Everything is brand new. Interior, exterior, engine transmission, accessories everything. It took 2 years to finish
this car. I purchased it in 2011. I bought it to enjoy it, it was in great original shape when I bought it and it
had only 40000 miles, then after 6 months I decided to fully restore the car. It was finished in 2015. I will try
to list everything that was done to the car, but I will probably forget most of the things. Just send me a message
if you have any questions. In the last 5-6 years, I only put 6000 miles on the car after full restoration and still
did maintenance every 6 months.

When I built this car, I wanted to build the ultimate Defender. Very capable off roader with the looks and very
comfortable daily driver in the city. Starting with the city features, the car has 2 very important features. Air
conditioning system and power steering wheel. These 2 are game changers in these cars. Without these two, it is
very hard to drive these cars. Also the car has power brakes and brand new clutch and recently serviced
transmission. Heater works well, and all the doors, door panels, seals were replaced. Off road tires are very quiet
and it gives a very smooth ride in daily driving. it is a very smooth and quiet ride in the city and very
comfortable. You can go on highway, and it is very quiet. Even though the car was built as a true off roader, I
only took it off-road a couple times and mostly for camping. Car was never taken to hard off-road terrains.

Exterior:
Car was painted Camel Trophy yellow. All the trims and accessories are gloss black and they are correct to original
Camel Trophy Defenders. Car is lifted and all the springs, shocks, arms, links are brand new. It has 4 brand new
tires with less than 200 miles on them. You can still see the markings on the tires. Rims are also painted to the
body color.

Front headlight and rear taillights all have protector cages around them. Grill and headlight bases are also
painted to gloss black. All 16 windows are tinted and look amazing. Front bumper, rear bumper, side steps are
custom made. Panel under the front bumper is also custom with “Defender” script on it with matching yellow
color. There is a 33” jack installed on the rear bumper and a ladder to go to the roof tent. There are also steps
on the rear bumper as well.

There are 5 off road lights on the roof in front and all of them are functional. There are also lights on the side
of the roof and in the back. They are all LEDs and all work. Pretty bright. Rugged Ridge 12000lb winch was
installed in the front and can be controlled via remote in the trunk.

There is a custom roof rack on top with a very large tent. Tent can host 3 people. Also the rear seats of the car
can fold down and 2 people can sleep there. So 5 people can sleep on this car int total. Tent in the back also
covers the back of the car and that area can be used for showering. . Roof rack also carries 2
storage boxes and the spare tire.

There are rocker panels installed on the side of the car and they are also painted gloss black. This also provides
a unique look to this beautiful Defender. Also snorkel is installed on the driver side of the car so it can go
through deep waters.

Interior:

Interior is brand new as seen in the photos. Black real leather is used with yellow stitching and accents. Interior
has lots of custom pieces and looks very luxurious.
Most important piece of the interior is the Webasto Air Conditioning system that is installed underneath the arm
rest. This is a game changer.
There is a bluetooth radio and speakers, that also provides great sound. You can connect your phone to it or just
listen to the radio.
All the pedals, floor mats, carpets, roof lining, dome lights, dash, door panels, steering wheel, seat belts, arm
rest, doors, locks, window regulators and whatever you can think of are brand new. Some of them are custom made
pieces like door panels, roof linings dashboard, lockable arm rest, sun visors.. Some of them are original Land
Rover parts like steering wheels, shifters, seat bases, seat belts, mirrors etc.
There is a 2 part storage area in the trunk. These 2 sections can be used to hide stuff or separate the cargo. Side
windows in the trunk can slide and open for more air. Rear door panel and trunk side panels are also finished in
leather with yellow stitching.

Engine and Transmission:
Brand new clutch was installed 200 miles ago and transmission is serviced. Fluids were flushed and replaced.
Transmission is very smooth and brand new.
Power steering box was recently replaced. Steering wheel is very soft and responsive.
Car has a 2.5L gasoline engine with 4 cylinders. Engine was serviced at the same time and has lots of new
components. Spark plugs, seals, oil, filters, gaskets and many more parts. Tune up was done and drives very
smoothly. Nothing needs to be done to the engine or transmission. Turn key car. No leaks, no vibration, no funny
noises. It is almost impossible to find a Defender in this mechanical condition.

