This car currently has a clear PA Title that was issued to me in 2007 when I bought the car fom someone in Oh. The OH title was an R title because the car was wrecked on the front drivers side in 2005. It was then rebuilt and retitled. I have owned it since 2007 and have had no problems with it. It drives straight and the steering is firm.
In 2010 I pulled the motor and swapped in a 2 JZGTE- VVTI ARISTO engine from Japan with 30k miles. At the time of the swap my car had 78k miles. The twins were pulled off the engine and a T-67 turbo is installed. All the seals and the timing belt were replaced before the motor was put in my car. The engine is controlled by a haltec f10x. The engine is stock with the addition of HKS- DLI ignition. Fuel is supplied by an in tank Walboro 255 pump, the supply and return lines are braided -6an hoses. It has a full 3 in exhaust with a hi flow cat.
The interior is stock except for a blitz turbo timer and a 3 gauge pod in the center console w/ A/F ratio, boost, and trans temp.
In 2010 I had a Carson tuned replica front bumper and elixir rear lip and side skirts installed and the whole car was repainted. The windows and tail lights are tinted and the head lights were taken apart and painted black and halos were installed as day time running lights.
The wheels are 3 piece JLINE 10RL3's in polish finish. Fronts are 19x8.5 w/ 225-35-19's rears are 19x9.5x19 w/ 265-30-19's. The drivers front wheel has a slow leak where the wheels bolt together, it needs re-sealed.
Last year I replaced the stock trans with a fully built race transmission with an upgrades valve body, sprag and a 3200 stall that I bought off of someone else. Since then the car misses 3rd gear when launched from a stop. It drives fine in normal conditions, I drive it now on a weekly basis. I do not know if it is something to do with the tuning and shift points with the new trans, or if the 3rd gear sprag is going bad and i haven't had time to have it looked at. I also have the stock transmission that will go with the car if wanted.
The car was tuned prior to the trans swap by Ray at PF Supercars and made 333 rwhp at 13 psi. I did not want to push it with the stock transmission at the time.

2014 Lexus IS gets TRD bits
Mon, 20 May 2013Toyota Racing Development (TRD) in Japan has designed cosmetic and performance bits that give the 2014 Lexus IS a front-to-back workover. Different from the F-Sport parts we expect from Lexus here, the full body kit runs 437,700 yen ($4,285 US) and starts with air deflectors at the lower edges of the front bumper, through to side skirts, a decklid spoiler and a rear bumper with a diffuser and quad exhaust tips.
For 288,750 yen ($2,830) you can sharpen responses with new shocks, springs, dampers, sway bar and bracing. The priciest individual component is the set of 19-inch wheels, four of them going for 527,625 yen (5,170 US). There's no word on US importation or pricing yet, but done up all in black like the IS above, we wouldn't mind seeing it here.
Toyota may put Mirai hydrogen fuel cell powertrain into a Lexus
Wed, Dec 24 2014Toyota is hoping to define the world of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles with its uniquely styled Mirai sedan in a fashion similar to the way the Prius pops into people's minds when they think of a hybrid. The Japanese automaker believes it can sell about 700 FCEVs worldwide in the first year alone and build rapidly from there to an estimated 3,000 sales in the US by 2017. Of course, not everyone is completely enamored with the Mirai's design. Toyota is rumored to have an alternative in the works to quell some of those naysayers, possibly taking flagship form with a new Lexus LS powered by fuel-cell tech. The LS FCEV could be unveiled by 2017 to sit at the very top of brand's lineup. According to an inside source speaking to the Australian website Motoring, the front end would feature larger air intakes to cool the electrical components. The fuel cell would reportedly be positioned under the front seat, and the hydrogen tanks would be located under and behind the rear seat. Somehow, Motoring claims that all of this might be lighter than the current LS600hL hybrid, to the tune about 440 pounds. The model is also claimed to offer a range of about 239 miles, just a bit shy of the Mirai's roughly 300 miles. Assuming this vehicle actually exists, the cost for buyers of this flagship would almost certainly ring up at more than the LS600hL's $120,440 base price. Autoblog has reached out to Toyota for any further info about this rumor, one way or the other. If we hear back, we'll update this story with the details.
