This has been a great vehicle. Land Rover class and style all the way. I purchased this vehicle in 2007 with 59,780 miles. I have put less than 20,000 miles on this vehicle in the past 6 years. No reason, I just had a company car and didn't need it. Sitting in the Florida sun finally dried out some of the trim and the back bumper. They have subsequently cracked and broke off. It will start and runs great. The last time that I drove it about a week ago the check engine light came on after about 15-20 minutes of driving it. I took it home immediately and parked it. I do not know what is wrong with it and I do not have time to mess with it. My loss is your gain. It is in great condition with the exception of the mentioned bumper and trim. Looking at Land Rover forums it would appear that the check engine light would be due to the need of a tune-up. I do not know. It is clean and will start right up and run forever. I would suggest not driving it away with a check engine light on. I cannot guarantee it and the vehicle is sold As-Is, Where Is. It does have a small loan on it remaining through Santander. I will need the pay-off on it and that is what my reserve is set at. Since Santander holds the note, I will provide the vehicle with a bill of sale and the registration. The title will have to be mailed to you from Santander. I am moving out of state and do not want to take this vehicle with me. I will provide winning bidder with Santander's contact and they can write the check for payoff straight to Santander. It is a great looking car and will give someone years of comfortable classy driving. Gorgeous and Gold!

Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Care for a bit more proof that the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio of vehicles is the best it's ever been? Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."
Jaguar Land Rover gets to work on new university R&D center
Fri, Mar 20 2015Jaguar Land Rover has a raft of new products in the pipeline, from the new Defender to the next-generation XF sedan. But new product isn't the only thing the British automaker is investing in: it's also opening new facilities around the world, including what it's calling the National Automotive Innovation Centre back home in the UK. Based at the University of Warwick, the new $220-million R&D center is the result of a joint effort between JLR, its parent company Tata, the manufacturing arm of the university and the British government. The facility will bring together professionals from the automaker as well as its suppliers with academics to encourage, as the name suggests, innovation in the automotive sector. Its 355,000 square feet are earmarked to become the hub for Jaguar Land Rover's advanced research activities, including "workshops, laboratories, virtual engineering suites and advanced powertrain facilities, equipped to enable a full range of design, visualisation and prototyping activities." The cornerstore was just laid in a ceremony this week, but the facility isn't due to open until the Spring of 2017 when it will encompass some 1,000 employees, including 600 relocated by JLR to the new location from other sites in the UK. Jaguar Land Rover building new Special Vehicle Operations facility
Sun, 17 Aug 2014It's only been a couple of months since Jaguar Land Rover announced the formation of its new Special Operations division, and we've already seen a number of vehicles to come out of it. But now the British automaker has announced a new facility that will house its elite skunkworks department.
Set to be built at Prologis Park in Ryton, England, on the outskirts of Coventry, the new Special Vehicle Operations Technical Centre will encompass dedicated production lines, F1-style flexible workshops, a dedicated paint studio and VIP suite for commissioning bespoke projects. JLR will spend some $33 million on the facility that will be home to 150 specialists - 100 of them being new hires.
The first project which the Special Operations division is working on is the F-Type Project 7, but we've already seen more projects in the pipeline - including the upcoming Range Rover Sport SVR - and you can bet there'll be more. The revival of the Lightweight E-Type also falls under Special Operations, but is undertaken by the Jaguar Heritage department located nearby at Browns Lane.
