2005 Lexus Lx470 - Original Owner, Great Shape, Well Maintained, Loaded Ca Car on 2040-cars
Danville, California, United States
Family is selling our original owner Lexus LX470 with 119,200 miles on the clock. We bought this car new, fully loaded and it has served our family incredibly well over the years. The 4x4 and extra seats make it a great car for Tahoe.
The car came with the Mark Levinson audio system and it has the rear passenger tv/dvd setup for the kids. Also included in the fully loaded package was the air-ride suspension, night vision display, backup camera, heated seats, bluetooth, 6 disc and navigation. We take pride in taking care and maintaining our vehicles. The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles, and all of the regular service intervals have been hit, including the doosey of a 90,000 service. The tires have around 20,000 miles on them as well as the rotors and brake pads. The car has never had any mechanical issue and runs like a champ still. It has never been in an accident and overall is still in fantastic shape. It has the occasional nick and imperfection, as many cars are prone to get over the years. The paint has been waxed once a year and still maintains a great shine. It has lived in a garage its whole life. We are a smoke free family and so is the car! The only downsides are there is a slight rash on the front bumper and some punk kid keyed the passenger window. I have never seen someone key a window and not the paint, but somehow we managed to attract that unique whacko. I have taken photos of both of these. Overall it is a fantastic car and should serve you well for many years and miles to come. I am happy to answer any questions, arrange a test drive or take more photos as needed. The title is clear and ready to be transferred. And sorry but we are not interested in any trades. Thanks! |

2013 Lexus ES300h
Wed, 27 Feb 2013The Lexus ES lineup, the brand's bread-and-butter sedan, has been completely redone for 2013. With that tip-to-tail rework comes the model's first hybrid. We think the ES350 is better in every way than its predecessor, so a spin in the ES300h is warranted to see what it's like to live with the model sure to become the best-selling Lexus hybrid sedan. In particular, we wanted to see how the gas-electric luxury cruiser handled the battery-sapping realities of winter, so we ventured out into the slush and snow to file this report.
Driving Notes:
Peel away the slush, and this car sure is sharp-looking. It strongly resembles the excellent new GS, no bad thing. With the move to the longer Toyota Avalon underpinnings, the ES300h is long and elegant. Lexus has really upped its styling game lately.
Lexus to replace GX SUV with new TX crossover
Wed, 31 Jul 2013There's been a lot of news regarding future Lexus products recently, including spy shots of new RC coupe and NX compact crossover, and reports that a 2+2 coupe based on the LF-LC concept is heading for production. Now, Automotive News says that Japan's #1 luxury automaker is planning to replace the fullsize, body-on-frame Lexus GX SUV with a three-row crossover called the TX.
The article says that the GX, which is based on the foreign-market Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, will get a styling update for 2014 before being phased out in 2016. In a similar move as Infiniti made with its new three-row JX/QX60, the new TX will be car-based, but details are still unknown as to whether it will be front-wheel-drive riding on the Toyota Avalon platform or rear-wheel-drive using the Lexus GS platform. Either way, this new luxury crossover could join the Lexus lineup as soon as late 2016.
Production Lexus NX leaked in Jim Lentz presentation?
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Before kicking off the Detroit Auto Show, the Society of Automotive Analysts had Toyota CEO Jim Lentz come on stage to say some words about the future of the auto industry, as well as what's coming for Toyota. While this type of information would normally stay off our radar, a video of his speech likely gives us our first look - albeit low-res - at the production version of the Lexus NX compact crossover.
In the video recorded by AmericaJR, Lentz refers to the turbocharged LF-NX Concept that was on display at the Tokyo Motor Show, but comparing this image to our gallery from Tokyo, there are clear differences between the two vehicles. These include the toned-down shape of the spindle grille, lower fascia crease and door mirrors as well as a headlight design that more closely resembles that of the 2014 IS sedan and the newly introduced RC coupe. From what we can see of the rest of this image, the NX should retain some of the LF-NX's angular side body creases. The vehicle you see above basically looks ready for production.
If this is in fact the NX, then reports of a Geneva debut for the luxury crossover seem even more accurate. The entire video is posted below, but the NX comes on screen around the 10:40 mark.
