2003 Land Rover Discovery Se-low Mileage-dual Roofs-pirelli's-mud Guards-fl-kept on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
Welcome to a great opportunity. You are viewing a "Go-anywhere, Do anything" and "Look good while doing it" 2003 Land Rover Discovery SE Luxury 4-wheel Drive SUV. This Land Rover has it all! Striking good looks, unparalleled performance and extreme luxury. This Land Rover is sexy, rugged and definitely a "statement-maker" making you want to throw out that annoying mini-van, or family station wagon. Did we mention that all these flattering comments still represent the Ultimate Off-Road 4x4 SUV, by which all others are compared? You will quickly become the favorite Soccer Mom at your daughter's High school! Certainly one of the most desirable color combinations for this Off-Road Utility Vehicle--the High-Gloss Dark Green exterior compliments the Sand Beige leather interior nicely (with complimenting Black piping and carpets), and this Land Rover has all the bells and whistles (including dual sunroofs). It is fully loaded with power options, keeping you comfortable and warm, while you are pulling your friends out of a ditch on the dirt trail, or a Snow bank in the middle of a winter storm. Of course, it is equipped with a full 10,000 lb. rear towing capacity hitch....whether on Safari, or just a Safari to your local grocery store, this SUV is all work, AND all play! And both the exterior and interior are in good condition, but certainly not perfect. The original factory finish is in excellent condition (albeit with some sun fading on the roof) and very deep and rich. It looks like the previous owner waxed the truck regularly, just not as much on the roof! The finish looks great. Factory tinted windows round out this aggressive look and have kept the rich, leather interior cool and free from the sun's harmful rays. There are not any rips or tears, and all of the piping is excellent. The carpets, black in color, are like new, and have been protected over the years by a complete set of Pirelli-patterned flooring throughout the cabin. Mercedes has Weather-Tech, Land Rover has Pirelli. This rubberized flooring really has aided in keeping the interior very clean, and even the flooring is in excellent condition. Of course, the rear cargo area has plenty of storage space, with two large, deep storage bins, and the rear area can be secured with a pull-shade. This SUV does have door dings on both sides. Some of you will care, others of you won't. We just want to accurately describe this vehicle as best as we can. It has front and rear mud guards and also two Brand New Pirelli Scorpion Zero's in the front. Tire size is 255/60R18 and these are great tires with less than 500 miles on them. Completely loaded with full power options, including high-power audio system, dual 10-way adjustable power seats, dual roofs, factory aluminum alloy wheels, fog lamps and so much more. While looking great is fine, all that appearance means nothing if it doesn't drive and perform well. And this LR Discovery SE runs and drives great. As nice as you could possibly ask for. It has been completely serviced with new oil and filter change, complete cooling system flush, air condition service and of course, the new Pirelli tires. This Discovery is about the best driving LR we've had, and while certainly not the most expensive, it drives great, great, great! Tight throughout, The Land Rover Discovery is the benchmark all other SUVs strive to meet. With exceptional power, towing and handling, this SUV can handle anything thrown at it. Outstanding craftsmanship and artisanal refinements abound with this 4.0 liter V-8 Discovery. With only 85,000 original miles, mostly in Florida, it is just getting broken in. AutoCheck shows most 2003 Discovery's offered for sale in inventory within a score of 51-70...ours scores an impressive 74...even with all the small cosmetics! How's that for a glowing endorsement. And Florida vehicle are better vehicles. Believe me, it makes a BIG difference! No harsh weather, no harsh roads, no potholes, no hills, no salt, no snow, etc...you should be getting the picture. Aside from the obvious benefits, your under-carriage and transmission will also thank you! And remember Folks--only 85,000 original miles. That's less than 8,000 miles per year! Everything works on this Land Rover and it has recently been serviced. This Discovery is ready for a long road trip--on, or off, the road... for any driving condition, Wet, or Dry...or Snow! This is a great driving, excellent performing All-Wheel Drive SUV that is clean and ready for a new home. Again, it has many parking lot door dings on both sides of the truck, and the front bumper has been cracked (please see photos). We do have a quote for a new bumper if you want to make this truck perfect. And you can certainly do so. I would do the front bumper, the end cap, remove the dings, paint the roof, install two new Pirelli's in the rear to match the new one's in the front and with only 85,000 original, dealer-serviced miles, you will have a $9,500 Land Rover. But, we understand that some people are just fine with the way it looks now, and it drives great. So reliability will not be an issue, It is obvious that it was maintained well, and regularly. We are offering This 2003 Land Rover Discovery to our eBay clientele for 7 days with No Reserve, that's right, the highest, lucky winning bidder will be owning a wonderful SUV they will love driving. The latest May 2014 Edition on the NADA Used Car and Truck Guide shows the retail value of this Discovery to be upwards of $10,125 and certainly much more at your friendly neighborhood LR dealer, or local Luxury Auto Boutique. No disappointments here with the way it runs and drives and even the way it looks, but again, to make it perfect, it needs some attention and around $1,500...if you want to make it perfect, perfect. Some of you will, and some of you won't. Hop in it and drive to Colorado...without issue, and then roll around through all of those hills and mountains in the Ultimate SUV...while laughing at all those Jeep Rubicon guys that just spent $30,000 on their short-wheel base Jeeps! This vehicle has never been smoked in. The things listed are purely cosmetic items. Imagine all the fun you will have with this sexy and elegant vehicle--on road, or off, while still driving one of the safest vehicles on the road today. We can certainly assist with vehicle transport within the Continental US, and of course, free airport pick-up is available from Jacksonville International Airport. We list our vehicles to sell, and many sell with just a simple phone call to our sales associate. Don't miss out on this one. You will not find another one that has been this well maintained and drives this great.....I mean really, really great!...period. We have the title in-hand, ready for immediate transfer. Please feel free to call or e-mail us with any questions you may have and enjoy a wonderful buying experience. Please call 561.283.9511 and ask for Steve. He'll be happy to tell you all about this unique 4x4 SUV, and even take a personal walk-around for you while on the phone. Let's talk about it, and I'll tell you all of the good things, and a few of the items mentioned above that you may want to considering repairing. We do charge a nominal $299 dealer fee. Its our pleasure to serve you. Good Luck to everyone bidding. Bid with confidence and Bid to win! |

Jaguar likely moving HQ to Britain's most iconic racetrack
Fri, Feb 26 2016Jaguar Land Rover looks increasingly likely to make Britain's iconic Silverstone race track the automaker's new headquarters. There isn't a final deal in place yet, but the British Racing Drivers' Club, which owns the circuit, plans to have the membership vote on whether the negotiations should move forward, according to Autosport. BRDC leaders already presented the plan to members, and they were open to the idea. "The response was favorable so we will now set up an EGM for the members to vote and give the board a mandate to proceed with the deal and continue with the negotiations with JLR," BRDC president Derek Warwick told Autosport. There's no guarantee yet that JLR actually completes the deal. "There's still a lot of work to do to get the deal to where both sides are happy and more importantly what's right for the BRDC and its members." Warwick said. Rumors in early December suggested JLR was among the firms submitting bids to purchase the track, and the automaker allegedly offered 22.7 million pounds ($34.1 million at the time) for it. The company would also reportedly invest nearly $80 million to renovate the site, including adding a museum, experience center, hotel, and offices. The track would still be open for motorsport, too. Silverstone has hosted the Formula One British Grand Prix many times over the decades, and organizers signed a 17-year deal in 2009 to keep things that way well into the future. Series like the FIA World Endurance Championship, MotoGP, and British Touring Car Championship also compete there. Related Video:
