a filing to the state's Department of Motor Vehicles that confirmed speculation that it has begun testing such vehicles on the road. The accident happened last week when the test vehicle, a Lexus SUV, was rear-ended by a 2016 Nissan Leaf, according to the filing on the DMV website. Apple was not immediately available for comment. Apple has kept tight wraps on its ambitions for self-driving cars, declining to publicly acknowledge them until it wrote a letter to U.S. transportation regulators in late 2016 urging them not to restrict testing of the vehicles. Last year, Apple secured a permit to test autonomous vehicles in California. Lexus LF-LC approved for production
Thu, 28 Mar 2013On the sidelines of a press drive for the 2014 Lexus IS, the company's vice president of marketing in the US told Ward's Auto that the honchos in Japan have approved the Lexus LF-LC concept for production. He wouldn't offer any other details on how the luxury coupe might be transformed into a vehicle for the buying masses, and that has led to a bag full of speculation.
The show car was hybrid-powered and rear-wheel drive, a beautifully executed stab by Toyota designers in Newport Beach at redefining Lexus, but even with the concept, the point was to keep it "within reach for premium buyers." The report says the odds are on limited production and higher pricing than Lexus' "mainstream products," and other sites have speculated on what kind of powertrain it might end up in showrooms with.
GT Channel posits that the LF-LC will be the inspiration for a coupe in the Lexus LS price bracket with a choice of either the 4.2-liter V8 or the hybrid powertrain from the LS 600h, further speculating it will be called LC 550 and cost more than $100,000. It then says that there would be another coupe created beneath that one to replace the SC 430. Lexus Enthusiast, however, calls those "warmed-over rumors" and says that the marque probably won't deviate from its engine-capacity-naming scheme - labeling a car with a 4.2-liter V8 an LC 550. Nor does it think Lexus will use the letters LC after the company has trademarked "RC" in the US and Australia.
Online Find of the Day: Lexus-engined Mercedes pickup is a vintage hybrid
Tue, 16 Sep 2014You have to love someone who gets incredibly committed to a very weird idea. What you see for sale here is a right-hand drive 1971 Mercedes-Benz 220D in South Africa, but this old Mercedes is now converted into a pickup, complete with bed cover, and there's big secret under the hood, too.
The pickup conversion appears well done based on seller Sedgefield Classic Cars' photos. Even the tonneau cover fits well. You could almost believe that this Mercedes lived its life as a Chevrolet El Camino-like pickup from the very beginning.
However, the rear-quarters conversion might not be the weirdest thing about this Mercedes. The original diesel is gone from the engine bay in favor of a Lexus V8. It seems really odd to pop the hood and find a Japanese mill in this German car, but the photos make it look like a fairly well performed swap. So, bravo to the crazy thinking. According to the seller speaking to Autoblog by email, "as far as we can establish, this was done a few years ago, with all Lexus components."
