1995 Range Rover Classic Lwb Beluga Black, 154,000 Miles. 1 Owner Vehicle on 2040-cars
Charlotte, Vermont, United States
1995 Beluga Black RRC LWB, 154,000 miles. 1 owner vehicle This 1995 RRC LWB was acquired by Congleton Racing team member Alexandra Hughes. This is a one-owner vehicle with over $50,000 of Dealer service receipts included, over $64,000 in service receipts total! We love this car, especially the unblemished Beluga black paint with its new Range Rover lettering in the back. Unfortunately, we already have four and just cant keep every Classic! If you are reading this ad, you are no doubt familiar with this last year of the RRC: Range Rover’s first and greatest attempt at an estate car. This is the super rare LWB Soft dash version, meaning Land Rover spent countless resources updating the platform, then only offered it for one year before switching to the unloved P38A. What this means for the owner is an updated, serpentine drive belt, equipped 4.2 liter engine (with fresh tune-up by CRR), performance ECU, performance exhaust, air suspension that is fully functional and soft dash creature comforts. This vehicle separates itself from the herd of currently available classics for a couple reasons; first its air suspension is fully operational and reliable, having been meticulously serviced by the dealer for its entire 19 year life. Second all systems are fully operational, keyless entry, power seats, CD player, sunroof, cruise control the list is endless. Thirdly unlike most Classics which see dealer care for a few years and then are relegated to used car status, this vehicle was spared no expense. Rebuilt motor, rebuilt ZF trans, new remanufactured Borg Warner transfer box, all new fluids, AT tires with 95% tread life, unscathed wheels. The vehicle attains 80MPH without trying and while lowering itself automatically for improved handling! All the while running ice cold A/C and a worry free engine temp of 40% (185 degrees) We have seen all the Classics at CRR and are so happy to offer this one to a good home. Too often we see examples of these complex vehicle neglected, off roaded and serviced by inexperienced personnel with sub standard parts. It is so refreshing to see there are a few of the elusive “1 owner” RRC cars out there; that were garage kept and cared for. By the way it has never been off road! Below is a list of things that stand out to us with this vehicle; in no particular order- Super bright ballasted 8000Kelvin HID headlamps with high and low beam. Fully functional Fog lamps Fully functional Driving lamps by Hella Unscathed side steps, a genuine part no longer available Unblemished 5 spoke RRC wheels available only on this year RRC Fully functional power seats, sunroof, A/C, keyless entry, original radio with good sound quality by Harman Kardan Non-corroded rear lift-gate with new struts. Brand new transfer box Rebuilt ZF transmission Rebuilt and resealed 4.2 liter serpentine motor with fresh tune up (plugs, wires, rotor cap, air filter, oil, etc) Brand new Bilstein shocks Fully operational air suspension with three height settings. Un scathed leather seats Beautiful carpet Redone headliner to original quality with no sags. All power windows, locks, seat heaters, electronic functions perform. Front brush bar Rear lamp guards Beautiful paint recently sealed by CRR (this is not one of those that is shiny just in pictures in the sun, it is beautiful deep paint) New Range Rover rear badging as the original had peeled and this is a neat attractive option that makes the vehicle look even more contemporary Performance Exhaust by NRP, with genuine rear components Performance ECU by CRR Super quiet engine with no knocking. No mysterious power draw issues, this vehicle can be locked, ignored for a month and it starts right up! As with any vehicle we sell Taylor is available for questions anytime at 802-578-2461. All service records included. Support after the sale is only a phone call away. Any custom service can be performed by CRR before customer takes delivery. We have a few ideas for making this truck quite Bespoke! Happy bidding and thank you for your time. |

Strong JLR sales in China boost Tata Motors' quarterly profit
Fri, Jan 29 2021BENGALURU, India — Tata Motors Ltd on Friday posted a 67.2% surge in quarterly profit. Sales at its luxury car unit, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), improved in key market China as the country led a recovery in the global automobile industry from the pandemic. The Indian carmaker had logged losses for three straight quarters as the COVID-19 pandemic dented business in several of its key markets even as it was already dealing with uncertainties around Brexit, weak demand and rising costs. The Brexit trade deal agreed upon in December has avoided the risk of tariffs on automotive parts and finished vehicles, Tata Motors said, adding that JLR remains encouraged by the Brexit trade deal. JLR sales in China jumped 20.2% on-quarter and were 19.1% higher from the year-ago period. Retail sales at the unit, which accounts for most of the company's revenue, were up 13.1% from a quarter ago, but still 9% lower than pre-pandemic levels. The company said it had saved 400 million pounds ($548.96 million) during the December quarter at JLR under Project Charge, taking the total savings to 2.2 billion pounds so far. Tata Motors has set a full-year target of saving 2.5 billion pounds. Consolidated net profit came in at 29.06 billion rupees ($398.52 million) for the third quarter, compared with a profit of 17.38 billion rupees a year earlier. It had reported a loss of 3.14 billion rupees in the previous quarter. The festive season in mid-November, during which Indians typically make big-ticket purchases, also helped overall sales. "Due to a strong festive season and a clear preference for personal mobility, the PV business posted its highest sales in last 33 quarters," Tata Motors Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Guenter Butschek said. Total revenue from operations rose 5.5% to 756.54 billion rupees.
2018 Range Rover Sport Coupe spied in Scotland
Wed, Jun 8 2016Sport utility vehicles are the rage. SUVs with coupe styling are pretty popular, too, as BMW and Mercedes have demonstrated. Now it's Land Rover's turn. Believed to be the upcoming Range Rover Sport Coupe, this ute was spied this week during top secret testing at a remote location in Scotland. The vehicle would slot between the Range Rover Sport and Evoque, giving Land Rover an answer to the Mercedes GLE and BMW X6. These shots show what appears to be a chopped roofline, giving the new model a sportier profile than the traditional upright silhouette of Rovers. We expect it will use a version of the aluminum Jaguar F-Pace platform and offer V6 and V8 engines. It could also offer a hybrid or full electric version. The new crossover might also be lower set in a bid to differentiate it from traditional Rovers and give it a performance vibe. The Range Rover Sport Coupe – or whatever it is ultimately called – would enter a strong segment that's found favor in the United States. Once derided for potentially offering less function than traditional utes, these lifestyle vehicles have developed a strong following for their style and capability. The X6 was so successful, BMW added the smaller X4, and this forced Mercedes to follow suit with the GLE and GLC coupe variants. In this context, it's about time for Land Rover to join the fray. Jaguar Land Rover to drop supercharged V8 for turbocharged BMW power
Wed, Jul 27 2016There are few things that sound as good as Jaguar's 5.0 liter supercharged V8. As great as it is when the supercharger whines or the exhaust cracks and pops on throttle lift-off as the air pressure equalizes, the basic design dates back to the '90s. Plainly, the engine isn't as efficient as it needs to be, but designing a new V8 from the ground up is an expensive proposition. Instead, Automobile reports that Jaguar Land Rover is set to use a twin-turbocharged V8s supplied by BMW. Scalable architecture is all the rage as automakers streamline designs in order to save costs. For example, Jaguar's current supercharged V6 is quite literally a V8 with two holes missing. They didn't even change the length of the block. It seems both of those designs are on their way out, with the V6 being replaced by a inline-six closely related to the company's inline four. It seems that rather than designing an new and expensive V8 for their top of the line models JLR, is sourcing from BMW. From 1994 to 2000, BMW owned Land Rover. A few models, including the Land Rover Range Rover, used BMW engines then and in the initial years of Ford's JLR stewardship. It seems things have now come full circle. BMW currently makes a twin-turbo 4.4 liter V8 that produces anywhere from 440 to 600 horsepower, depending on the application. Automobile says that a new 4.0 liter V8 is in the works and that it will most likely be the engine that JLR uses. Expect it to be more powerful, more fuel efficient, and lighter than what both BMW and JLR currently offer. This seems like a win for both companies. BMW gets to offset the cost of a new motor while JLR, a smaller company, doesn't have to invest in a whole new architecture. As automakers search for ways to cut costs, expect collaborations like this to continue. Infiniti and Mercedes-Benz both share a four-cylinder engine. Ford and GM have worked together to design a shared 10-speed automatic. While we may lament the loss of that wonderful Jaguar Land Rover engine, we can still be happy that they haven't abandoned the V8.
