One owner, fully loaded, perfect first car, under factory warranty, very clean interior and well maintained. Great gas mileage, 80% highway miles. Finally having to let go of my 2008 Lexus IS250, 6-Speed Manual, RWD sedan. The car is Obsidian black with a cashmere interior. Car is in great condition, always taken care of, full synthetic oil changes every 3-4k miles, 15/30/60k maintenances, brakes, engine checks, new tires, etc. The car currently has almost 62k miles with the extended 100k Lexus Warranty. I added some slight modifications to the car as well. It has the Lexus F-sport exhaust system, intake, lowering springs and short shift kit which are all under Lexus warranty. Some other modifications are the Lexus ground effects lip kit, black powdercoated 17" stock wheels, Obsidian black painted grill, headlight housings and roof spoiler. Interior Lexus trim swap from dark wood to graphite and sport pedals. The lighting on the interior is full LED, the headlights are 6000k xenon D4S bulbs w/ 3000k halogen fogs. AAC 6000k angel eyes were also installed in the headlights. Aside from going on about the modifications of the car, it has all of the options possible. Perforated leather is extremely comfortable, heated/cooled seats, Mark Levinson sound and DVD system, bluetooth, voice activated navigation, backup camera, adaptive front lighting, sunroof, keyless entry, push start etc. Please message me with any questions. Looking to sell as soon as possible. The car will run forever and it's one of a kind. I have had great compliments throughout my ownership of the car about how clean and sleek it is, perfectly modified and the luxury of Lexus! The car is priced at $22.9k OBO with everything included, over $6k in modifications alone. Upon contact I have a full list of modifications ready, CARFAX in hand, and my main mechanic for any questions. New brake rotors/pads were just done last week along with an oil change. Car was fully detailed this week and looks brand new!! KBB car value was used and the $6k in modifications are yours free!!

Ford, Toyota clean up in Best Car For The Money Awards

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

The U.S. News Best Cars for the Money Awards picks winners by looking at the average transaction price, five-year total cost of ownership, the regard a car has from the automotive press, reliability figures from J.D. Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The result, according to the magazine, is "the best combination of critical acclaim and long-term value."
Ford nabbed six of the 21 categories that received awards this year, the Focus, Fusion, Fusion Hybrid, Taurus, Escape and Edge getting trophies. Toyota and its Lexus and Scion sub-brands took another five, the Tacoma and Tundra owning the two categories given to pickup trucks. The other ten awards were split between Honda with three, Buick with two, and one each for Subaru, BMW, Hyundai, Chevrolet and Mazda.

Buyers resent low inventories, prices over MSRP, study says

Tue, Nov 15 2022

Vehicle inventory low, vehicle transaction prices high, customers fretting … welcome, J.D. Power, to the era of supply and demand. In a recently published survey from one of the auto industryÂ’s top analytical firms, findings show that customers' satisfaction with vehicle purchases in the United States this year has dipped for the first time in 10 years. The 2022 U.S. Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study found that overall sales satisfaction has dropped to 786 (on a 1,000-point scale) from 789 in 2021. In that year, higher than expected trade-in values softened the effect of new vehicle price increases. But in 2022, on top of trade-in prices shrinking, many dealers elected to charge more than the ManufacturerÂ’s Suggested Retail Price, a factor that did not sit well with buyers. “When dealers charge more than MSRP, particularly with long-term loyal customers, they risk a potential long-term negative effect on customer advocacy and service business," said Chris Sutton, vice president of automotive retail at J.D. Power. Satisfaction among buyers who paid more than sticker price is 757, while satisfaction among those who paid the sticker price or less is 850, the Power report said. The lack of dealership inventory was also a customer irritant, J.D. Power found, a point that automakers and their dealers may want to consider. Many have maintained, or considered maintaining, a smaller inventory in the wake of the pandemic, keeping costs down and driving more customers toward factory orders. Regarding those consumers shopping for electric vehicles, the survey said that more than a third of them “failed to get instruction on EV charging before they left the dealership, which notably affects satisfaction.” Said Sutton, “Salespeople donÂ’t need to show gas-powered vehicle buyers how to fill their tank, but they do need to show EV buyers how to charge their vehicle.” There are positives to the Power conclusions, however, especially for Alfa Romeo dealers. The Italian brand ranked highest in customer satisfaction among premium brands with a score of 833, with Porsche a very close second (831) and Lexus (819) third. Alfa is on something of a roll these days, with its compact Tonale crossover due for release in the spring, and a new sports car in the works. Meanwhile, in PowerÂ’s “mainstream brand”” segment, Buick ranked first with a score of 825, followed by Dodge (816) and Subaru (804), all performing higher than the industry average.

Final Lexus IS F rolls off assembly line in Japan, bound for US

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

We knew this day would come, but it's nonetheless a bit of a sad one for Lexus enthusiasts as the very last example of the IS F has rolled off the assembly line in Tahara, Japan. Decked out in its trademark bright blue, the final IS F is destined for a customer right here in the United States.
Far from just another now-defunct model in an endless succession, the IS F marked the first time that Lexus did a proper performance model, debuting in production guise at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show alongside the LFA concept long before the latter entered production and took the idea of the high-performance Lexus even further. The IS F may not have sold in huge numbers, but it definitely marked a milestone for Toyota's luxury division.
Don't cry too much, however, as the new RC F that effectively takes its place packs an even mightier punch. While both are powered by essentially the same 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to an eight-speed automatic driving the rear wheels, the outgoing sedan's 416 horsepower and 371 pound-feet of torque is easily outgunned by the new coupe's 450 hp and 383 lb-ft.
