Up for bid is a clean carfax 2001 Land Rover Discovery Series ll SE Sport Utility 4D, very clean and beautiful vehicle with low miles 133,000. The Discovery ll from 99 to 03 models are very sought after vehicles. This car still have very beautiful paint considering a 13 years vehicle. Runs excellence, leather interior is still in very good condition, motor have been serviced, have paperwork, also just replaced starter, all oils have been changed. Car have original LandRover running boards and tow package, car comes with dual sunroofs. AC blows COLD. Normal temperature even when running AC. Car was serviced by John the Rover Dude. the only minor issues are the power locks from key remote sometime works on all doors, sometime I use manually to lock and open vehicle. Rear bumper have a left crack on the plastic cover and on the front right passenger door there is a shopping cart ding, but no paint chip. Also, on the rear back headliner, it is a little loose. Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists

Care for a bit more proof that the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio of vehicles is the best it's ever been? Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."

Despite a severe list to starboard, many of the 1,400 cars and SUVs aboard the 51,000-ton Hoegh Osaka are currently being recovered in salvageable condition, with video showing some of the vehicles from British brands Land Rover, Jaguar and Mini, being driven ashore under their own power. The car-carrying vessel developed a severe list on January 3 and was intentionally run aground on a sandbar between England and the Isle of Wight. It has since limped its way back to port in Southampton, where damage assessments are being conducted on both the ship and its $53-million in cargo. According to the company that owns the car carrier, the ship itself only suffered minor damage in the incident, while Car and Driver is reporting that many of the damaged vehicles will almost certainly be scrapped. Still, the fact that there are vehicles, some of which appear undamaged (look at that Defender at 0:50!), being removed from the Hoegh Osaka needs to count as a net win.
