Land Rover: Defender 110 I purchased this from the original owner in Milton Keynes about 3 years ago. We brought it to our UK shop for a full going through and re-spray. We then imported it into the US and have all valid To be very clear: THIS IS NOT GREY MARKET!!!! It is 100% legal and documented. These days there are so many junk 110s out there it is amazing. This is not one of them! Yeah... I know I am the seller here but I also do Land Rovers for a living... had planned on keeping this for myself but apparently my wife had a different plan.... It is every bit as nice as it looks; nothing hidden here, no surprises! Every once in a while you see a truck that screams DEFENDER! This is it. This really does need to be driven to be appreciated.1984 5 door RHD 110 CSW (Country Station Wagon) 3.5 V8, LT85 w/power steering 90k on it Full disassembly and rework of the body. It is a 100% straight truck. We have full documentation. And a pile of more stuff I forgot….. This is by far one of the nicest 110s I have ever been in. The original owners are and used this on their farms North of London. It was never flogged! Always taken care of and it shows. If you are looking for a donor truck to turn into a knock off PUMA this is NOT IT! This truck is perfect right as it is :) Truck is in my name on the UK V5Imported in my nameWill provide a Bill of Sale from me to you for you to register in your state. It is fully legally imported into the US and we have all paperwork. We can help you with advice and direction to have it regsstered in your locality or we can have it registered in Georgia then transfer the title to you. We will charge actual cost for that. There is a ton of info out there on how to register LEGALLY imported trucks in each state. The very short course is you need to show how it was brought into the US via the Customs, DOT and EPA Documents, how you own it via a notarized Bill of Sale and then submit your state It is not a big deal. In the past we had always done this prior to sale but this time we wanted to get this on the market and sold as soon as possible and also to save the buyer a bit of money. Currently at the Atlanta shop. The VIN number shown is for E Bay onlyWe will VIN tomorrow when we get to the office Please message us with any questions. Xcar drives Jaguar C-X75, other Spectre villains of 007
Thu, Oct 29 2015James Bond returns to US theaters very soon in Spectre, and with the action-packed film wrapped, the producers are lending out the keys to some of the movie's automotive stars. We've already seen Jay Leno behind the wheel of Bond's Aston Martin DB10. Now, Xcar's Alex Goy has taken a turn in some of the flick's villainous rides from Jaguar Land Rover, including a very special Jaguar C-X75. The crew from JLR's Special Vehicle Operations team certainly did an impressive job of giving the movies baddies some appropriately nefarious rides. To challenge Bond, they turned the Land Rover Defender into a beast with chunky, off-road tires and blinding-spot lights. They also made the Range Rover Sport SVR even more diabolical than normal with a blacked-out look and LED lightbar. Of course, the king of Spectre's villain cars is the C-X75. According to Goy, most of the ones in the movie use the company's 5.0-liter, supercharged V8, but two are actually original prototypes with the hybrid setup. He gets to drive one of those special examples in this clip. While limited to some low-speed cruising, the coupe still looks wonderfully menacing on the road. Related Video:
Fully Charged rolls into season 3 with VW XL1 and electric Land Rover
Sat, Jan 18 2014It's been some time since last we visited with British actor and electric car proponent Robert Llewellyn and his web-based video series, Fully Charged. The show, now sponsored by Ecotricity, has started rolling out its third season and now has available two episodes featuring a pair of truly unique – and diametrically opposed – vehicles. The first installment starts with some interesting numbers involving the host's Nissan Leaf and its energy consumption over the past 36,000 miles, but soon moves on to the ultra-aero, ultra-expensive Volkswagen XL1. Now, if you've already seen the footage from our own XL1 first drive review, there's not a lot new here except, perhaps, more enthusiasm and a better listen of the two-cylinder diesel kicking in. Still, it's a great reminder of a truly unique vehicle and we enjoyed the segment. The second episode features an electrified Land Rover Defender 110. This is a vehicle you'd more likely see on an African safari than at the local mall. It's not a home-built conversion either, but rather, something the company has put together "for the boffins to create the ideas and see if they work." Boasting a 50-mile range, it's certainly something we like to take on an off-road adventure. Llewellyn is given the chance to do just that, and though the course is somewhat milder than what we might attempt, it does feature a stretch of river and some rough, rutted tracks. You can watch both episodes by scrolling below let us know which vehicle you'd prefer in the comments. This writer is going with the four-wheel-drive. This content is hosted by a third party. Jaguar Land Rover says half its models will be hybrids or all-electric by 2020
Tue, Nov 22 2016Neither Jaguar nor Land Rover has ever been mistaken for big-time green-car brands, but their parent company is trying to change that. Jaguar Land Rover looks to have as many as half of its models be of the hybrid, plug-in hybrid, or battery-electric variety by 2020, CEO Ralf Speth said at the Los Angeles Auto Show last week. Speth made the announcement while showing off the I-Pace concept compact crossover. The green-car expansion would mark a natural extension of Jaguar Land Rover's decision last year to double the headcount in its advanced-engineering department. As for the five-seat I-Pace, that model will be Jaguar Land Rover's first production electric vehicle when it starts sales in 2018. The car will have a 90-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack that will deliver a single-charge range of about 220 miles. Boasting more than 400 horsepower, the car will also be able to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about four seconds. What's also notable is that Jaguar says the model has been designed to be an electric vehicle from the ground up, and hasn't been converted from the platform of an existing model. Of course, Jaguar late last year said it would enter a team in the FIA Formula E electric-vehicle open-wheel racing circuit, so the British badge has made recent noise about upping its green-car quotient. As for the I-Pace, the automaker hasn't revealed pricing on the model, but it's safe to say that it will be quite high. Check out a three-minute video of Speth's presentation here. Related Video:
