1997 Lexus Sc300 Arizona Car New Car Trade on 2040-cars
Beaver, Pennsylvania, United States
First off our company Del-Hon Autosales has been in business for over 30 years at the same location about 30 miles north west of Pittsburgh. You can contact us Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm and on Saturday from 9am-3pm @724-728-8883 ask for Vince or Leyton.
We acquired this car off of a new car dealer who received it on trade. It was Registered in PA on March 8th, 2012 otherwise it has spent its entire life in Arizona. If it was not winter here in Pittsburgh this car would most likely have been sold already. We have set a reserve just under $5000. This car deserves to be garage kept. Our 1997 SC300 came out of Arizona and stayed there for the majority of its life. Typically you would never find a car of this age around here which has not been affected by the salt & chemicals on the road. The motor and transmission are extremely reliable as it is known as the LEGENDARY 2JZ which came in the Toyota Supras from 1993-98. There is a switch near the shifter which allows you to change the cars performance between economy and power mode. The transmission shifts smoothly on econ mode and raises the rpms on shifts during the power setting to allow for better performance. This is the luxury big brother of the Supra minus the turbo. If your a car guy this motor could be turbocharged quite easily. The timing belt has been replaced by a Lexus dealership previously @89,317 and the date of that was 1/30/2007. I would not hesitate to drive our SC300 across the country tomorrow if needed. The interior is in really great shape. The carpets are clean and the power leather seats are rip free. The power mirrors, windows, locks, tilt wheel, sunroof, and seats all work as they should. We have never seen a car like this which has such highly reinforced door hinges. You can tell this car was built with great quality and pride. As I previously stated in the vehicle condition description there is a small crack in the vinyl above the armrest on the drivers door. If you are looking for style this car has plenty of that. The paint and body are in great shape. It really sparkles in the sun shine. The chrome factory Lexus wheels really makes this ride stand out. The tires are atleast 70% if not better. No rust whatsoever and no raised spots where rust may eventually appear. Its a southern car!!! Read the vehicle description for the minor dings and small scratch which keeps the body from having a 10/10 rating. I would rate it at a 9 or better out of 10. All of the logos are on the car and there are no flaws with any of them. We are showing under body pictures car to show the quality of this SC300. This is truly a rare car for its age and condition. Feel free to ask any questions and to give us a call. If you want to come look at it before the auction ends you are more than welcome. We have in house notary service and have the title on hand. Buyer is responsible to set up shipping but if needed we can refer someone. We greatly appreciate your interest. Let the bidding begin! |

Lexus RC 350 F Sport ready to take on Europe's coupes
Fri, 28 Feb 2014Rumbling into the slot between the Lexus RC 350 Sport Coupe and the RC F is this, the RC 350 F Sport. Debuting at the Geneva Motor Show next week, the intergalactic malevolence of that spindle grille is given further aggression with a mesh treatment and 19-inch F Sport mesh wheels in dark metallic. Traditionally, F Sport models have also brandished unique fascias, but the standard RC is so visually aggressive to begin with, it still ought to throw quite a scare into rivals like the BMW 4 Series M Sport.
Bigger identifiers come in the cabin and under the skin, foremost being the redrum-reminiscent Rioja Red leather treatment and Silver Performance trim, perforated leather wrapped 'round the steering wheel and a moving center ring in the dash cluster inspired by the LFA. When the coupe is put into Sport+ mode, the included adaptive damping will kick in, and buyers can optionally order the four-wheel steering system when the car goes on sale in the US this fall.
There's a press release with info and specs below, a high-res gallery above and a bright lights, big city introduction on March 4 in Geneva.
2015 Lexus RC 350 F Sport snarls in Switzerland with darkened demeanor
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Lexus is finally ready to return to the coupe market with the new RC, and while we already saw it in Detroit, it brought the new RC 350 F Sport version for the Geneva Motor Show.
The car packs 306 horsepower and 277 pound-feet from its 3.5-liter V6 and is meant to sit between the standard RC 350 Sport Coupe and the full bore RC F.
Most obvious when you glimpse the coupe is the more aggressive spindle grille with a new mesh treatment and dark, 19-inch F Sport wheels. The interior also receives a host of upgrades with Rioja Red leather and Silver Performance trim, plus perforated leather trim on the steering wheel and shift knob. There is a bit of LFA inspiration as well with the F Sport getting its moving center ring instrument display. It is not all about better style though because the coupe also gets adaptive dampers and an optional four-wheel steering system.
2019 BMW M850i xDrive: How it compares on paper with other GT coupes
Wed, Jul 11 2018Although the hot new vehicles for the rich seem to mainly comprise SUVs and supercars, the neglected luxury GT coupe segment is starting to see some life again. The latest to add a spark to this set is the 2019 BMW M850i xDrive. It goes on sale later this year, and revives the 8 Series that's been dead since the 1990s. The first version available to Americans will be one with a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, with other versions likely following. Before it launches, we wanted to get a lay of the grand-touring land and see how the new BMW stacks up to the competition in performance, practicality and price. While some of these models have higher-performance or more-affordable iterations, we picked the versions that would be the closest match to this 8 Series model. They include the 2019 Lexus LC 500, 2018 Mercedes-Benz SL 550, 2018 Mercedes-Benz S 560 Coupe and the 2018 Maserati GranTurismo. We will also provide some short summaries on our experiences with these cars, but to get a full picture of each model, be sure to check out their full reviews. And if you want to compare any of these cars with models you don't see here, be sure to try out our car comparison tool. Engines, transmissions and performance On paper, the BMW M850i xDrive is clearly the performer of the group. It has the most power and torque at 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet. Coupled with all-wheel-drive and an eight-speed automatic, the car is able to overcome its relatively portly 4,478-pound curb weight to hit 60 mph in a scant 3.6 seconds. That's more than half a second quicker than the lightest car in the group, the Mercedes-Benz SL550, which weighs 4,012 pounds. The other three vehicles are in the low- to mid-4-second range to 60 mph. Though the Maserati is the slowest to 60 mph, it does boast the highest top speed of 186 mph. The M850i and SL 550 are electronically limited to 155 mph, while the Lexus is limited to 168 mph. The Mercedes S 560 has the lowest top speed at an electronically limited 130 mph. View 52 Photos Of interest is that there's a 50/50 split among these cars between using a pair of turbos, and having none at all. The BMW and Mercedes resort to forced induction, whereas the Lexus and Maserati choose to stay naturally aspirated. This is likely why the Germans break 500 pound-feet of torque, while the others don't make it to 400. Also interesting is the spread of gear quantity. The Maserati has just six ratios to choose from, and the Lexus has a whopping 10.
