I am relisting this Land Rover Defender The previous highest bidder here on Ebay was a scam. After that I agreed with the second highest bidder, who after three weeks of emailing and all kind of promises came up with the excuse of a business partner backing out (thanks for wasting my time Stephenk******) So PLEASE don't respond to this add, if you are not serious, if you don't have the money, if you haven't talked to your wife first, or if you can only send emails like "still available ?" or "what is your reserve". Also people who don't know what a Defender is, please first do some research on line and you will find these cars have a very low top speed, hardly any horse power, are noisy and uncomfortable. Parts are easy to get though and repairs are very simple.
SO, now the positive: For everybody who is still reading and interested, I have for sale a very nice, solid, non rusty, Left Hand Drive, Land Rover Defender 90. If you have any questions after reading this add, I am more then willing to answer these.
This 1985 Land Rover spent most of its life in the warm and dry climate of Italy. It has the 2.5 NA diesel engine. It is all original and has only done appr 50.000 miles. This is a LHD without any rust !!!!
- solid frame without any rust - engine good condition, no smoke, always starts and is very nice runner - very good interior, 7 seater. - new rear cross member - tires good - 7 seater - power steering - no rust on bulkhead - door frames are solid, so is A-pilar Overall the body is in very good condition, but is has a dent on the rear quarter panel and the paint on the hood is a little damaged, see pictures. I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the odometer but given the condition of the car I would think it is correct. The car is recently imported and checked by customs. It comes with a clear MI title. (issued September this year)

Question of the Day: What's the greatest British car ever?
Fri, Jul 15 2016The British automotive industry has produced everything from high-production econo-commuters to staggeringly luxurious oligarch-wagons, along the way winning plenty of races and building plenty of beautiful machines. The original Mini led directly to the past half-century of transverse-engine, front-wheel-drive cars built everywhere, the MGB put the sporty little convertible into everyone's reach, and the Morris Oxford became the most beloved motor vehicle in India. So many to choose from, but we want you to pick one. What will it be? Related Video:
Jaguar Land Rover seeks to block U.S. imports of Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, VW SUVs
Fri, Nov 20 2020You wouldn’t know it was about Jags and Lambos, to judge by its rather dry name: In the Matter of Certain Vehicle Control Systems. But thatÂ’s the complaint Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Plc filed on Thursday to block U.S. imports of Porsche, Lamborghini, Audi and Volkswagen sport utility vehicles it says are using its patented Terrain Response technology without permission. Jaguar Land Rover, a British carmaker owned by IndiaÂ’s Tata Motors Ltd., said in its filing with the U.S. International Trade Commission that the technology helps negotiate a “broad range of surfaces” and is a key feature in JaguarÂ’s F-Pace and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. “JLR seeks to protect itself and its United States operations from companies that have injected infringing products into the U.S. market that incorporate, without any license from JLR, technology developed by JLR and protected by its patent,” JaguarÂ’s lawyer, Matthew Moore, said in the filing. Representatives of Volkswagen didnÂ’t immediately respond to emails seeking comment on the complaint. Jaguar wants to block imports of PorscheÂ’s Cayenne; LamborghiniÂ’s Urus; AudiÂ’s Q8, Q7, Q5, A6 Allroad and e-tron vehicles; and VWÂ’s Tiguan vehicles. It said there are plenty of other luxury midsize SUV and compact crossover vehicles to meet consumer demand if the SUVs are banned from the U.S. Still, the premium Porsche and Audi lines provide much of the profit VW is using to fund its investments in technology for electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and further innovations. In addition to the four brands, Volkswagen Group owns other upscale nameplates, including Bentley and Bugatti. The International Trade Commission is an independent, quasi-judicial agency that investigates complaints of unfair trade practices, like patent infringement. It canÂ’t award damages but does have the power to block products from entering the U.S. Owners of patents and trade secrets like it because it can work faster than the federal district courts -- the typical investigation is completed in 15 to 18 months. But Jaguar also filed patent lawsuits against the companies in federal courts in Delaware and New Jersey, seeking cash compensation for the use of the technology. Those cases are likely to be put on hold once the trade commission launches its investigation. The case is In the Matter of Certain Vehicle Control Systems, 337-3508, U.S. International Trade Commission (Washington).
Tesla layoffs, new safety mandates, and a bumper crop of V12s! | Autoblog Podcast #830
Fri, May 3 2024In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Associate Editor Byron Hurd for a gasoline-powered installment. They lead off by diving into the Tesla layoff news from this week before leaving electrification behind for a bit to talk about not one, but two production V12 unveilings. This isn't a drill, folks; Aston Martin and Ferrari are both committed. After that, they touch on the U.S. government announcement that it would mandate automatic emergency braking systems starting in 2029. They finish up the news segment with a chat about Fisker. Poor, poor Fisker. From there, it's on to the road tests. The Autoblog team has been testing out some EVs and both Byron and Greg had some thoughts to share, plus we get a final update from Byron on the long-term Subaru WRX and some notes from both drivers about the updated Range Rover Evoque. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com.
