2008 Lexus Rx400h Base Sport Utility 4-door 3.3l on 2040-cars
Dunedin, Florida, United States
Obviously, because it's on here, I have decided to sell my '08 400H Lexus. We love it, but when I bought it, the purpose (having moved to Florida) was partly going green, and partly needing a vehicle large enough to evacuate my disabled daughter, her 90 lb service dog, a cat, me and her medical supplies, and also it's just an awesome high-quality vehicle… because it's a Lexus Hybrid. Many of my friends who own Lexus drive them for 150k miles before they'll even consider upgrading to another Lexus because they are so well made. I chose this also because I could fit her wheelchair stroller in it. The only modification added are running boards, which are included in the Kelly Blue Book value estimation. This is fantastic if you're short, have kids, or folks with limited mobility who find stepping up into the car without the step difficult. Since our family has grown to two adults, kiddo, two dogs, two cats, and "stuff" - it's not big enough to evacuate and we're in hurricane season and we live a few miles from the gulf. We also have three other cars to include an F-150 so we decided to keep the larger vehicle for towing, pulling a boat, etc. We dearly love the car but it's not practical for our evolved needs. It's in great shape, extremely low mileage, garage kept, non smoking, extended warranty, no accidents, FULLY LOADED, etc. If you know someone interested in a single owner Lexus Hybrid, please share this listing with them.
We have the after-market Service Dog gate barrier that goes behind the back seats , which would work for any dogs. We don't use it anymore because the dog won't jump over the seats but if someone wants it, if we still have it, you're welcome to it. Black with Black Leather Interior v6 Hybrid 3.3 Liter Automatic CVT, Premium Package, Traction Control, Stability Control, ABS Keyless entry, A/C, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Cruise Control Backup Camera, Air Bags, Dual Power Heated Seats, Leather, Moon Roof, Privacy Glass Running Boards, Daytime Running Lights, Blue Interior Lexus Floor Lamps, Multi-CD, BlueTooth, Navigation Premium Alloy Wheels, Roof Rack, Tilt & Telescoping Steering Wheel, Power Steering. You can hook your smart phone through the BlueTooth for phone via the car speaker and audio system. The Lexus has an address book that integrates with your phone and can pair. You can also pair a neighborhood security gate and your garage doors to it as it has three remotes for that. Button one-touch power lift gate. Comes with back weather mat, Lexus floor mats, hidden compartment that has back hatch cover for security and a cargo net. Optional Warranty goes to 9/2016 or 100,000 miles - if you want the warranty, it's currently valued at $1891.94 and includes the transfer fee. I will either sell you the warranty for that exact amount or just have Lexus refund it to me. It is NOT included in the price of the car. If you purchase the car, you will need to let me know if you want the warranty transferred and we will make arrangements to add this into the price of the car or a separate transaction. Mileage as of 7/12/14 - 63,098 VIN: JTJHW31U982866362 |

Luxury car brands scrambling to avoid a blue Christmas
Thu, Nov 2 2017DETROIT — When financial markets surge to new records, sales of luxury cars usually rise, too. Instead, October U.S. auto sales reports on Wednesday showed that a collapse in sales of luxury sedans is accelerating. Consumers have gradually shifted over to luxury sport utility vehicles from sedans in the past decade, but the trend — which has occurred in both the non-luxury and luxury sedan segments of the auto market — was particularly pronounced in October. Sales of Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz S-Class, long a global benchmark for large, premium sedans, plunged 49 percent in October, and are down 24.8 percent for the year to date. General Motors' Cadillac brand said it sold just 779 of its CTS sedans in October. Demand for that car, designed to compete with German luxury sedans, is down nearly 33 percent for the year. "There's still a significant portion of the market that wants a car, but I'm sure there were people who preferred a horse to a car at one point." Cadillac's best-selling model this year is the XT5 compact SUV, which has more than doubled sales from a year ago. The shift within the luxury vehicle market away from sedans toward SUVs of all sizes is forcing some of the most prestigious brands to scramble to add SUV models to their lineups or boost SUV production to meet demand. "In the short term, there will be pressure to add (consumer) incentives, cut production or both," said Cox Automotive analyst Michelle Krebs. "And we just don't see an end in sight to this trend." The Dow Jones Industrial Average has been trading at all-time highs, usually a good sign for luxury sedans, but as major automakers reported new U.S. vehicle sales for October on Wednesday, sales for passenger cars continued their slide while luxury SUV and crossover sales rose again. According to Kelley Blue Book data, in 2007 luxury sedans made up 7.6 percent of U.S. new vehicle sales, while luxury SUVs made up 4.2 percent. Through September this year, luxury SUVs made up just over 7 percent of the market, compared with 4.9 percent for luxury sedans. In the short term, luxury brands could use holiday season sales promotions to clear slow-selling sedans off dealer lots, analysts said. Toyota's Lexus brand said on Wednesday it will launch its "December to Remember" year-end sales promotion for the 18th straight year.
The Lexus Sriracha IS is the hottest Lexus ever
Wed, Nov 16 2016For this year's Los Angeles auto show, Lexus created its hottest IS ever: the Sriracha IS. And the company did so by putting Sriracha sauce in everything! It's in the paint, the steering wheel, and even in the trunk! Check out the video if you don't believe us. Ok, so Lexus didn't really put Sriracha in everything. In reality, the company partnered with Huy Fong Foods to produce this one-off car, and turned to West Coast Customs to execute it. It features a custom paint job designed to emulate the look of Sriracha sauce, and green accents on the grille, mirrors, brake calipers, and exhaust tips are a call back to the food company's sauce bottles. View 13 Photos Inside, West Coast Customs created some clever and surprisingly subtle changes. The climate controls only show increasing heat levels, and the seat heater buttons are bright red with little flames above the seat icons. The drive selector trades sport mode for "Sriracha" mode. The seats get red and green inserts along with logos stitched into the seat backs. Other parts of the interior have green contrast stitching, too. The steering wheel is a particularly unique piece. West Coast Customs found a liquid that looks similar to sriracha, put it a resin container and shaped it to fit the steering wheel, so now it looks like there's sriracha in the steering wheel. It also has a warning sticker for "hot handling." And lest you think there isn't any real Sriracha anywhere in the car, you'll find 43 bottles of the stuff in the trunk, and the key fob dispenses some as well. As for how Lexus tops this, perhaps they could make a habanero or ghost pepper car. Or maybe they could show us a real IS F successor. We think another V8 Lexus would come across as pretty hot. Mercedes, Infiniti, Lexus rank tops with mystery shoppers
Thu, 11 Jul 2013If you want the best experience possible when buying a new car, then you'd better head down to your local Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, or Lexus showroom. According a mystery shopper study conducted by the Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, those three luxury brands ranked highest among the 33 makes surveyed. The highest scoring mainstream brands included GMC, Hyundai, Kia, and Ford.
The study asked 5,203 mystery shoppers about the tactics used by salespeople during their most recent automotive purchases, and found a few interesting parallels along the way. For example, dealers at Infiniti, Land Rover, and Smart leaned heavily on vehicle walk-arounds with potential customers, while Jaguar, Volvo, and Audi were quick to point out exclusive features.
This study contrasts with a similar study conducted by JD Power in 2012. Its Sales Satisfaction Survey listed Mini as the top scorer, while Pied Piper's mystery shoppers ranked the BMW-owned brand below the industry average. Lexus scored highly on both surveys, as did Infiniti and GMC.
