2013 Lexus Rx350 Base Sport Utility 4-door 3.5l on 2040-cars

Year:2013 Mileage:9200
Location:

Belmond, Iowa, United States

Belmond, Iowa, United States

This is essentially a brand new car in pristine condition.

It was parked indoors at home and office.

It has almost every option available on the model other than the DVD entertainment system.

That includes the Premium options package with Blind Spot Monitoring, Preferred Accessories Package, Comfort Package, Navigation system, Lexus 12-speaker premium audio system with surround sound, and Intuitive Park Assist.

The color is Deep Sea Mica with the Parchment leather interior.

I also purchased and will include the best aftermarket carpet mats by Luxe, the OEM carpet mats and front rubber mats.

Although they're not currently installed, I also have the cross bars for the roof rack.

One of the best features of this car is that it still carries the bulk of the original manufacturer's warranties which are fully transferable.

I took possession on May 1, 2013, so the remaining manufacturer's warranties are as follows: Basic warranty (bumper to bumper): Through May 1. 2017 or another 38,800 miles.

Power train, restraint systems and corrosion perforation warranty: Through May 1, 2019 or another 60,800 miles

I've loved driving this car and its predecessor, a Lexus RX 330 which I drove for 10 years.

However, I recently bought a Jeep and need to make some room in the garage!.

I've had no problems of any kind with this car, and have owned it only long enough for the first 5,000 mile scheduled maintenance.

You should think of it as a brand new car on which I've taken the depreciation hit for you!

Come take a look and drive it. I think you'll appreciate what a great car it is.

Thanks for looking guys! and happy bidding everyone!

Please contact me before bidding, I'm looking for a serious buyer, no time wasters!

Takata air bag recall list

Tue, Dec 9 2014

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration confirmed yesterday that 33.8 million vehicles with Takata airbags are going to be recalled. It's the largest recall in automotive history. The already record-breaking rate of automotive recalls this year shows no signs of slowing down, especially since millions of cars with defective airbags made by global supplier Takata are under ongoing scrutiny. The federal government is warning owners that inflator mechanisms in the air bags can rupture, causing metal fragments to fly out when the bags are deployed. The faulty air bags have already been blamed for multiple deaths. How do you know if your vehicle is safe? The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration released an updated list of vehicles under recall. Sometimes however, the government's website will crash and the list may not be complete. Check your VIN at the NHTSA website to make sure. The list of cars affected by the recall has not been released, but seem to span multiple models over the years for many of the automakers.

Toyota offered $146.5 million to build Lexus ES in Kentucky

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

Toyota posted a media advisory yesterday saying that Akio Toyoda, president of Toyota, and Jim Lentz, CEO of Toyota North America, would be making a production announcement tomorrow in New York City, and Automotive News reports that the automaker will be announcing a plan to domestically produce the Lexus ES. According to the report, numerous plants are competing to build the ES in North America, and the State of Kentucky has offered the automaker up to $146.5 million to build the luxury sedan at the Georgetown, KY assembly plant.
If Georgetown gets the ES, which has been built in Japan since its debut in 1989, it would be built alongside the Toyota Camry, which is somewhat ironic since in our review of the 2013 Lexus ES350, we wrote that this ES finally says "goodbye to its Camry roots." In order to get the whole amount offered, the article states that Toyota would have to invest $531.2 million and hire 570 full-time workers at the plant, which doesn't sound all that unreasonable since the plant would require an additional 50,000 units of annual production, not to mention the fact that the Georgetown facility is already at its capacity for building the Camry.

Judge halts Toyota unintended acceleration cases, triggers time for settlement negotiations

Mon, 16 Dec 2013

So far, the lawsuits brought forth against Toyota for unintended acceleration have gone both ways: the automaker was found not at fault in a 2009 California crash and liable for a 2007 crash in Oklahoma. Both cases involved a Camry and resulted in fatalities. With a big chunk of these UA cases (around 200) set to his the docket of US District Judge James V. Selna in Santa Ana, California, Bloomberg is reporting that the judge has halted the lawsuits until March after Toyota and its lawyers have had extra time to try and settle the cases.
According to the article, Toyota is looking to take care of the cases out of court with an "intensive settlement process." Having already paid out $1.6 billion in "economic loss" suits, this latest settlement process is aimed at the wrongful death and personal injury cases allegedly associated with unintended acceleration. A hearing for the settlements will be held on January 14 with conferences on the matter commencing in February. There is no word as to when lawsuits may start back up if settlements can't be agreed upon.
