Welcome to a great opportunity. Have you ever heard of that 1-owner, extremely low mileage, exclusively Florida-kept automobile that was owned and driven by a little old lady, probably only to and from church on Sunday? Well, we're not sure about the religious nature of her trips, but this is that car!

Simply put, this 2006 Lexus ES330 runs and drives like new. It was purchased at Lexus of Kendall (a suburb of Miami) and was serviced by the professionals at the Lexus dealership. No squeaks, rattles, or noises, just an ultra-luxurious and ultra-smooth ride that only a Lexus can provide. There is a reason that Lexus is considered by many automotive experts as the best riding luxury brand of any of the premium automobile makers in the world. And with only 24,000 original, sunny South Florida miles, this ES330 is just getting broken in. It is not uncommon to see this extremely durable engine and transmission combination reach 200,000 miles + of trouble-free performance. A powerful 218 horsepower 3.3 liter VVT powerplant with a smooth, 5-speed electronically controlled transmission will provide you with one of the smoothest driving experiences you will ever have.  It has recently had its Lexus recommended 35,000 mile service performed (Yes, it had the 35,000 mile serviced performed WAY ahead of schedule), and has a fresh Synthetic oil change, new air filter and wipers, and interior cabin filters as well as cooling system service and flush. The air conditioning is ice cold, and for those of you in non-tropical climates, the heater works great. Proper, and scheduled Lexus recommended maintenance doesn't get any better than on this ES330 beauty.

The rich, elegant leather and wood trimmed interior is in outstanding condition, and it certainly shows! Grandma didn't have any dogs or pets in the car, and the grandchildren weren't allowed in this car. The rear seats appear to have hardly been used. The rich Mahogany accents really showcase the ultra-luxurious Ivory leather very nicely with refinement abound the entire interior. The wood and leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob really emphasize the luxuriousness of the inside of this sedan. It is immensely clean and fresh. This one-owner Lexus was owned by a senior, and she did her best to have it regularly serviced and cleaned.

It runs and drives phenomenal, and the interior is extra-clean. The exterior presents a wonderful and beautiful finish. Being a Florida vehicle has HUGE benefits--(i.e. no harsh weather, no harsh roads, no hills or potholes and certainly no snow or salt)...you should be getting the picture. The same cannot be said of cars from other parts of the country. On this Lexus you can literally eat off of the undercarriage as well as the engine compartment. Both are as close to new as you can find. You will not see that on a northern, or Midwest vehicle. And then once the corrosion sets in on a vehicle from other parts of the country, things will begin to rust. Things that you can see, and unfortunately, things that you cannot see. Not the case here. This car is as clean as a whistle!

So the finish is brilliant and the color is outstanding. Lexus calls it Black Onyx. Of course, no dents, dings or unsightly parking lot mishaps. None of that, Grandma wouldn't stand for it. The factory aluminum alloy wheels have a complete set of Premium All-season performance radials all the way around and they are brand new. Brand new touring radials are a great bonus, to safely grip the road...in any driving condition. Wet, Dry...and even Snow! The rims look like new as well, with no curb rash or chips that you sometimes see. There was no skimping of the service on this Lexus at all by the previous gal!

This Lexus is fully loaded. It has complete power options as well as dual power front seats, factory power glass moonroof, express touch windows, Premium Audio System with 6-disc CD changer and 8 surround sound speakers, factory security system, Solar ray factory tinted glass, independent electronic climate control and so much more. Everything works perfectly and properly, just as you would expect from a low mileage, well-maintained automobile. This car is a creampuff!

The latest September 2014 NADA Used Car Guide shows the retail value of this 2006 Lexus ES330 to be over $19,775 and certainly much more at your friendly neighborhood Lexus dealership or local high-image Import Auto Boutique. Clean Trade-in value is $16,275.... This is a unique color and has a one-owner and Florida-kept pedigree. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions that you may have. I am including all the original books, manuals and supplements that came with this car when new, as well as a complete set of original Lexus carpeted floor mats and both sets of original laser-cut Lexus keys (with remotes). This ES330 drives and runs outstanding, it gets excellent fuel economy and is very roomy. Plenty of room in the trunk for golf clubs or multiple suitcases, and the interior provides comfortable seating for 5 adults. This is a sensational car to take on a long road trip. With only 24,671 original miles, this Lexus was used sparingly. That's less than 3,000 miles per year folks! And again, very easy miles by an older owner, and pleasant Florida roads.

Don't make the mistake of missing out on this rare find. We are running this auction for 7 days with an attractive Buy-It-Now price and only slightly lower reserve. This car is complete with books, mats, keys, etc. and while other 2006 Lexus ES330's offered for sale in the nation have an AutoCheck Vehicle History Report with scores ranging from 76 to 88, our scored an Ultra-impressive 89! How's that for peace of mind! This is the rare, and especially rare opportunity that you have been waiting for. Don't miss out! We charge a $299 dealer fee to each purchase. Good Luck to everyone bidding on this classy, best color combination, extremely low mileage Lexus ES330, that you will love driving and especially owning. Bid with confidence and Bid to win!

Toyota may return to F1 under Lexus banner

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

A new report in from the website Club Lexus claims to have insider knowledge about a return to Formula One racing by Toyota, this time under the auspices of the Lexus brand. Toyota competed in F1 from 2002 through the 2009 season. That final year saw the team return competitive, if inconsistent results, but the larger economic woes in the automotive market made a decision to pull the plug relatively easy at the time.
Now, citing recent interviews with Toyota executives and insider sources, Club Lexus says that the move to re-enter F1 for the 2014 season is "all but finalized." The choice to go with the Lexus nameplate over Toyota makes some sense, too, considering the success that rival Infiniti has had in recent years through its partnership with Red Bull Racing. Further, the emerging Lexus identity as a performance car builder, with a strong background in hybrid vehicles, could help the F1 move resonate with buyers.
A few technological factors and formula changes within F1 offer some credence to the Lexus rumor, too. F1 will increase the available capacity of KERS from 60kW to 120kW, a change that theoretically benefits the hybrid-savvy Toyota. What's more, 2014 will see a switch from the current 2.4-liter V8 engines to 1.6-liter turbocharged V6s. A Lexus team that goes racing in 2014 will be on a level playing field with the rest of the grid then, with all teams adjusting to and continuing to develop the new engines.

The 2016 Lexus RX is more of everything [w/video]

Wed, Apr 1 2015

Both literally and symbolically, the RX is Lexus. The crossover accounts for more than a third of the brand's overall sales. Last year Lexus moved 107,490 RX 350s, almost as much as every BMW SUV combined. The first-generation RX 300 was such a hit it forced other luxury automakers to follow suit. And the outgoing third-gen model epitomizes the current challenge Lexus faces: it's comfortable, but boring – exactly like the reputation the brand wants to shed. The new 2016 Lexus RX, then, is the Lexus weathervane. In short: more style, space, and technology while retaining the plushness that keeps current owners happy. As is current Lexus tradition, the RX gets a massive spindle grille. And while there are more creases and character lines than before, the overall styling is softer than the angular NX. The conservative approach shows that Lexus took a cautious approach to its cash cow, while using lower-volume models like the RC coupe to push boundaries. Still, Lexus has made an honest attempt at sporting up the RX. The RX 350 retains the 3.5-liter V6 but gets a 30-horsepower boost to 300 hp, and the RX 450h now makes 300 ponies as well. In all-wheel-drive guise, both models can be had in F Sport trim, which brings exterior tweaks like 20-inch wheels and a unique instrument cluster. F Sport models also include an active stabilizer system to minimize roll in corners. All RX models also come with dampers and steering that automatically adjust to the driving situation. Inside, the new RX is loaded up with features, like a standard 12.3-inch infotainment screen and an optional color head-up display. A list of electronic safety features is too long to mention, but includes collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beams. See the press release below for the full rundown, or just trust us when we say you can get the RX with almost every driving aid out there. The rear seats now feature a power-fold feature, and when the seats are up second row passengers are treated to more leg- and knee-room. That extra interior space comes from an overall stretching of the RX. Wheelbase grows 1.9 inches, while length is up almost five inches. What the new RX doesn't yet have, but we're told is on the way, is a third row of seats. The added versatility of a seven-passenger version should broaden the appeal of the RX to a wider audience. Expect to see the RX 350 and RX 450h in showrooms by the end of the year, with the three-row version coming sometime in 2016.

Nine cars we wish were convertibles

Thu, Apr 16 2015

The snow has melted, the sun is shining, and the days are getting longer. At the Autoblog Detroit office we feel like our winter hibernation is finally over. And with warmer temperatures come visions of opening up a convertible roof and cruising. You know, just turn up the bass and let the Alpine blast. There are plenty of droptops on sale in the US, and more on the way (like the 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata). That said, we always want more. More! More! More! In that spirit, we cooked up a list of nine cars aren't currently sold as convertible, but ought to be. Check out our picks, below. Summer's just around the corner. Subaru BRZ / Scion FR-S In some parallel universe, this car actually happened. Toyota showed us a FT 86 Convertible concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013, and we immediately started licking our chops over the thought of a rear-wheel-drive convertible based on the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S twins. These days, the MX-5 Miata is our only option for affordable roadster fun. A competitor to the Mazda seems like a no-brainer to us, especially since we have naught but good to say about the BRZ/FR-S as-is. Unfortunately in our present timeline, this car is as likely for production as a BRZ STI. Which is to say, not very. Dang. Lexus RC F Unlike the FR-S, a convertible from Toyota's luxury division might actually see the light of day. The current IS convertible is about to be phased out, and the Lexus LF-C2 concept from the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show is really a thinly veiled look at a possible RC convertible. A droptop RC would be plenty good, but let's reach for the starts. What we really want is to run topless in an RC F, complete with that powerful, loud, 5.0-liter V8 engine. Lexus says the RC F is a true competitor to the BMW M4. If that's true, it only makes sense for Lexus to mimic the Germans and offer its performance coupe in a folding hardtop form. Maybach Landaulet Maybach is bach back, recast as an upper crust trim level for Mercedes-Benz. The Mercedes-Maybach S600 is seriously awesome, and more luxurious than a trip to the spa. But why not go a step into the truly ridiculous levels of extravagence and bring back that open-top Landaulet? We think your local princess will love this idea, and with better S-Class bones underneath, Jeeves will have a pretty enjoyable ship to steer, too. Besides, with that slick new Mercedes design language, a Landaulet redux wouldn't be nearly as hideous as the old model, pictured here.
