Pristine 2007 Lexus Ls460 L White Vossen 22 Luxury Pkg/rear Seat Pkg Loaded!!!!! on 2040-cars
Chesapeake, Virginia, United States
Up for auction is the Flagship Model by Lexus ... this 2007 Lexus LS460L comes to you in pristine condition for its age and miles. This car has been in the family since day 1 ... my father bought it brand new and later sold it to me. It's by far the best car I've ever owned. Starfire Pearl exterior and an ivory/beige interior sets off the car nicely ... it has the dark maple wood grain which is a very rare color combination. This car is absolutely LOADED. It is equipped with the Luxury Package and Rear Entertainment Package ... Parking Guidance ... front and rear parking sensors ... windshield wipers are censored ... vehicle skid control ... heated/cooled seats in front and passenger. Rear seats recline. Power Side Sunshades and power rear sunshade. Soft touch close doors. Cooler in the rear. Suede roof liner which is just beautiful. Fold in mirrors. Mark Levinson premium sound system. 6 Disc CD/MP3 changer. Navigation. Back up camera. There are so many features of this car it would be hard to list them all. I have maintenance records for this vehicle since I have owned it. It has exclusively been serviced at Charles Barker Lexus of Virginia Beach. Extremely well taken care of. I have had zero issues with this car and as you probably already know Lexus is by far the most reliable luxury car in its class. These cars don't even break in until 100k miles so this car hasn't even scratched the surface of what it can endure. KBB still has this car over 28k without all the extra commodities I have added. I have custom 22" staggered wheels by Vossen that have been painted to match the color code of the car. 22x9 in the front and 22x10.5 in the rear. I also have the factory 18" wheels with Bridgestone all season tires in my garage which will be supplied to the buyer as well. Also, I have a prestigious society nav override installed so I can operate the Navigation Unit while in motion as well as DVD playback on the screen. This was bought directly from them for $350 and installed professionally. It is an absolute MUST for any owner as it makes it so much easier and convenient to key in directions, etc... I have had Lexus perform multiple TSB's to my car as well (most owners do not know of this) .... these are little things that Lexus will replace in your car free of charge that simply upgrades the vehicle. They do not, however, tell the consumers this information. Being a club lexus member I have been fortunate to learn of vast information regarding this car. You will not find a more pristine 2007 Lexus LS460L I can promise you this. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. |

Lexus ES 350 vs. Lincoln MKZ
Tue, Jun 6 2017Despite a lineup of well-received crossovers on the Lexus showroom, the midsize Lexus ES 350 four-door continues to appeal to consumers. Many of those customers are older, so you won't see marketing budgets directed toward them; no one, other than the pharmaceutical companies, is spending money marketing to baby boomers. But a midsize, moderately expressive sedan with an easy buying experience and almost coddled ownership still has its fans, and the Lexus ES 350 delivers those attributes in spades. We'd like to say Lincoln's MKZ (pictured above) is hot on the Lexus' heels, but Lincoln's lineup remains a work in progress. The Fusion-based MKZ offers a nice mix of attributes, but Lincoln's dealer count has shrunk, and many Lincoln outlets are located within – or immediately adjacent to – Ford stores. If a Fusion-based Lincoln credibly aspires to Lexus-like attributes, the same won't be said for the Ford showrooms. Here are the offerings: The Lexus ES 350 team has, over the sedan's several variations, worked hard to separate the volume Lexus from Toyota's similar Camry, and in 2017 that separation might actually be quantifiable. To its credit, the ES 350 (pictured at left) comes with but one non-hybrid drivetrain, a 3.5 liter V6 connected to a six-speed automatic driving the front wheels. With it, the ES 350 delivers a motoring experience bordering on the sublime. With the exception of its now-predictable big mouth grille, the balance of the ES sheetmetal is responsibly muted, inoffensive to the eye and should wear well through the typical payment cycle. Access to its moderately upscale interior is easy, and once inside you'll find expansive room (some 100 cubic feet) for four, along with adequate space for the occasional fifth. With a curb weight of just 3,600 pounds, the V6's 268 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque is responsive, and that's evident in the four-door's 7-second sprint to 60. This isn't a track day or autocross weapon, but if part of your day is a stressful commute, this will make it less so. With a base – albeit well appointed – spec, the ES 350 retails for just under $40,000. We would order ours in Atomic Silver, even if "atomic" seems so last-century. If you can forget – for a minute – the Matthew McConaughey connection, know that Lincoln's MKZ is fully credible as a midsize, mid-fashion sedan. If you like your Fords with more expressive interiors and additional driving refinement, there's a lot to like in Lincoln's MKZ.
