Vehicle was repainted before I bought it (w original owner, I'm just the 2nd owner) car has a ding/hole in the rear bumper from when I was parked and returned to find damage, don't know what hit it but damage is merely cosmetic.the front bumper has 8-10 small drill holes where I had the aftermarket front spoiler screwed in as well as 3m taped... The front spoiler was damaged and I sold it. Interior has a patch of leather on the drivers that was repaired from the dealership I bought the car from before I bought it, it's about a quarter shape in size. Other than a couple of other scratches and wear and tear to be expected from a 7 year old car the car is in good shape."

Selling my baby my 2006 lexus gs430. Car has 148,xxx miles please don't let the miles scare you I'm just the second owner and the car has always/only been serviced at the Lexus dealer. I have over 24 pages of service history from the Lexus dealer, some things which have been replaced are: timing belt and water pump, catalytic converter, alternator, rack and pinion, etc... The car is up to date on maintainance. My car is rare not only because its black on Black (very hard to find this color combo) but also because its loaded wEVERY option from the factory (park assist, adaptive cruise control, heated/cooled seats, mark levinson sound, navi, back up cam, etc) I have added some tasteful modifications which include: jic magic coilovers, jlw3 subwoofer/custom enclosure and amp, vaistech iPod upgrade and DVD override, led lights thought the car (in and out) tanabe mt exhaust, rear lip kit, 20" staggered vertini rims and Hankook tires 245/30 front and 275/30 rears.. I bought these brand new about a month ago for almost $2,400!! The car runs and drives like a dream, very smooth. I have the Tpms light on the dash because I never purchased new sensors for the new rims. I also had a 4 wheel alignment done on the car so it drives straight and you don't have to worry about the tires wearing. I really do love my car and do not want to sell but I need  a truck. If you are seriously interested and have any questions or would like to make me an offer please call or text me @ 7272771652. Don't wait till the end of auction to buy because you could miss your chance at owning a great car. I have the car listed for sale locally so i reserve the right to end the auction early at anytime. Good luck and happy bidding!!

This Lexus LC Super Bowl ad is like a Sia music video with sweet wall dancing

Tue, Jan 24 2017

What you see above is the extended, 60-second version of Lexus's "Man & Machine" Super Bowl commercial. The car/machine half is obviously the new 2017 Lexus LC 500 coupe, and the man in question is Lil Buck, a so-called movement artist (we think that's like a dancer). Both are moving to Sia singing "Move Your Body" from her latest album, "This Is Acting." So yeah, it's basically a music video with a car featuring prominently in it, which is fine by us. (In fact, it was directed by Jonas Akerlund, who specializes in the genre.) We see the machine and the man on split screen, and then the voiceover attempts to tie it all together: "Machines don't have emotions, but the rare few can inspire them." And then Lil Buck seems to defy gravity by slithering into the car while the door closes. The coolest part is how he dances on the walls around the Lexus. Revolving sets with fixed cameras are neat, especially with a car stuck in the middle. The spot closes with Lexus's new tagline, Experience Amazing. Like most corporate mottos, it says almost nothing about the brand. But hey, the commercial is fun to watch, and we happen to like the new LC, so they're doing something right. A 30-second version of the spot will air during the big game. Related Video:

Lexus RX successor headed for NY Show

Sun, Jan 18 2015

The redesign of the popular Lexus RX crossover will finally make its official debut in April, at the 2015 New York Auto Show with an on-sale date slated for later in 2015, Edmunds is reporting. This will be an important job for Lexus, as its next-gen midsize luxury crossover will need to measure up to a segment that is very different than the one the current RX debuted in, way back in 2008. Cars like the BMW X3, Audi Q5 and Mercedes-Benz GLK are now supported on the lower end by more compact models. Lexus is no different; the RX has been joined by the entry level NX, allowing the Japanese luxury marque to do a bit more for the fourth-gen CUV. That means New York will herald a larger and pricier crossover, Edmunds claims, even boasting a third row. That fits with our previous round of spy photos. Despite the baby NX's hardcore, knife-edge styling, it's expected that the next RX will be a more evolutionary version of the current model's conservative looks. Still, as our previous spy photos show, there will be some Lexus styling trademarks, including a revised version of the current crossover's spindle grille. Keep your eyes open come April, as we can expect the full details on the 2016 Lexus RX.

2013 Lexus IS F

Mon, 25 Mar 2013

Sometimes fortune really smiles on even shiftless car-reviewing Dutchmen like myself, I must admit. I had come into Austin, TX the week before I was supposed to meet up with the good people at Lexus, who had graciously invited me to drive the 2014 IS. I flew in early because Austin is a pretty good place to eat, as well as being a place that my wife doesn't live. Let me say that a nicer way... while my stunningly attractive wife pretty much represents all things good and light in this world, she does occasionally shoot me a sideways glance when I dig in for my fifth Tacodeli breakfast taco. Thankfully, I leave most of my good sense and information about the effects of high-calorie diets on lifespan at home with Molly when I come to Texas, so I can better focus my laser-like attention on car reviews and TexMex. You guys are worth it.
Aside from all the tacos, I was also lucky to be visiting town the weekend before South By Southwest really kicked off in earnest, because it was that Sunday that my good old buddy John, and my new old buddy Pat, were headed up to the Circuit of the Americas to see the first ever SCCA Majors event there. It was lucky that I had planned to be out at CotA, which is east of Austin, because that made it very slightly easier for a very nice woman named Marcia to bring me a 2013 Lexus IS F from Houston, roughly 150 miles away.
Marcia brought me the IS F to replace another press car, which was having mechanical troubles; I didn't ask for the fire-breathing IS but when it was offered up I figured I couldn't do much better as a warm up for the 2014 IS program I was about to go on. See, lucky right?
