2004 Ford F-150 Heritage XL Extended Cab Pickup 4-Door 4.2L
with A.R.E. contractors cap. Truck is being sold As-is, no warranty. Exterior: This truck was used for construction work, so it has the usual scratches and dings you would expect. Rear bumper is pushed in on the RH side (see pic). Bed has rusted area above wheel wells and at lower front on passenger side (also shown in pics). Cab and doors are still in very good condition, all the glass is good. All the doors work on the contractors cap. the rear cap glass needs new struts to hold it in the open position. Interior: Is in overall good condition. Driver seat has tear (see pics). Center console lid is broken. Passenger and rear seats are in good condition, with NO tears. Mechanical: Engine and transmission work as they should. Front brakes have just been replaced. Air conditioning works well as do the power windows and locks. The pinion seal on the rear axle is leaking and also there is some noise coming from the pinion bearings when you accelerate. The local Ford dealership recommended replace seal and pinion bearings, I can have these items replaced for a very reasonable price after the auction if the winning bidder wants. However the trucks goes down the road just fine the way it is. Tires have approx 50% tread remaining. Payment:--------$500 Paypal payment required within 48 hours of auction close. Lexus Eco Challenge rewards schools for clean water, briquette press projects
Fri, Feb 28 2014Teams from one New Jersey high school and one Michigan middle school reversed the old adage by thinking locally and acting globally. And that strategy won them the grand prizes in the most recent edition of the Lexus Eco Challenge. The future is indeed bright. The Toyota luxury-vehicle division gave out a half-million dollars in this year's contest. One $30,000 grand prize was awarded to the Pinelands Eco Scienteers from Little Egg Harbor, NJ, which produced and distributed low-cost briquette presses to rural villages beset by deforestation. The other grand prize went to the E.T. Electrical Team from Byron Center West Middle School in Michigan. That middle-school group raised money to send water filters to Haiti, Kenya and the Philippines. Lexus also awarded eight $15,000 first-place awards, with the winners including high schools from California, Florida, Missouri and Pennsylvania as well as middle schools from Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina and Texas. A special shout out goes to Daniel Boone Area High School in Birdsboro, PA, where students created an educational and public-relations campaign to publicize algae-based biofuels. In all, Lexus has doled out more than $4 million in Eco Challenge awards in seven years. Check out Lexus's press release below. Lexus RC F GT3 Racing Concept threatens to go racing
Fri, 28 Feb 2014In case you needed more proof that the Lexus RC F is a statement car intended to scream "This is not your father's brand" (yes, we're paraphrasing the tagline of another automaker), here it is: the Lexus RC F GT3 Racing Concept. Lexus introduced a GT500-spec version of the RC F at the Tokyo Auto Salon last month, but this GT3-spec entrant and its Reading Rainbow paint job will get to show off at the Geneva Motor Show to whet the appetites of European racing outfits.
Although referred to as a concept, it will shake that name off when it completes a season of testing this year. Next year, Lexus will make it available to paying customers, and says the car will be cleared to race in the Occident and in Japan's Super GT series alongside its GT500 cousin.
2015 Lexus RC 350 F Sport snarls in Switzerland with darkened demeanor
Tue, 04 Mar 2014Lexus is finally ready to return to the coupe market with the new RC, and while we already saw it in Detroit, it brought the new RC 350 F Sport version for the Geneva Motor Show.
The car packs 306 horsepower and 277 pound-feet from its 3.5-liter V6 and is meant to sit between the standard RC 350 Sport Coupe and the full bore RC F.
Most obvious when you glimpse the coupe is the more aggressive spindle grille with a new mesh treatment and dark, 19-inch F Sport wheels. The interior also receives a host of upgrades with Rioja Red leather and Silver Performance trim, plus perforated leather trim on the steering wheel and shift knob. There is a bit of LFA inspiration as well with the F Sport getting its moving center ring instrument display. It is not all about better style though because the coupe also gets adaptive dampers and an optional four-wheel steering system.
