It's 13 years old, but still runs great. Timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, brakes (for rear brakes, calipers too), brake light assemblies replaced recently. Features and issues below:
1) New Timing belt, Water pump and Spark plugs (December 2013)
2) O2 sensors replaced (March 2013)
3) Front brake replaced (rotors and pads), (December 2013)
4) Remote starter installed. Great in winter (cost 200 including installation)
5) New brake light assembly (right and left), New LED license plate light (blue).
6) GPS (Pioneer AVIC D3). Working, but sometimes goes wrong. Radio function has no problem.
7) Right side headlight ballast and lamp replaced recently. HID and very bright.
8) I have to sell 4 very new snow tires mounted on original wheels. About 600 dollars worth. You need them for FR cars in winter.
9) New Tires on New Wheels, purchased in April. About 700 dollars.
10) Automatic transmission slightly not smooth from 1st to 2nd and 3rd. But no noise or any other issue. Some people might complain, but if you look for a perfectly smooth transmission for used cars, you should look for a newer economy car, not this car, or you should pay more to get a newer one, I recommend,
11) Passenger Seat heater not working.
12) automatic mode of airconditioner somewhat awkward. It's very cold and hot, but you need to switch manually. Maybe the sensor broken.
13) no major dents, but many scratches especially underparts. Left side rear bumper slightly distorted. the roof is very clean..

It's 2001 car and 155k miles, so has some issues as almost all cars as old as this one have. But I can say confidently that I did all I could do on this car. I keep all service records since I purchased it. The basic function as a car is no problem so far. I can't guarantee that it will never break down with a year or so like all other private sellers, but if you look for a better car within the same budget, why not trying to find a newer economy car such as Civics and Corollas or any other economy cars? This is a sporty sedan with much better steering and engine power. I am expecting buyers who want sporty cars within limited budget. KBB fair price is around 4000.

I prefer written communication first because I am a student from the country where this Lexus was made and people speak English terribly....But I will do my best and be sincere to my prospective buyers.

Next Lexus RX looks ready to roll

Wed, Jan 7 2015

Lexus' bread-and-butter crossover, the RX, has been long overdue for a substantial redesign, with the current third-gen crossover entering its sixth year on sale. Considering this, it's no surprise that the fourth-generation RX is well on its way to production readiness, as evidenced by our latest round of spy photos. This new model looks larger than the current RX, like the wheelbase has been stretched, which would likely explain reports that the company was looking at an optional third-row for the mid-sizer. Aesthetically, the Lexus spindle grille is easy to spot, as are its aggressive headlamps. It's unclear based on these images if the RX will adopt the same styling statement seen on the RC, IS and NX, with sharp LED running lamps mounted below the actual headlights, but it certainly seems likely. Besides the design changes, our spies report that Toyota will be working hard to shed weight, likely through the use of aluminum for the doors, hood and rear hatch. Underhood, expect the typical combo of a gas-powered six-cylinder as well as the V6/hybrid setup found in Lexus' 450h models. As for when we could expect to see the next-gen RX, your guess is as good as ours. Geneva is, as always, a candidate, as is April's New York Auto Show. Of course, should we confirm a debut at either show, we'll be sure to let you know. Stay tuned.

Lexus NX rolls on wheels made of ice

Tue, Dec 22 2015

To create this rolling ice sculpture, Lexus teamed up with London-based Hamilton Ice Sculptors, which fitted the compact luxury crossover with wheels and tires crafted from ice. The sub-zero craftsmen then deep-froze the entire vehicle, stored it at -22 degrees Fahrenheit, and drove it around London – pleasantly surprised to find that it started on the first try. As far as publicity stunts go, the finished product looks even cooler than the cardboard IS that Lexus had crafted a few months ago or the biometric glow-in-the-dark RC F from this past summer. The project took three months of research, design, and testing to carry out. The wheels replicate the alloys on the NX with millimetric precision, right down to the tread pattern, and each one took a team of four craftsmen 36 hours of work to complete. Of course, blocks of ice would have a hard time supporting the weight of the vehicle – especially while in motion – so the frozen wheels were reinforced with clear acrylic discs. And to make it all glow, they were also fitted with in-wheel LED lighting. This isn't the first time we've seen ice sculptors apply their skills to automobiles, following the frozen Canadian Tire pickup, Toyota Land Cruiser, Nissan Cube, and Saab Aero-X we've seen in recently years. But this one is at least as cool, in one sense or another. Scope out the results in the video above, and the process that went into their creation in the making-of video below. LEXUS NX RIDES ON THE WORLD'S COOLEST WHEELS – CRAFTED IN SOLID ICE The concept of driving on ice has taken on a whole new meaning for Lexus, which has crafted the world's first set of working wheels and tyres made from frozen water. Brussels, Belgium - True to its mission of "creating amazing" and inspired by the craftsmanship that goes into every vehicle it makes, Lexus commissioned a team of ice sculpture specialists to explore how ice could be used in place of conventional alloy metal and rubber. After three months' research, design and testing, the finished wheels were fitted to a Lexus NX for the ultimate ice drive. The car itself was deep-frozen, stored for five days at -30°C (it started first time) before being driven off down a London road. The addition of in-wheel LED lighting added an extra dramatic dimension to the cutting-edge contemporary styling of the NX.
