IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU BID.

You are bidding on a 2001 Lexus IS 300, it currently has about 144k miles. I am selling the car because I just bought a new Lexus IS-F.

This car includes the following upgrades:
-18'' Konig Wheels w/ NEW tires
-Upgraded full exhaust system(headers, intake, and exhaust)
-JVC Double-Din In Dash Receiver with DVD/CD/USB capabilities
-10'' Kicker L7 Subwoofer w/ Kicker box
-Eye lids
-Clear inner tails
- Midnight black grille w/ emblems
-Amplifier for Subwoofer

I bought the car at Northside Lexus, which is located in Houston, Texas. It still runs great, and the exterior is in good condition. The known defects include: CEL is on because of the aftermarket headers(Sometimes there can be issues with the o2 sensors), and there is a small barely noticeable mark on the hood and the bumper.

A beautiful car, in a rare color. Buyer is responsible for additional fees and shipping. Fun to drive, and I have never broken down or had any reliability issues with this car!

I just got a new detail, oil change, and wheels aligned.

PRICED TO SELL FAST, SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY. THANK YOU

I will answer as quickly as possible, I check my emails consistently. We can talk by phone, or email- which ever you prefer. I am here to help and I can answer most, if not all, of your questions. We can go over the car panel by panel.

Additional details:
-Smoke free
-I just spent over $700 on new Bridgestone racing tires from Firestone, I still have the receipt.
-Quality Wheels were bought from Discount Tire Co. for $1500.
-The paint is still in amazing condition, pictures do not do justice! There is the minor chip that is above the right rear window (in the pictures) I really don't know how that happened or why it could've but it really is not noticeable.
-This car was in one minor accident and has a CLEAR TITLE
- It was bought as a certified pre-owned from a certified Lexus dealership in Houston, these cars have the ability to put on much more mileage.
- The car will include the owners manual, remote for JVC In-Dash Receiver, Lexus Medical kit, 2 set of keys and the upgrades mentioned above. I also have the stock headers and exhaust if needed.
- The car interior has been maintained well, there are a few minor stains on the floor carpets but you can buy new carpet rugs for a quick fix if that bothers you. The seats are all in great condition.
-Lastly, I have described the car to the best of my ability, I am not a professional. The car will be sold as-is, however, I am confident that you will be happy with your new car. The winner of the auction can pick up the car or we will arrange for shipping by auto carrier(rates can be very competitive, no matter how far you live from TX)

Did BMW really win the luxury car sales race?

Sun, Feb 14 2016

As anyone who follows our monthly By The Numbers series already knows, the luxury car sales race in the United States was close all of last year as BMW, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz seesawed up and down for sales supremacy. At the end of the year, it was BMW on top of the standings with 346,023 total sales. Or was it? According to data released by Polk, comparing the actual number of vehicles registered between the three top luxury players in the US paints a slightly different picture. Polk's data suggests that only 335,259 BMWs were registered in 2015, compared to 340,392 Lexus models. Why the disparity? It's all a matter of timing. Actual end consumers buy new cars, in almost all cases, from a franchised dealer. BMW delivered 346,023 vehicles in 2015, but only 335,259 of them were registered by their new owners. Presumably, those 11,000 BMWs did (or will) end up registered in the driveways of consumers, but they hadn't before January 1, 2016. Lexus General Manager Jeff Bracken wrote in an email to Automotive News, "Luxury sales leadership as measured by vehicle registrations is important to Lexus as it represents actual consumers engaging directly with our dealers." Of course, it goes without saying that we'll be paying keen attention to the 2016 luxury car sales race as it unfolds. If it's anything like it was in 2015, it'll come down to the wire, and even then may not be entirely clear. NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022

Thu, Mar 17 2016

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.

2020 Lexus RC F adds hardcore Track Edition and lots of carbon fiber

Mon, Jan 14 2019

There's a shortage of high-performance naturally aspirated V8 engines in the United States these days. Fortunately, Lexus sees fit to keep its 5.0-liter V8 in production for the foreseeable future, updating it for 2020 and packaging it inside a revised RC F sports coupe. In its latest guise, the 5.0 spins out 472 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque, increases of 5 ponies and 6 lb-ft over the previous version. The RC F gets slightly revised styling for 2020 that includes minor updates to the headlights, taillights, and front and rear fascias. Underneath the skin, the coupe benefits from hollow half shafts, aluminum suspension bits, a lightened intake manifold, and a smaller air conditioning compressor all in a bid to save weight. Custom Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, a numerically higher rear axle ratio and the addition of a simple launch control system – press the brake, floor the gas, drop the brake – allows the 2020 RC F to hit 60 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds. 2020 Lexus RC F Track Edition View 30 Photos The biggest change for the RC F is the addition of a Track Edition for 2020. It's immediately recognizable by its massive carbon fiber rear wing and lower front spoiler. That fixed rear wing is lighter than the active spoiler of the standard RC F while simultaneously adding up to 58 more pounds of downforce and reducing drag. The hood, roof, rear-seat partition, and a bumper reinforcement are also made from carbon fiber. Other lightweighting bits include a titanium muffler and tailpipes, carbon ceramic brake rotors from Brembo, and 19-inch forged wheels from BBS. It all adds up to a 176-pound weight loss compared to the current RC F. Although the engine is unchanged from other 2020 RC F models, the weight reduction drops the 0-60 time down to 3.96 seconds. We don't yet have pricing for the 2020 RC F or the upgraded Track Edition, but Lexus says production will begin in the second quarter of 2019. Check out both versions of the 2020 RC F in our high-res image galleries above. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
