No trades, need to sell quick, already dropped price. This car has a built gte bottom end from a supra with oil squirters and all. At 15,000 miles the stock motor was ripped out and the car now has 60k which is 45k on the built motor so you can tell its meant to last and it has no leaks at all. It is bored out .30 over with CP piston and forged rods capable of holding well over 1000 horsepower. A stock supra block is generally good for about 700 wheel. Next, the top end was built with 264/272 cams and supertech valve springs and retainers. It is the original ge head which allows for better head flow. Following this setup is a brand new garret gt35r turbo which spools at about 3500 rpms. The entire system is based on the electromotive standalone unit TEC3. This is a very intricate and impressive unit and allows for manipulation of practically every variable. All of the engine is polished and has been meticulously cared for with spark changes every oil change. The car has racelogic, which allows for the desired percent of traction to be selected by cutting spark to compensate. It also has tein flex coilovers with EDFC to control how stiff the struts are while having the comfort of being in the car. Mated to the engine is a build R154 with brand new first and third gear as well as counter shaft with 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 4th, and 5th to reverse billit shift forks, and an HKS gold max twin disk clutch. The boost is currently at 17lbs with 490whp and 430 torque on pump gas but has a tune for race gas giving it 655whp. Since September it has been given a new turbo, 6 piston front big breaks, a new LSD differential, custom control arms, tow arms, traction arms, and new solid bushings throughout the entire rear end. I gave it a new subframe as well and have spared no expense with all new nuts and bolts. The car has a custom one piece steel drive shaft, as well as sitting on new continental extreme tires 275 out back and 245 up front. It has SSR type-c rims which weigh about 18lbs each (lighter than RPF1's) costing around $4000. This summer the timing belt was changed, serpentine belt, crankshaft pulley and seal. The brand new built tranny was also installed. In the interior is the expensive alcantara suede and leather combo and altezza gauge pod. It has three gauges. Obviously there is much more that I have not listed. I have every receipt ever put into this car totaling about $75000. This is a one of a kind car and I just don't drive it anymore. No trades, test drives more than welcome with cash in hand.

2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class vs big luxury off-roaders: How they compare on paper

Mon, May 7 2018

During our first drive of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class, the all-new SUV's product manager was asked to identify competitors that might have been benchmarked in its development. The look on his face was about the same as if someone had asked him to recite King Lear in Klingon. As far as Andreas Hoeppel was concerned, the G 550 and AMG G 63 doesn't actually have a rival, or at least something the engineers and designers thought to compare it against. The G-Class is a G-Class, who cares what the other guys are doing? Well, in case you care, we figured we'd plug the new G-Class' specs into the old Autoblog Comparo Generator 3000 (TM) to see how the G 550 and AMG G 63 compare to the Range Rover and its mightiest SVAutobiography Dynamic model, plus the Lexus LX 570 and Bentley Bentayga V8. Frankly, Heir Hoeppel was onto something as each of these is wildly different. But, they do share some common elements: giant size and weight, ultra-lux interiors, and far more off-roading capability than other luxury SUVs offer and any of its owners are likely to ever utilize. Sad. So enjoy this trip down specification lane, and if you're still left hungry, you can always check out our Range Rover comparison or create your very own comparo. Off-Road Clearances and Capability All the fancy off-roading software and special cameras in the world won't do you a lick of good if your SUV is too close to the ground or has low-hanging body work that'll get easily ripped off. As such, check out each of these uber-SUV's ground clearance, approach and departure angles, and wading/fording depths. In this case, the Range Rover has an advantage due to its air suspension that can raise itself into an Off-Roading height that's a whopping 2 inches higher than the new G-Wagen. Sadly for itself, Lexus only provides figures for its air suspension when in normal height. It could match or surpass the Range Rover for all we know (but doubt it). As Land Rover does provide figures for the Range Rover's approach and departure angles in normal and Off-Road height, you can get an idea of just how much clearance the new G-Wagen has without any fancy (and expensive to fix) raising and lowering air suspension hardware. In fact, its departure angle is better than even the Range Rover's Off-Road height. Bentley doesn't provide any such information despite touting the Bentayga's surprising off-roading talents.

This is what a Lexus RC-based 'four-door coupe' might look like

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

It feels like there is a secret law in Germany mandating that every domestic automaker there must offer at least one model with a four-door coupe bodystyle like the BMW Gran Coupes, Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7. Several of the German brands even have the swoopy sedans in multiple sizes. So far, Lexus has stayed out of that fray, but maybe not for long, if a recently spotted test car makes it to market.
The brand is known to be testing a highly styled four-door coupe, roughly the size of the GS, under heavy camouflage. Little is known about the new model at the moment, but its existence makes sense. If it really wants to take the on Germans, Lexus is going to have to fight them toe-to-toe with competing models - especially with ones understood to have high margins.
Pictured above is a rendering from artist Theophilus Chin imagining a slightly smaller take on the genre based on the RC coupe, which he calls the RC GT. His design leaves the original shape almost untouched, but shortens the front doors to allow room for a rear doors under the arching roof. His GT would be aimed more against the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and rumored Mercedes-Benz C-Class four-door coupe, rather than the larger models Lexus actually appears to be targeting with its vehicle under development. His concept certainly nails the look, though, and while it might not have a basis in reality, we thought that it's well-resolved enough that you'd want to take a look, if only as a "what could've been" flight of fancy.

Watch an Aventador, Viper and LFA play the songs of their people

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

Our friends at Road & Track recently stopped by Cars and Coffee in Irvine, California, with the 2013 SRT Viper and found themselves a place to park between a Lamborghini Aventador and a Lexus LFA. Those machines might as well be the three musketeers of ludicrous exhaust notes, and rather than keep those 24 raging cylinders muffled, R&T set about conducting an orchestra of internal combustion. On seeing these three lined up, we were more than prepared to call the Viper victorious when it came to tickling our ear drums, but the latest domestic V10 sounds down right civilized in this company.
If we're picking favorites, we have to say the LFA takes the cake. There's something about the noise of a street-legal V10 that can wrap it's tachometer all the way to 9,000 rpm that turns our knees to quivering dollops of jelly. Check out the clip below for a listen. We shouldn't need to tell you to get frisky with the volume.
