Selling my Lexus SC400. I've owned this car for 10 years and have service records dating back to 2005. This car has been owned and cared for. It's Pearl white and has 243,000 miles on it. This is the V8 model and definitely has some power to it.
This has been the greatest car I've ever owned and has been treated with care. I have a stack of service records to back it up. This car has ICE COLD A/C, I've never been in a car with colder air. Upgrades K&N Air Filter True Dual Exhaust with upgraded mufflers and tips. The exhaust was custom designed by me, it has 2.5" pipes throughout that is straight piped through an X pipe and into mufflers. It's quiet when driving, just a little louder when you give it some gas on the road. I changed out the radio with a touchscreen Kenwood Double Din radio that has bluetooth where you can play music via your phone, also plays DVD's, has a USB port etc I have the original radio if you were to want it. Upgraded brushed chrome rims, I have an extra one also that I will sell with the car if you want it. Recent Maintenance in last 2 years I just replaced the entire front suspension, Lower and Upper control arms were replaced on 9/2 $1400 Brakes and Rotors 8/6 $269 New belt tensioner 1/1 $231 New ignition coils 8/22 $335 Front struts $600 Rack & Pinion and steering pump $1000 Brake power booster $633 New Idler Pulley $182 Had the headlights sanded down and completely redone, not like your typical spray on head light cleaner. These will never yellow again. $150 I've done the timing belt etc also. The drivers seat (like almost any SC400 with miles on it) is worn. I've included a photo so there are no surprises. Also the antenna is bent and I had the antenna mast cut so it wouldn't go up and down anymore. Easy fix just didn't do it because my radio reception was perfectly fine and I kind of liked not having the antenna come up and down. I've done my best to show exactly how the car is. I am not one who lets a vehicle go without fixing what's wrong with it. This has been my daily driver up until now and is still great. Honestly this will be a great car to anyone who buys it. If I weren't to have been given another vehicle due to an inheritance I would be driving this car for another 200,000 miles. There will be a $250 deposit via paypal within 48 hours. The remaining balance will need to clear my bank prior to the title changing hands. |

Lexus coupe caught in spy shots actually RC, headed for Tokyo reveal?
Tue, 16 Jul 2013Lexus may have pulled a fast one on us. The car our spy shooters spotted yesterday may not, in fact, be an IS F Coupe as we indicated. Rather, the car shown above may be a new model, dubbed RC, that will arrive at this year's Tokyo Motor Show.
Following a report from Automotive News, the RC is believed to be a pure coupe, rather than a hardtop convertible. This gels with information provided on the IS sedan's launch, when Lexus spokespeople said the IS Convertible would remain on the current platform. With styling based on the LF-CC from the 2012 Paris show, the new car will share a rear-drive platform with the IS and GS sedans.
Power is expected to come from a 3.5-liter V6 that turns out 306 horsepower. That car will likely wear the RC 350 badge. A hybrid model is expected to follow, but in a twist, it won't be coming to the US. The big news, though, is that the RC will spawn an RC F.
Lexus IS, new and old, and LFA to make splash at SEMA
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Lexus has announced its Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show cars: a group of eight Lexus IS sedans spanning all three generations, and a 2012 LFA supercar. One of the show cars, a custom 2014 Lexus IS 350 F Sport, is a creation penned by IS fan Rob Evans, the winner of a contest to design a Lexus SEMA show car.
The standouts in the group of Lexus IS show cars, in no particular order, are a 700-horsepower 2014 Lexus IS 340 (it has a heavily modified Toyota Supra inline six swapped in, which is stroked out to 3.4 liters, hence the nomenclature change) by Philip Case and a supercharged 2004 Lexus IS 300 by Maricar Cortez. Both cars prove that oldies can be goodies - the venerable Supra 2JZTE engine, which ceased production over a decade ago, lives on in a 2014 platform, and the 2004 IS 300 gets a supercharger and remains relevant through the use of electronics, such as a back-up radar sensor, upgraded headlights and more.
Of course, the LFA by Guy S. De Alwis will be a stand out on its own, but unfortunately Lexus only provided us with a couple pictures that don't do it justice. We'll have to take a closer look at it on the show floor. Same goes for the IS penned by contest-winner Rob Evans, of which only a rendering was provided.
Lexus planning a hydrogen fuel-cell LS by 2017
Sun, Jan 4 2015Toyota's Fuel Cell System will certainly migrate to other vehicles in the carmaker's lineup, but Australian car site Motoring reports that one of the models at the head of the queue is the Lexus LS. According to its sources, the executive barge powered by hydrogen will be released by 2017 and take the top spot in the range, rolling in above the LS Hybrid. We're told that Toyota engineers will find a way to slide two hydrogen tanks into its bodywork with the same general setup as on the Mirai – one under the rear seats and another under the rear parcel shelf. The 150-kW fuel cell stack will be placed under the front seats. Motoring says the resulting sedan and its 220-kW electric motor would come in "at around 2,100 kg," which is 4,620 pounds; that's a ginormous 539 pounds less than the listed curb weight of the current LS Hybrid, and 387 pounds more than the standard LS. Assuming all goes as planned, it would have a range of roughly 238 miles, a few dozens less than the Mirai's range of about 300 miles. It would look slightly different, too, the front end getting larger intakes to cool the power unit. It wouldn't surprise us if Lexus does have a hydrogen LS planned – it would be a statement car, and the company likes making statements, even if few heed them; it has stuck with its LS 600h for the past seven years, yet of the 7,539 LS models sold through the end of November this year, only 61 of them were hybrids. The timing would be intriguing, however; by the time the LS hybrid came out, Lexus had already worked over its filet-and-potatoes models. And if the hydrogen version is going to come in above the $120,440 hybrid, well, that will be a statement indeed.
