Up for bid is my Disco, which I have owned for just over 4 years and its been a great ride to have.  I have maintained her myself due to the high cost of the Dealership and other smaller shops without fail.  A friend in Colorado was going to take her, but his wife said no more trucks for him.

But now I've run into a issue(s) I can not overcome:

- She is overheating, even after I replaced her thermostat and she has been leaking antifreeze slowly overtime (only when engine has been running).  With the new thermostat she holds her temperature, but after 20-30 minutes she slowly starts to over heat.

- 1 car too many

- I no longer have the place to work on her due to some of the tenants in my garage abusing the privilege of being able to work on their vehicle on site.

I no longer have the time, or place to continue my adventures with her...sadly.  I'm not 100% sure what is wrong, it maybe another sensor or it may be a need for a head gasket change.  I believe I could fix her (even if head gasket issue), but as I mentioned I don't have my garage anymore, and even then...it's a big job to leave in a community garage.

The title is clean and I have it in hand.  I bought the vehicle with the knowledge that she had been in a fender bender a bit before I bought her.  The photos show the minor damage done to her bumper and the driver side front quarter panel.

The engine is strong, I don't drive her any further than inside my garage as I don't want to possibly damage anything else.  But before she overheated the engine ran strong without fail.

I really don't want to get rid of her, but the reasons above...one has to go with the addition of my motorcycle.  I recently added parts to her listed below.  I have receipts for all current purchased parts for the truck.

I am also selling a pair of rear oxygen sensors plus an uncut, unprogrammed new key fob.  See other items I am selling.

Kelly Blue Book has this rover valued at $3,090 for private party at fair condition (which is the lowest). I am putting her at a low bidding start and no reserve for the overheating reason.

I have been fully upfront with the "major" issue with the Disco and have not withheld any information regarding the SUV.  If I think of anything else I will update as needed.

I am also posting her locally and reserve the right to cancel my listing if she sales before the auction ends.

If the purchase is local and the the transaction will be in person, either cash or a cashiers check will be accepted at a bank of your choosing, if you don't have one, then at my local bank.  Title will be given at that time.

Please provide your own means if you need help transporting the vehicle.

I will not part the vehicle out.  If she doesn't go with a sale I will donate her to charity.  I rather have cash in hand, but a tax deduction works just as well.  But I know she  still has loads of life to her.

Please make sure you ask me any questions before bidding as she is "AS-IS" and all sales are final.

2016 Jaguar F-Type R at Monticello | AutoblogVR

Tue, Sep 27 2016

This week we indulged in a bit of fun. We took one of our favorite sports cars, the 2016 Jaguar F-Type to Monticello Motor Club north of New York. Senior Editor Greg Migliore selected the 550-horsepower R variant and pushed this Jag to the limit at one of North America's prettiest tracks. He reveled in the supercharged V8's power and sound as he embraced Monticello's curves and long straightaways. Meanwhile, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski had a similar experience. Kind of. He lapped Monticello in the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR and then went off-roading at a challenging course nearby. It's the best of both worlds. He gets to soak in the blown V8 – but also gets to splatter a little mud. Each week, new episodes will launch on the AutoblogVR App. We'll preview them here on Autoblog, but for the full immersive experience, head over to the app, which you can download for free from the App store and Google Play. Be sure to try it with a cardboard viewer, too! Jaguar Land Rover Driving Off-Road Vehicles Videos VR Original Video virtual reality 360video

Fully Charged rolls into season 3 with VW XL1 and electric Land Rover

Sat, Jan 18 2014

It's been some time since last we visited with British actor and electric car proponent Robert Llewellyn and his web-based video series, Fully Charged. The show, now sponsored by Ecotricity, has started rolling out its third season and now has available two episodes featuring a pair of truly unique – and diametrically opposed – vehicles. The first installment starts with some interesting numbers involving the host's Nissan Leaf and its energy consumption over the past 36,000 miles, but soon moves on to the ultra-aero, ultra-expensive Volkswagen XL1. Now, if you've already seen the footage from our own XL1 first drive review, there's not a lot new here except, perhaps, more enthusiasm and a better listen of the two-cylinder diesel kicking in. Still, it's a great reminder of a truly unique vehicle and we enjoyed the segment. The second episode features an electrified Land Rover Defender 110. This is a vehicle you'd more likely see on an African safari than at the local mall. It's not a home-built conversion either, but rather, something the company has put together "for the boffins to create the ideas and see if they work." Boasting a 50-mile range, it's certainly something we like to take on an off-road adventure. Llewellyn is given the chance to do just that, and though the course is somewhat milder than what we might attempt, it does feature a stretch of river and some rough, rutted tracks. You can watch both episodes by scrolling below let us know which vehicle you'd prefer in the comments. This writer is going with the four-wheel-drive. This content is hosted by a third party.
