Up for auction is a 2004 Land Rover Discovery SE in Great Shape.  This is my personal vehicle.  Always serviced at our local Land Rover in Parsippany, NJ.  The vehicle is in great shape, runs well, all components work, I changed the original stereo to a Sony CD player with Blue Tooth and MP3 jack.  I am selling it because I have 3 other cars and I am looking to downsize.  All 4 tires were replaced about 20K ago through Land Rover, 60-70% life left.

All leather seats, the carpet is perfect; always had all-weather mats, 2 sunroofs, front seat warmers, etc.  Fun to drive and great in the snow!

Issues; 2 small chips on the windshield; just passed inspection in NJ, good through May of 2016.  Minor small chips on paint, faded driver's side back trim on wheel well (see pic), snap to hold rear storage cover broken (see pic), the cover works fine, normal drivers side wear on bucket seat, driver's side rear passenger door requires heavier pull on door handle.

All schedule maintenance done, next oil change scheduled for 94K.  Mileage will vary slightly as it get driven periodically.  I average about 16-17 MPG.  Reserve price is below the Kelly Blue Book.

A partial list of the following service that has been performed:
  • Schedule oil changes
  • Both front and rear brake pad and rotors replaced less than 20K ago
  • Cylinder heads- Engine set
  • Evaporation pump
  • Door hardware
  • 4 new tires through Land Rover
  • Periodic bulbs replaced
  • Ignition wires, spark plugs
  • Wiper blades
Email if you have any questions, you won't be disappointed!

Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships

Thu, 29 Nov 2012

Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.

Tesla layoffs, new safety mandates, and a bumper crop of V12s! | Autoblog Podcast #830

Fri, May 3 2024

In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd for a gasoline-powered installment. They lead off by diving into the Tesla layoff news from this week before leaving electrification behind for a bit to talk about not one, but two production V12 unveilings. This isn't a drill, folks; Aston Martin and Ferrari are both committed. After that, they touch on the U.S. government announcement that it would mandate automatic emergency braking systems starting in 2029. They finish up the news segment with a chat about Fisker. Poor, poor Fisker. From there, it's on to the road tests. The Autoblog team has been testing out some EVs and both Byron and Greg had some thoughts to share, plus we get a final update from Byron on the long-term Subaru WRX and some notes from both drivers about the updated Range Rover Evoque.  Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
