2003 Lexus Es300-1-owner-fla-kept-'lil Old Lady Owned-lowest Mileage In The Usa! on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
Welcome to a great opportunity. Have you ever heard of that 1-owner, very low mileage, Florida-kept automobile that was owned and driven by a little old lady, probably only to and from church on Sunday? Well, we're not sure about the religious nature of her trips, but this is that car! Simply put, this 2003 Lexus ES300 runs and drives like new. It was purchased at JM Lexus of Coconut Creek, FL (a suburb of Fort Lauderdale) and was serviced by the professionals at the Lexus dealership. No squeaks, rattles, noises, or smells, just an ultra-luxurious and ultra-smooth ride that only a Lexus can provide. There is a reason that Lexus is considered by many automotive experts as the best riding luxury brand of any of the premium automobile makers in the world. And with only 45,000 original, sunny South Florida miles, this ES300 is just getting broken in. It is not uncommon to see this extremely durable engine and transmission combination reach 200,000 miles + of trouble-free performance. It has recently had its 50,000 mile service performed and has a fresh oil change, new air filter and wipers, and interior cabin filters as well as cooling system service and flush. The air conditioning is ice cold, and for those of you in non-tropical climates, the heater works great. The rich, elegant leather and wood trimmed interior is in outstanding condition, and it certainly shows! Grandma didn't have any dogs or pets in the car, and she certainly didn't smoke cigarettes. The dark cherry accents really showcase the ultra-luxurious Ivory leather very nicely, and the rear seats do not even appear to have ever been used. It is clean and fresh. Neither the ashtray, nor the cigarette lighter have ever been used. This one-owner Lexus was owned by a senior, and she did her best to have it regularly serviced and cleaned. We are selling this low mileage Lexus in exactly the condition that we took it in. All we had our detailer do is clean it. It runs and drives phenomenal, and the interior is extra-clean. The exterior presents a wonderful and beautiful finish. Being a Florida vehicle has HUGE benefits--(i.e. no harsh weather, no harsh roads, no hills or potholes and certainly no snow or salt). On this Lexus, you can literally eat off of the undercarriage, as well as the engine compartment. Both are as close to new as you can find. You will not see that on a Northern, or Midwest vehicle. And then once the corrosion sets in on a vehicle from other parts of the country, things will begin to rust. Things that you can see, and unfortunately, things that you cannot see. Not the case here. This car is as clean as a whistle! So the finish is brilliant and the color is outstanding. Lexus calls it Black Garnet Pearl. It is a three-stage paint from the factory and was a $995 option from the dealer. Not your typical plain-Jane, boring White, Silver or Beige color. It looks great, and during the day, the sunlight really makes this elegant color dance. Of course, no dents, dings or unsightly parking lot mishaps. None of that, Grandma wouldn't stand for it. The factory aluminum alloy wheels have a complete set of premium Michelin All-season performance touring radials all the way around. They have normal wear on them (conservatively 50% treadlife remaining), to safely grip the road...in any driving condition. Wet, Dry...and even Snow! Michelin's are great tires, and we left them on, but can replace them with a complete set of Brand New premium touring radials for $400 (our wholesale cost) at the winning bidder's request. The rims look like new as well, with no curb rash or chips that you sometimes see. There was no skimping of the service on this Lexus at all by the previous gal! This Lexus is fully loaded. It has complete power options as well as dual power front seats, factory power glass moonroof, express touch windows, Premium Audio System with 6-disc CD changer and 8 surround sound speakers, factory security system, solar ray factory tinted glass, independent electronic climate control and so much more. Everything works perfectly and properly, just as you would expect from a low mileage, well-maintained automobile. This car is a creampuff! The latest July 2014 NADA Used Car Guide shows the retail value of this 2003 Lexus ES300 to be over $12,482 and certainly much more at your friendly neighborhood Lexus dealership or local high-image Import Auto Boutique. Clean Trade-in value is $10,587.... This is a unique color and has a one-owner and Florida-kept pedigree. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions that you may have. I am including all the original books, manuals and supplements that came with this car when new. This ES300 drives and runs outstanding, it gets excellent fuel economy and is very roomy. Plenty of room in the trunk for golf clubs or multiple suitcases, and the interior provides comfortable seating for 5 adults. This is a sensational car to take on a long road trip. With only 44,971 original miles, this Lexus was used sparingly. That's less than 4,000 miles per year folks! And again, very easy miles by an older owner, and pleasant Florida roads. It has both Crystal Clean CarFax and AutoCheck Vehicle History Reports with absolutely no title problems, or accident history of any kind. AutoCheck rates all the 2002-2004 Lexus ES's for sale in the nation with scores of 60 to 82. Ours scored an Ultra-impressive 91! How's that for peace of mind! Don't make the mistake of missing out on this rare find. We are running this auction for 7 days with No Reserve. One lucky and savvy bidder will be getting a great vehicle. This vehicle runs and drives like new. It is extra, extra clean inside and out. Only one minor scratch on the right rear bumper. (Can be professionally touched-up for $75 to make it unnoticeable, again at the winning bidder's request). It has an attractive rear spoiler that really adds to the sensational appearance of this luxurious ES330 (and was a $440 option at the Lexus dealer), and placed on most of the models that were displayed on the Showroom floor (as this one was). Please call or e-mail Steve at 561.283.9511 with any questions or if you would like to make an appointment to see the car. We offer transport assistance within the Continental US, and of course, free airport pick-up is available from Jacksonville International Airport. I am also including all the original books, manuals and supplements that came with this ES330 when new, as well as the complete set of Lexus carpeted floor mats (in great condition as well). This is a rare find. Good Luck to everyone bidding on this classy, low mileage Lexus ES300. Bid with confidence and Bid to win! |

Drifting on a frozen lake with a studded Lexus looks like fun
Fri, 15 Feb 2013Sometimes you come across a list of ingredients and you don't even need to know what's being made, you just know you need to be there when it's done. So if you saw a recipe for a Vimeo video that was one snow-covered frozen lake, one Lexus IS, four studded tires, two ice fisherman and one guy lounging on a couch, do you think you'd have any questions?
We didn't. The dish was cooked up by the Wide Open Drift Team and KSP Productions, and it's exactly what you'd think it is. Right down to the guy on the couch. We're glad we got to partake, and you can too in the video below.
2016 Lexus RC 200t Quick Spin
Fri, Dec 18 2015Cars like the BMW 4 Series, Cadillac ATS coupe, and Audi A5 exist not as volume cars, but as aspirational products designed to draw in the young and the young at heart. The humble four-cylinder turbo, offered in each car listed above, provides an accessible point of entry for lifestyle buyers that want the statement of a sporty coupe without the eagerness, fuel inefficiency, or cost of a big six-cylinder engine. Now, Lexus is throwing its hat in the ring with a turbocharged version of its polarizing RC coupe. We took the new RC 200t out for a day on the winding roads of the Pines to Palms Highway near Palm Springs, CA, and found that while Lexus' new engine will draw new customers, they probably won't like what they find. Driving Notes The RC joins the IS, GS, and NX as members of Lexus' four-cylinder turbo clan. There's 241 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque on offer here, numbers that compare favorably with the BMW 428i (240 hp and 260 lb-ft) and Audi A5 (220 hp and 258 lb-ft). None of that matters, though, because the turbocharged RC is easily the slowest car in its class. You'll struggle to keep pace with stuff like the Hyundai Veloster Turbo. The RC 200t somehow takes 7.3 seconds to get to 60 miles per hour. That's a second slower than the A5, and over half a second slower than the 4 Series or Cadillac ATS. You can't drive a car that looks as wild as this and take that long to get to 60. Blame it on the RC's 3,737-pound weight. Lexus only saved 11 pounds by switching out a 3.5-liter V6 for the 2.0-liter turbo. The BMW and Cadillac both weigh well under 3,500 pounds. Even the RC's four-door fraternal twin, the IS 200t, is 150 pounds lighter (and only takes 6.9 seconds to get to 60). The RC needs a diet, plain and simple. If Lexus truly wants to compete against the Germans and Cadillac, a snappier transmission is in order. Like the GS we talked about yesterday, the Aisin eight-speed is fine on upshifts – it's still not as fast as the 4 Series' ZF eight-speed auto – but it suffers when it's time to change down. Around town, it's less of a problem, but on the twisty mountain roads outside of Palm Springs and on the freeways, the RC's gearbox kept tripping over itself. We'd love to see what the 2.0-liter turbo engine could do in a lighter car, because it's a real charmer. The broad 1,650-to-4,400-rpm torque peak gives drivers a lot of space to play, although the RC does feel flat-footed as you crest 5,000 rpm.
2017 LC 500 is the future of Lexus [w/video]
Mon, Jan 11 2016The 2017 LC 500 shows where Lexus is headed. In this case it's not just a flashy grille and a big engine like earlier Lexus efforts. This time every facet of the engineering went into making the car handle better, and the styling and engineering were developed hand in hand. It won't set any sales records, but it will win a lot of eyeballs. Why is Lexus making another coupe? That's a fair question, as slow-selling two doors don't do much to improve market share. The reason for the LC is to make a statement, both in terms of style and engineering. It looks remarkably close to the 2012 LF-LC concept. And underpinning the taut styling is a new global architecture that will underpin future cars like the LS. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. The LC 500 is Toyota's way of saying, yet again, that it's serious about reforming the Lexus reputation into one that include performance and style. On paper the 467-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8 (the same as in the RC F and GS F) performance claim looks like sloppy handwriting, but Lexus claims a 0-60 time of less than 4.5 seconds. Rumors abound that more power will come to the LC lineup in a few years, most likely in some kind of turbocharged form. Backing up the engine is a ten-speed transmission. Yes, ten. Lexus claims the gearbox is nearly as fast as a dual-clutch automatic, and that the overall size is smaller than some eight speed 'boxes. Underpinning the LC is an all new structure that includes carbon fiber reinforced plastic, aluminum, and high-strength steel. Torsional rigidity is said to be better than the all-carbon fiber LF A supercar. We're worried the ride could be on the stiff side, with run flat tires on both standard 20-inch wheel and the optional 21-inch wheels seen on the show car. All hope for retaining a pleasant ride lies with the suspension, which is nearly all aluminum. But as we mentioned, this car is skewed towards performance, and Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on show car promised new levels of lateral grip for a big Lexus. What's more promising is the claim that Lexus spend triple the standard time developing the steering feel and handling. This could be the best-handling Lexus ever, but don't expect the LC 500 to be a Porsche 911 competitor. Preconceptions aside, the LC is bigger than a Carrera and that alone dictates a different character. The Lexus is closer to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe and BMW 6 Series in size.
