My wife and I are selling our home and both cars(This being one of them). My other is a Chevrolet Volt listed on Ebay. The Volt is our everyday runaround vehicle and I purchased this Range Rover one year ago from a lady doctor in San Diego who  bought it new. It has been driven 20,000 miles in the last year for road trips to Florida and California. I ran a vehicle report at that time and found no repairs except for a new radiator replaced by warranty at about 40,000 miles. I have added new running boards to aid in entry and exit...a great improvement but easily removed with only a few bolts if you prefer not to have them.

Weather you buy my vehicle or not..be sure you get one with the deluxe  upgraded leather seats. You can easily spot them in photos (as the door armrests are stitched along the edge and there is one extra seat button located just above the seat back recliner lever (see my photos). The extra button raises and lowers the headrest electrically and also adjusts just the upper portion of the seat back to fit you perfectly. the other obvious difference you will find is that the leather looks like new compared to the standard leather seats that you get without this option.

I have done a recent engine oil and filter change and had the transmission serviced (flush old oil and replace new oil, filter & pan gasket). I replaced the  backup camera as the old one was getting weak.  I also had all  brakes relined and the brake fluid flushed and filled  with new fluid 10,000 miles ago. The tires are 20" Yokohama and appear to have 70% tread remaining. They run smooth at all speeds.

The best description I can give you is that "EVERYTHING WORKS AND NOTHING LEAKS".  The vehicle turns heads everywhere I take it. The cost new was nearly $80,000 and for all  purposes it appears to be nearly new now. No disappointments with this one.

Feel free to fly in and drive it home.  Any questions feel free to call me on my cell phone at 405-532-0659.

The 10 car brands most expensive to maintain over 10 years

Mon, Apr 22 2024

Car maintenance has got to be one of the least fun things you can do with your free time, right behind going to the dentist and filing your taxes. However, depending on the brand you buy, your time spent at the shop could be much more than you bargained for. Consumer Reports’ new study on the most- and least-expensive-to-maintain car brands found that European car companies are most likely to break your wallet with costs nearly five times that of the automakers at the other end of the spectrum. Land Rover had the highest ten-year maintenance costs, at an average of $19,250. Porsche was second worst with $14,090 in costs. 10 car brands most expensive to maintain over 10 years: Land Rover: $19,250 Porsche: $14,090 Mercedes-Benz: $10,525 Audi: $9,890 BMW: $9,500 Volvo: $9,285 Infiniti: $8,500 Acura: $7,800 Mini: $7,625 Subaru: $7,200 The Euro brands at the “top” of this list arenÂ’t all that surprising. Land Rover has consistently landed as one of the most expensive vehicle brands to maintain for years now, though Porsche is generally viewed as being one of the more solid performance brands. That could suggest that some models donÂ’t always require more repairs, but the fixes they do need are significantly more expensive. Tesla, Buick, and Toyota were the three cheapest to maintain car brands, with 10-year maintenance costs of $4,035, $4,900, and $4,900, respectively. Consumer Reports noted that these numbers could be slightly skewed due to the fact that some automakers offer free maintenance for the first few years of ownership, and all companies cover their new vehicles for at least a few years after the purchase. Routine maintenance is a great way to avoid costly repairs over time, as itÂ’s much cheaper to catch a problem before it starts causing other issues. Check your oil, rotate your tires, and avoid driving like a wild person, and youÂ’ll likely fare much better than others, even if you own one of the scarier-to-maintain brands.

Jaguar Land Rover to cut $6.8 billion in costs

Tue, Nov 10 2015

Jaguar Land Rover reduce costs by $6.8 billion and will push annual production volume to 1 million vehicles under a secret project called Leap 4.5, according to Reuters. The British automaker wants to achieve these ambitious goals by the end of the decade to compensate for the changing market in China and to counteract the price of meeting stricter emissions standards around the world. Leap 4.5 won't mean firing workers or cutting the automaker's $4.5 billion annual research budget. JLR will instead find savings by underpinning more models with modular platforms and by adjusting its supply chain. Future factories like the one in Brazil and the proposed plant in Slovakia also won't be affected by the new strategy. Globally, JLR continues to grow, and deliveries are up two percent through October 2015 to 390,965 vehicles. Business just last month was up 24 percent year-over-year to 41,553 units. However, the auto market's downturn in China has taken a bite out the automaker's success because volume dropped there 32 percent in the third quarter, Reuters reported. A global volume of 1 million vehicles will mean more than doubling 2014's 462,678 deliveries, but JLR has made significant investments to boost production recently. In addition to the future factories, it opened its first plant in China last year and an engine assembly site in the UK. The company also signed a deal with Magna Steyr in 2015 to build an upcoming model in Austria. Related Video:
