it's complemented with a Downhill Assist Control (DAC), Hill-start Assist

History
Prior to my purchase, the vehicle was
in an accident where it sustained damage to the front left corner of the car
and three of the airbags were deployed. Insurance reported the accident as a
total loss and a salvage title was issued. The car was since rebuilt and a
rebuilt title was issued upon my purchase almost 3 years ago. It should be noted that the three airbags were not
replaced and estimates to replace the airbags range from $3,000-$4,000 (front
seat-mounted side airbag on the driver’s side as well as the side curtain
airbags on the driver’s and passenger side). During my care, there was a minor
accident where a driver accelerated before she was supposed to while waiting at a red light.
Minimal damage to the bumper occurred which was repaired. The vehicle has
been well cared for during my three years of ownership with all the required
maintenance. There is a small scratch above the back right tire and the front left fog light cover has a small break (see pictures). All-in-all, the GX has barely noticeable
scratches and paint chips consistent with normal use and age of the vehicle. When you see the
vehicle, you will be amazed at its condition as you would never know it is a
2007. Vehicle runs and shifts smoothly with no mechanical issues. The vehicle
is very comfortable and provides a quiet ride. Car has no
odors (i.e. non-smoker, no pets). Payments
and Shipping
You only pay the agreed upon price for
the vehicle, no additional charges or fees. Successful bidder will deposit
$500.00 through eBay within 48hours (non-refundable if you don't complete the
transaction). The remaining balance is payable within 7days. If you will need
extra time to complete transaction, you can email me through eBay. Bidders with
zero or excessive negative feedback on eBay need to contact me first before
bidding. Final payment of the purchase
price must be made before title is transferred and you can take possession of
the vehicle, no exceptions. Unfortunately, due to the high rate
of scams, I will only accept bank wire transfers. Your payment must clear with
the bank before you can take possession of the vehicle. Note: If financing is
required, most banks will only allow for loans such as a personal loan and will
not issue an auto loan due to the vehicle having a rebuilt title. If you
are obtaining financing from a bank, I will assist as necessary with any
required documentation (you will still need to pay the deposit fee of $500 to
hold the vehicle). Vehicle is being sold on
As-is-Where-is basis, no warranty or representations expressed or implied.
Buyer is responsible for picking up vehicle, registering it in their respective
state and paying any applicable sales taxes. Vehicle is conveniently located 6
miles from the Tampa International Airport. You are welcome to perform a
pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle at your own expense. If you have any
questions regarding this vehicle, please email me. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time if the vehicle is no longer available/ sold. |

Why Lexus shies away from plug-in hybrids
Mon, Apr 20 2015Lexus may have softened its stance a bit from the anti plug-in vehicle ads the Toyota luxury badge ran last year, but at least one executive from the company casts a pretty critical eye towards the concept as a way to cut both emissions and refueling costs. In fact, Lexus doesn't really buy the fact that buyers of plug-in hybrids are really looking to save both gas and the environment, Green Car Reports says, citing an interview at the recent New York Auto Show with Lexus executive Mark Templin. Templin also said hydrogen fuel-cell technology may be a better way to edge towards zero emissions. Templin decried plug-in hybrid technology because it adds weight to vehicles, which contributes to poor emissions figures in the process. He added that plug-in vehicle buyers are motivated more by potential tax credits and solo driving rights in high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes than cutting back on fuel use. Last summer, Lexus ran an supposedly tongue-in-cheek print ad poking fun at how long it takes to charge a plug-in vehicle and how using air conditioning can shorten a car's charging range. Last spring, Lexus had to backpedal from an anti-electric ad it ran that had serious mistakes about hydrogen infrastructure. News Source: Green Car Reports Green Lexus Toyota Hybrid PHEV
Toyota projecting record profits, thanks in part to weak yen
Fri, Feb 6 2015Toyota retained its global sales crown in 2014 by selling 10.23 million cars in the calendar year. As the positive number might suggest, the Japanese automaker is doing extremely well financially, too. Although, some tougher times might be on the horizon. Toyota recently released its financial figures for the three fiscal quarters running from April 1 through the end of December 2014. Net profit jumped an impressive 13.2 percent to 1.727 trillion yen ($14.7 billion) for that period. It could be the Japanese automaker's most profitable time ever when the fiscal year ends in March, if things keep going this way, according to The New York Times. Toyota's own profit forecast for the 12-month period is also up by 130 billion yen ($1.1 billion) to 2.13 trillion yen ($18.1 billion). One key to the company's success is the low value of the Japanese yen, because it allows Toyota to make more money on each vehicle the company sells abroad. The currency is now worth relatively less than any time since the early '70s, according to The New York Times. Despite the rosy financial numbers, actual sales have started to fall, albeit a very slight amount. Through the three fiscal quarters, the company sold 6.73 million cars, a drop of just 45,365 vehicles. Toyota also reduced its forecast for the fiscal year to 9 million units, rather than the original estimate of 9.05 million. According to The New York Times, the shrinking Japanese auto market and difficulty in China might mean losing the global sales lead next year. For the US, sales jumped 145,411 units from April through December to a total 2.1 million vehicles. Operating income reached $4.27 billion, nearly 50 percent more than last year, according to The New York Times. Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Announces April – December 2014 Financial Results February 04, 2015 Toyota's global net income jumped 13.2 percent during the nine-month period (April 1– December 31, 2014) of the 2015 fiscal year. Global Financial Highlights: Global sales decreased by 45,365 vehicles to 6.73 million, with strong sales in North America and gains in Europe, offsetting decreases in Japan and other regions.
Lexus NX begins production in Japan [w/videos]
Fri, 15 Aug 2014Lexus entered new territory this past April when it revealed the new NX compact luxury crossover at the Beijing Motor Show, but it wasn't until now that the Toyota luxury division actually started building them. The first production examples started rolling off the assembly line last week at the Miyata plant in Japan, with the accompanying turbo engines built at the adjacent Kanda plant.
The arrival of the NX marks both the first time that Lexus has produced a compact crossover - an increasingly important segment for luxury automakers - and the first time Lexus has offered a turbocharged engine, one of two options alongside the hybrid version. The NX builds on two previous competences exhibited by Toyota: one is the RAV4, which pioneered the compact crossover segment back in 1994, the other being the Lexus RX that was among the first luxury crossovers when it arrived in '97.
Lexus reports that it has already taken some 6,500 pre-orders in Japan alone, with many more coming in from markets around the world - including ours, where it is sure to be a key player for the Japanese automaker alongside the hot-selling RX. Watch the videos below to see the NX starting its production run in Japan.
