I am selling my amazing Range Rover Classic. This is the nicest Range Rover Classic that you will find. 89,000 original miles. Everything is stock. Full-time all wheel drive with low range for the technical stuff. Leather and wood inlay-ed dash are perfect. Every option for rock-crawling and wheeling. Ramsey Winch with 2" receiver mount for use in front or rear. Dual battery system with dual-cycle batteries to run the winch. Front and rear air lockers with on-board air compressor for tank-like traction. Rock rollers on the back bumper for when the trail gets really tight. CB radio with dual antennas. The body is rust-free, the AC blows cold and the heater blows hot. Brakes, steering and suspension are in great shape. Automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Original Buick V8 has lots of power. All electric components, doors, mirrors, sunroof and windows work as they should including the keyless entry/security system with pager that pages you if someone is messing with your car. Michelin tires with plenty of tread left. Kenwood AM/FM stereo with CD, iphone input includes remote control Rear seats fold down and forward for ridiculous cargo space. Custom tent that pitches over the back hatch/tailgate for sleeping in the back. I'm 6'1" and I slept like a baby in the back of this rig. Towing package with electric brake control under the dash. Yakima rack for hauling canoe, cargo box, bikes etc. All original tools. Some extra parts and belts plus extra factory wheel/tire (not the spare, an extra wheel/tire). Spare wheel/tire is in great shape. Original owners manual plus voluminous factory service manual with service bulletins and manuals for differential lockers, winch and CB. All service records since new. This Rover has been in Colorado and Wyoming its entire life. I am the 3rd owner. Garage kept exclusively.
I will deliver this beauty within a 400 mile radius of Cody, WY for $1 per mile. Free delivery to Bozeman and Billings, MT (because I go there frequently). Free delivery will require a $1000 non-refundable deposit before I make the trip.
You are encouraged to test-drive this beast. She is capable and I would drive her anywhere. Selling because I just don't four-wheel like I thought I would and I think someone else would drive her like she wants to be driven.

Your guide to vehicle subscription services
Mon, Oct 1 2018They might be extremely limited in scope because of location availability, but vehicle subscription services are a growing trend that most luxury manufacturers are jumping on. Plans are expensive, but you're paying for much more than just the car typically. We highlighted four of the larger plans with a few more listed at the end. Care by Volvo Volvo launched its subscription service last year with its brand-new XC40. It was the only vehicle available for a time, but subscribers can now get an S60 sedan as well. Subscriptions are for two years, with the monthly price including insurance, a concierge service, wear-and-tear item replacements and all maintenance. You'll be able to drive 15,000 miles per year with whichever Volvo you choose, and although there are no options to extend that mileage, you can swap cars after a year. Pricing for the XC40 is $650 per month in base trim, while an S60 can be as expensive as $850 for the R-Design. Volvo's plan is to offer more cars soon through the service, but it's relatively limited compared to others right now. Porsche Passport Porsche has two levels in its subscription service: Launch and Accelerate. Launch will cost $2,000 per month and give you access to the Cayman, Boxster, Macan and Cayenne. All of those but the Cayenne can be had in "S" trim as well. Accelerate is where the fun really starts. For $3,000 per month you can choose from a fleet of 911s, including the S, 4S, Cabriolet and Cabriolet S. If those aren't enough, you can also get the Panamera 4S, Macan GTS and Cayenne S. There are no mileage limits and you can change vehicles as often as you'd like. Also included in the price is insurance, repairs, detailing and any maintenance. It might be extremely expensive and limited to Atlanta only, but this subscription service is second-to-none for what you get. Audi Select Audi just launched its subscription car service, and it's offered in one version for a flat fee of $1,395 per month. For that you'll have access to five different cars including the A4, S5 Coupe, A5 Cabriolet, Q5, and Q7. Not a bad range of vehicles, but it would've been neat to see the recently updated A7 in there too. Maybe in time. Like the others, insurance and maintenance are wrapped up in the price. Audi is allowing for unlimited miles and two car swaps per month here. In addition to that, you'll get two days of free rentals through Audi's Silvercar rental agency should you go on a trip.
Who picks car colors and materials? Designers like Hannah Custance
Tue, Dec 21 2021As automotive journalists, we're often asked "how did you get that job?" People usually didn't even know you could do such a thing. In this 7 Questions series, we're highlighting other jobs in the automotive industry that you might not have heard about before. What do they do, how'd they get to do it and other questions about their particular corner of the car world. Slowly but surely, the automotive landscape is becoming more colorful. Look beyond the unrelentingly conservative palette of white, black and gray most buyers opt for and you'll see the increased use of exterior trim types beyond the usual chrome. There's gloss black, of course, but also other metallic finishes like gold or copper. Those can be found inside, too, where there's also an increase in colorful leathers and trims, innovative fabrics, new wood types and finishes, and greater creativity in general. So where is this change coming from? The answer is designers like Hannah Custance, the color and materials design manager for Jaguar Land Rover. Her team's latest effort is also its magnum opus, the 2022 Range Rover. Although saddled with the expectations that comes with one of the automotive industry's classic nameplates, the all-new Range Rover is also a celebration of cutting edge manufacturing and fashion-forward materials selection. We sat down with Hannah at the L.A. Auto Show to find out more about color and materials designers, how she ended up in the industry, and advice she might have for young designers out there. It has been condensed for brevity. Autoblog: What does a color and materials design manager to do?Hannah Custance: I basically look after a team of designers who design finishes for every A surface on the car. So, that could be exterior finishes. It could be interior trim materials, soft materials, hard materials, chromes, metals, woods, ceramic – that's one of the new ones – anything you can kind of touch and see is color material design. Autoblog: How early in the design process does your team become involved.Hannah: Right at the very start. In fact, we look at materials that don't have a product assigned to them or a car assigned to them. So, it takes actually a very long time for us to get materials approved and fully validated. We have to find suppliers that are willing to work in automotive and our test standards are incredibly high, some of the highest in the industry.