Houston road rage incident devolves into all-out brawl
Tue, May 17 2016The video is no longer available. It appears the associated account has been terminated. Chaos erupted on a Houston freeway last weekend when an altercation spiraled out of control and ended up in a battle-royale style brawl in the middle of traffic. According to KTRK, David Dao and his daughter were traveling along FM 1960 on the morning of May 14 when they came upon a white Honda and a blue Ram truck parked in the right lane. The drivers and passengers of the vehicles were engaged in a spirited argument about something that had happened moments before Dao pulled up. Dao parked in his lane to block traffic in an attempt at making sure other drivers didn't hit the people fighting in the right lane, and instructed his daughter to start filming the incident in case they were needed as witnesses. As Dao's daughter filmed, the incident quickly escalated–harsh words were exchanged, a drink was thrown in a woman's face, and then the driver of the Ram kicked in the Honda's grille. "I couldn't believe it. As soon as he kicked the grille, I was like, 'This is going down now," said Dao. "I was thinking this is going to be bad. At that time, I knew because there was physical damage." As soon as the Ram driver kicked the Honda the entire situation went sideways and devolved into a huge brawl, with the people from both vehicles throwing wild punches and grappling with one another. A woman who was a passenger in the Ram attempted to break up the scrum but took a haymaker in the face for her troubles. Eventually, the fight broke up and the people returned to their vehicles which Dao assumed meant that the altercation was over. Apparently though, the Ram driver felt he hadn't made his point, and he reversed at high speed into the Honda, smashing the fascia and buckling the hood. The Ram then sped off westbound on U.S. 290 with the Honda on its tail. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the incident was not reported and there is no word what happened to the brawlers after they left the scene. What does a million-mile car really tell us?
Fri, Sep 18 2015A million miles. Nearly every car brand and motor oil company plays the million-mile marketing racket at some point. The typical recipe is to take a car that experienced a ton of low-stress highway miles, and make it a rolling testament to the long-term qualities of whatever reputation you're trying to prop up. Saab, Lincoln, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chrysler. It's a tired game that I would normally just consider one of the pointless ranking exercises of our time. But the truth is, when it comes to a car's longevity, it's almost always the owner that makes the real difference, not the brand. Like a pitcher at a baseball game, the owner mostly determines the victories and the defeats for his car. Some specific models are the basement dwellers of our time – I'm looking at you, Chrysler car with the 2.7-liter engine! But a lot of cars and trucks hit right around the average that is a powertrain whose longevity is mainly determined by that person who turns the key and hopefully learns that patient art of long-term ownership. The best owners are the ones who deserve the attention. So with that in mind, let me introduce you to Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus. This content is hosted by a third party. This Lexus could be written off as another cynical marketing exercise in this business, performed by those who didn't do the real driving in the past and have no plans at all on doing the bulk of the driving in the future. Matt's actually doing a few things that are genuinely cool, though. Letting other auto journalists and enthusiasts drive it along the way and giving Regular Car Reviews a crack at it. Focusing on the rare virtues of the first-generation Lexus, which, to be frank, can out-diesel a diesel. There is a great story to be had with this car. This isn't a car that was "going to the junkyard" and magically given the kiss of life. That story is far more vast than a guy who bought a high-mileage car in great overall condition. This isn't a car that was "going to the junkyard" and magically given the kiss of life so that it can endure the ages. This Lexus, like all other high-mileage models worthy of our love, has been given one hell of a good maintenance regimen by the prior owners. It was taken care of and primarily maintained at the dealership, where it probably received the best parts and service, thanks in enormous part to owners who were willing to pay that exorbitantly high bill.
