2004 Freelander Hse Easy Fix No Body Engine Damage Clean Title 70,405 Miles 2005 on 2040-cars
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States
I AM SELLING THIS CLEAN TITLE 2004 LAND ROVER FREELANDER HSE. 70,405 miles never hit w/ Blown Engine. Engine is out and it looks like Cylinder 6 dropped the sleeve, the rings caught it on the downstroke and blew the piston apart which did even more damage. Engine is shot. It's a shame because I know the personal history of this Vehicle which was owned and garage-kept by a guy who worked in the Detailing Dept. of my local Honda/Acura Dealer. The Full (NOT two-tone cloth/leather combo) Black Leather interior is immaculate (pic of driver left bolster shows wrinkle wear only, no color worn off) and the exterior could easily pass for a similar car w/ half the milage. There's a full brush guard that has the headlight protectors and the optional black factory running boards........... Vin# from this car is: SALNE22244A440703 > if in doubt about any part interchange (especially since some fit 2002 & 2003 also) have the dealer run this and your Vin to see if the corresponding part numbers are a match! I bought this back near the end of 2011 w/ a known engine problem, never put a mile on it but had the intention of fixing it. Still don't have the resources right now and really need the garage space it's taking up. Will consider offers before I start parting it out because it's really too nice to do that................... Thanks and Fun!!! DO NOT DO THE BUY-IT-NOW UNLESS YOU WANT THE ENTIRE VEHICLE W/ CLEAN TITLE, SERIOUS OFFERS WILL CALL AND DISCUSS, PERFECT PROJECT FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS A GOOD RUNNING 2002 2003 2004 OR 2005 W/ BODY DAMAGE ENOUGH TO TOTAL IT, BUT CAN TRANSFER EVERYTHING UNDER THE HOOD TO UPGRADE TO A VERY NICE WELL EQUIPPED, TOP OF THE LINE 'HSE' MODEL --- FOR LOCAL PICKUP/DELIVERY, IT'S PAINT CODE 737 - ZAMBEZI SILVER, HAVE 2 SETS OF KEYS AND REMOTES, OWNER'S MANUALS, CLEAN TITLE ON HAND. PLEASE NOTE; >>>> NOT <<< INCLUDED ARE THE ENGINE, (possibly) TRANSMISSION, & CATALYTIC CONVERTERS- depending on selling deal price, buy-it-now takes all except engine. EVERYTHING ELSE IS THERE, DRIVESHAFTS, FAN & RADIATOR, ETC............

The UK votes for Brexit and it will impact automakers
Fri, Jun 24 2016It's the first morning after the United Kingdom voted for what's become known as Brexit – that is, to leave the European Union and its tariff-free internal market. Now begins a two-year process in which the UK will have to negotiate with the rest of the EU trading bloc, which is its largest export market, about many things. One of them may be tariffs, and that could severely impact any automaker that builds cars in the UK. This doesn't just mean companies that you think of as British, like Mini and Jaguar. Both of those automakers are owned by foreign companies, incidentally. Mini and Rolls-Royce are owned by BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover by Tata Motors of India, and Bentley by the VW Group. Many other automakers produce cars in the UK for sale within that country and also export to the EU. Tariffs could damage the profits of each of these companies, and perhaps cause them to shift manufacturing out of the UK, significantly damaging the country's resurgent manufacturing industry. Autonews Europe dug up some interesting numbers on that last point. Nissan, the country's second-largest auto producer, builds 475k or so cars in the UK but the vast majority are sent abroad. Toyota built 190k cars last year in Britain, of which 75 percent went to the EU and just 10 percent were sold in the country. Investors are skittish at the news. The value of the pound sterling has plummeted by 8 percent as of this writing, at one point yesterday reaching levels not seen since 1985. Shares at Tata Motors, which counts Jaguar and Land Rover as bright jewels in its portfolio, were off by nearly 12 percent according to Autonews Europe. So what happens next? No one's terribly sure, although the feeling seems to be that the jilted EU will impost tariffs of up to 10 percent on UK exports. It's likely that the UK will reciprocate, and thus it'll be more expensive to buy a European-made car in the UK. Both situations will likely negatively affect the country, as both production of new cars and sales to UK consumers will both fall. Evercore Automotive Research figures the combined damage will be roughly $9b in lost profits to automakers, and an as-of-yet unquantified impact on auto production jobs. Perhaps the EU's leaders in Brussels will be in a better mood in two years, and the process won't devolve into a trade war. In the immediate wake of the Brexit vote, though, the mood is grim, the EU leadership is angry, and investors are spooked.
Jaguar F-Pace SVR to debut this week at New York Auto Show
Mon, Mar 26 2018It should come as no surprise that the folks back in England have been working on a hot new version of the Jaguar F-Pace. Today, just ahead of the 2018 New York International Auto Show, the British automaker confirmed that the Jaguar F-Pace SVR will debut this week. The new Jaguar I-Pace and Range Rover SV Coupe will make their North American debuts alongside the F-Pace. All we know about the F-Pace SVR is that it will be the fastest and most powerful version of Jaguar's best-selling product. We don't even have a teaser photo, as Jaguar Land Rover loves to play things close to the vest, so we're sharing some spy photos that we think might be the new model. Expect some version of JLR's 5.0-liter supercharged V8. We're hoping it's the 575 horsepower variant from the refreshed Range Rover Sport SVR. Expect 0-60 mph times in the low-4-second range and a top speed of at least 155 mph. The I-Pace and Range Rover SV Coupe both debuted earlier this month at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The I-Pace is an all-electric crossover with an estimated 240 miles of range. The SV Coupe is a limited-production two-door variant of the full-size Range Rover. It's meant to be a throwback to the original two-door Range Rover Classic. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
Thieves stole $3.7 million worth of Jaguar Land Rover engines
Fri, Feb 3 2017This past Tuesday was not a good one for Jaguar Land Rover. According to British news source Birmingham Mail, just over $3.7 million worth of engines were stolen from the company's factory in Solihull, England. Reportedly, the thieves drove up to the facility in a stolen semi-truck, found a trailer full of engines, hooked it up, and drove off. The thieves did this twice in one night, with the same truck, and got the first trailer in just six minutes. Perhaps more shocking is that Birmingham Mail reports this is the second time a theft of this type has occurred at the facility. The previous time happened in almost exactly the same way, but the engines taken were valued at just over $1.2 million, and five people were convicted of the crime. Currently, local police are looking for the latest suspects and the engines. The trailers were found, but were empty. We got in touch with a Jaguar representative who provided us the company's official statement: "We can confirm that we are working closely with West Midlands Police to investigate the theft of engines from the Solihull manufacturing plant. A reward is on offer to anyone who has information which leads to the successful recovery of these engines. It would be inappropriate for us to make any further comment whilst this investigation is ongoing." This was the only statement he would provide, and didn't provide answers as to what engines were stolen and if there would be any impact on manufacturing or vehicle deliveries. But if you're in the UK, and you've got a tip, let the cops know.
