2003 Lexus Es300 on 2040-cars
Agawam, Massachusetts, United States
Loaded Lexus ES 300 with no reserve! This is a great value on a luxury car that has everything you want - navigation, sunroof, Mark Levinson sound system with cassette and CD player which includes 2 6-disc cartridges, auto lights, auto rain sensing wipers, auto dual climate control, driver and passenger power seats with memory, heated seats, power rear window shade, and great tires. The car has 163k miles, however the engine was replaced by Lexus at 45k due to a failed valve spring. Everything is in top shape and ready to drive! Recent service includes:
I bought this car as a commuter vehicle while living in Massachusetts since last year, and it's been a pleasure to drive. My only complaints about it are lack of iphone integration, and poor speaker quality. For iphone integration, I ended up buying a cassette adapter that plugs into the headphone jack of the iphone. There is a spare cigarette lighter in the armrest compartment which I have a two-port USB adapter plugged into for power. Regarding the speaker quality, do some research on these older Lexus models - the speaker cones tend to separate from the frame. They can be repaired with inexpensive kits ($10-$20), but it's not easy getting to the speakers - check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rW2VWq2LLHs. The sound system is still usable as is; only loud bass is noisy. Accessories included:
Moving to California, must sell by April 9! If you cannot arrange for cleared payment and pickup before then, please contact me before bidding. I will not transfer ownership of the car until after payment has cleared, so please factor this in. I have a clear Massachusetts title on the vehicle. |

MT digs deep, learns more about hot Lexus RC coupe
Mon, 12 Aug 2013As we patiently wait for the all-new Lexus RC to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November, Motor Trend has dug up some tasty info on the Japanese automaker's new coupe for us to discuss. While we already knew some speculative, but credible, details on the upcoming two-door Lexus, MT reportedly has the dish on some details of the hotter RC F coupe (shown in the spy shots above).
The article says that the F will carry a six-figure MSRP and use a 455-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 with cylinder deactivation, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Carbon fiber body components will help reduce curb weight, and the scooped hood is said to optimize aerodynamics as the car will reach a top speed of around 186 miles per hour. Specific high-speed handling improvements include specially developed Brembo brakes, a beefed-up suspension, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires and an automatic decklid spoiler.
As for other RC models, MT mentions the hybrid and V6 variants we already heard about, but it also says that the car could get a 2.0-liter turbo engine. This will probably be the engine used in the base model, which is expected to start at around $40,000. Head on over to Motor Trend for the full article, including a rendered image of the RC F.
2015 Lexus NX starts at $34,480*
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Lexus has announced pricing for the 2015 NX crossover lineup, which goes on sale next month.
The NX 200t starts at $34,480, and the all-wheel-drive model adds a $1,400 premium to lift the sticker to $35,880 (*destination charges of $925 are not included in the prices). The 200t uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 235 horsepower, and it's Lexus' first-ever gasoline-fed turbo.
The hybrid version, the 300h, starts at $39,720, and all-wheel drive tacks on $1,590 for a price of $41,310. The hybrid teams a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor to generate 194 hp. Though power dips, Lexus anticipates this version will get a combined 33 miles per gallon with front-wheel drive when the EPA ratings are announced - a considerable leap when compared with the combined 24-mpg estimate for the turbo model.