Jaguar Land Rover considering Mexican plant

Mon, Apr 27 2015

Jaguar Land Rover has been expanding its production out of the UK and into overseas markets, and according to the latest word from Bloomberg, the British automaker is considering spending more than half a billion dollars to build a new assembly plant somewhere in Mexico. Since the Range Rover Sport and Evoque are two of the company's top sellers in the US, those would reportedly be the most likely to be manufactured at the Mexican plant, although Jaguars could follow as well. The automaker was previously said to be leaning towards a location in the Southern US, and while it could conceivably proceed with plans for both, it would be more likely to go with one or the other. State and local authorities below the Mason-Dixon line have been soliciting the business with various incentives, but lower labor costs South of the Border could prove more attractive to JLR and its parent company Tata. It wouldn't be the first, after all. Over the past month alone, General Motors committed to building the next Chevy Cruze in Mexico, Toyota did the same with the Corolla, Hyundai was reported to be considering a similar step, and Ford announced two new plants in the country amounting to a $2.5-billion investment. Luxury automakers like Audi, BMW and Mercedes have also been delving into Mexican production as well, blazing a path that JLR could potentially follow. The British automaker recently opened a plant in China and another in Brazil, while investing in additional facilities in the UK as well.

All of the Bond cars of 'No Time To Die' (caution for spoilers)

Thu, Sep 30 2021

Note: The following overview of the cars in No Time To Die contains spoilers. Read at your own risk, or come back after seeing the film to make sure you caught everything.   No Time To Die picks up right around where Spectre leaves us. James Bond (Daniel Craig) and Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) are driving along in Bond’s restored and iconic DB5 in Matera, Italy. Things donÂ’t stay all that cheery for long in picturesque Matera, though. As is tradition in Bond films, the first car chase hits us with an explosion of action in what's a super-long opening scene. Fourth-gen Maserati Quattroporte: The baddies in the beginning are driving a Maserati and chasing after Bond in the DB5. Specifically, theyÂ’re in a fourth-gen Quattroporte, which feels right for a chase scene in Italy. Its squared-off looks are mean enough, and its Italian growl is a good background soundtrack to the DB5Â’s inline-six. In addition to the Quattroporte, the chase scene in Matera is home to a couple of the best stunts of the entire movie, including the arch jump done with a Triumph motorcycle seen in trailers — Matera is extremely hilly. Eventually, Bond and Swann find themselves in the DB5 again together, which is where the famous gatling gun scene from the trailer commences, but not before the bulletproof windows and body of the DB5 are thoroughly tested. RIP to the first-gen Range Rover Classics and Jaguar XFs that joined the Maserati in pursuit of Bond (here's a list of other Bond cars over the years). As the DB5 escape scene concludes, we catch a glimpse of what appears to be a Ferrari from the 1970s. However, the view was far enough away that weÂ’ll need a second look to be sure of the exact model. Land Rover Series III: Next time we see Bond, heÂ’s fishing in Jamaica and driving around a blue Land Rover Series III. ItÂ’s yet another of the many Land Rover products featured throughout the film, and unlike most of BondÂ’s Aston Martins, this one doesnÂ’t seem to have any unique features. The other intriguing vehicle out of Jamaica? An old Chevrolet Bel-Air expertly and effectively piloted by Bond newcomer, Ana de Armas. Next up, we get a few shots of the new and still-not-for-sale Aston Martin Valhalla mid-engine supercar (also seen in trailers). BondÂ’s old boss M is in the scene which appears to have been shot in some secret wind tunnel of sorts. Much to our dismay, nobody ends up driving the Valhalla in the film. Could it be a teaser for what the next 007Â’s car is?

Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations could build standalone models

Sun, Mar 8 2015

Jaguar Land Rover may be set to turn its Special Vehicle Operations division into something much bigger than a mere in-house tuner. Bloomberg spoke to the head of JLR's high-performance, customization outfit, John Edwards, who hinted that his team may move beyond simply modifying F-Types, Range Rovers and the like. "We're certainly looking at that, and we've got the capability to do that," Edwards told AN. "Is there an opportunity for us to do a completely standalone car? Maybe." Such a move into full-scale, standalone models would be a big step, particularly for a division that's still kind of in its infancy. Bloomberg references the success of Mercedes-AMG, but the German division has had the benefit of decades of growth. AMG spent years and years building high-performance versions of all manner of mainstream Mercedes vehicles, before moving onto cars like the SLS AMG and AMG GT, which have no mainstream analog. In other words, AMG had a long time to develop a reputation building high-performance vehicles that people know and recognize before it moved into building vehicles of its own. We aren't entirely convinced that SpecOps wouldn't benefit from taking a similar approach, delivering additional SVR vehicles, like the rumored XE SVR, before striking out on its own. We'd like to know what you think, though. Is it already time for Special Vehicle Operations to build standalone models, or should it learn to walk before it runs by modifying more of Jaguar Land Rover's existing product. Have your say in Comments. Related Video:
