2003 Range Rover Hse, All Major Work Done, Books And Records, New Tires on 2040-cars
Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
For your consideration, on offer today is my 2003 Range Rover HSE. Finished in Beluga Black over Grey leather and showing just over 185,000 miles on the odometer, this Rover is in very good condition throughout and runs and drives very nicely with all appropriate maintenance having been carried out by Land Rover main dealers or specialists. Bought in 2006 as a CPO vehicle from LR Cincinnati and with all books and maintenance records available for the subsequent owner. All of the big work has been carried out, such as front diff recall, valley plate gasket, rear control arm bushes, fuel pump, valve cover gaskets, radiator, cooling hoses and expansion tank as well as regular oil changes every 5,000 miles with full synthetic oil. Most recently, four new Bridgestone tires were fitted approximately a month ago as well as new front upper control arms and ball joints. A Rovers North coil spring conversion has been done as well to forever cure annoying air suspension problems, but is easily reversible should the new owner wish to go back to EAS. The truck starts, runs, drives, shifts and stops well, and all of the electrical accessories are functioning properly with cold air conditioning, hot heat, fully functional keyless entry with two master keys, as well as the cold weather package which includes a heated front windscreen, heated seats and heated steering wheel. Mileage is nearly all highway with weekly runs between Cincinnati and Cleveland for business so there is very little cosmetic wear save for some sandblasting on the front bumper (which was refinished once after someone backed into it in a parking lot) and small dings and scratches commensurate with age and use of the truck. The paint presents well overall, as well as the interior. There are no odd smells inside and it has never been smoked in. The worst cosmetic blemish inside is the plastic trim has cracked around the outside edge of the base of the driver’s seat, which is a typical weak point on these trucks. None of the door armrests have that ‘melted’ look, as is so typical on these trucks, and the original spare, toolkit and jack are present and stowed underneath the rear cargo floor. I would trust this truck on a trip anywhere and with winter coming, now is the time to get something that’s fully capable of getting you around when the ice and snow hit. Only reason for sale is the purchase of a newer, supercharged RR. Please contact me directly with any questions you may have regarding anything which I have not addressed here. This is most certainly the least expensive L322 Range Rover on the market so don’t miss this great deal! A deposit in the amount of $500 is due no later than three days after auction end. Remainder of balance to be paid within seven days of auction end. All monies to be paid using certified check, fed wire transfer or cash on pickup. The vehicle and clear Ohio title will only be released to the new owner upon all balances due being settled in full. This vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied herein. If you wish to have the vehicle inspected prior to purchase, you are welcome to do so at your expense. I am happy to take it to any qualified Land Rover repair shop of your choice. I would only ask that you please give me a couple days’ notice so that I can make appropriate arrangements in my schedule. If you elect to ship the vehicle, I am happy to accommodate in any way I can and will either drop it off at a pickup depot or the carrier can come to my home and pick it up in person. Thanks for looking and good luck! |

Land Rover Defender V8 vs. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 | V8 4x4s square off on paper
Thu, Feb 25 2021Land Rover pulled the sheet off its 2022 Defender on Wednesday, introducing another high-performance V8 to the off-road segment. This time, it's a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 boasting 518 horsepower. It will be available in both the Defender 90 and 110 models. In the former, Land Rover says it can crack off a 0-60 run in just 4.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 149 mph. The long-wheelbase 110 will be a bit slower, but "slow" probably isn't the right adjective to use here at all. But Land Rover isn't the only automaker offering a high-performance variant of its off-road SUV. While Jeep may have been sneered at for presenting the 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 on the heels of the 2021 Ford Bronco's introduction, it starts to make a lot more sense in this context. There's reportedly a high-output Bronco on the way, too, so call Jeep the dinosaur of the group all you want, but you can't put a price on being first. Well, you can, actually, but that's not the point. Thankfully, both Land Rover and Jeep have provided enough specs for us to rough out a comparison chart. Since the Rubicon 392 is offered only in four-door guise, we're looking at the long-wheelbase Defender 110 as its direct competitor here. Have a look: There are a few caveats to mention off the top. For starters, we don't have an official curb weight for the V8-powered Defender yet, as Land Rover has not finalized its U.S. specs. We used the European figures (as provided by a spokesperson), which we expect to be accurate within about 50 pounds. The 0-60 time provided by Land Rover was for the Defender 90, which is smaller and somewhat lighter than the 110. When equipped with the inline-6, the Defender 110 is about a tenth of a second slower to 60 than the Defender 90, so we figure it should be roughly the same for the V8. While the Defender has nearly 50 horsepower on the Wrangler, that advantage disappears thanks to the Land Rover V8's monster weight penalty, which will fall somewhere between 600 and 700 pounds depending on equipment. Yikes. On the flip side, however, the Land Rover has the edge in top speed, and it's not even close. Chalk that up to the tires, we suspect. We know for a fact that the Rubicon 392's all-terrains dictate its speed limiter; Jeep's own engineers told us as much. This could make for a (hypothetically) interesting drag race, as the Jeep's advantage off the line may evaporate once triple digits come into play.
Jaguar Land Rover opens new $1.6 billion factory in Slovakia
Thu, Oct 25 2018BRATISLAVA, Slovakia — Jaguar Land Rover is opening a new, $1.6 billion plant in Slovakia, the luxury car maker's first in continental Europe. The U.K.-based company, owned by India's Tata Motors, built the plant near Nitra, about 65 miles east of Bratislava, to initially produce 150,000 cars a year. The Slovak government is giving the carmaker investment subsidies of up to 130 million euros ($148 million). Slovakia is a regional car-making powerhouse. Germany's Volkswagen AG, France's PSA Peugeot Citroen and South Korea's Kia Motors all have a major plant in this Central European country of 5.4 million people. The company said it will shift all production of its Discovery model from Birmingham, England, to Slovakia amid falling diesel sales, vehicle taxes and uncertainty about Britain's Brexit departure from the European Union.Related Video:
