NO FUNNY NOISES OR SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. BY A SIMPLE TURN OF THE KEY AND IT READY FOR ACTION.  IT IS VERY SOUND AND PURRS LIKE A KITTEN AT 65 MPG. SECOND, IM NOT STARTING MY BID OUT AT 20K, THIS IS A REALISTIC SALE AND NOT LOOKING TO MAKE A FORTUNATE ON A 86..IM SELLING THIS FOR A VERY REASONABLE OFFER. THE PERSON THAT BUYS THIS TRUCK WONT BE ABLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT WAITING FOR DAYLIGHT TO COME!  WAS IMPORTED A FEW AGO AND STILL DOES ITS JOB ON A WEEKLY BASIS..

THE TRUCK STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL PAINT AND FOR ME THERE WAS NO NEED TO PAINT WHEN I REALLY ENJOYED THE PATINA OF THE VEHICLE. THE BODY IS IN GOOD SHAPE WITH A FEW DINGS AND SCRATCHES, BUT NOTHING TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT. THERE IS SMALL DENT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE LOWER REAR PANEL. ALL 3 DOORS SHUT SWIFTLY AND CORRECT. NO HOLES ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DOORS ( CAN PROVIDE PICS).. DOOR PANELS ARE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE. ALL WINDOWS ARE FUNCTIONAL. ALL TURN SIGNALS AND LIGHTS WORKING. INTERIOR IS LIKE THE DAY I PURCHASED IT, STILL CLEAN, NO DRY CRACKS AND LOOKS GREAT! INSTALLED A KENWOOD RADIO WITH USB, MUSIC SOUNDS GREAT INSIDE. ALL INTERIOR SEAT ARE PRESENT AND CLEAN. HEADLINER INTACT, NO SAGGING OR RIPS.. GOOD SHAPE.

FRAME IS IN GOOD SHAPE EXPECT FOR THE CORNER REAR OF THE ROVERSNORTH CROSSMEMBER, KIND OF BACKED UP TO A STEEL POLE I DIDNT SEE. FROM FRONT TO REAR, THIS FRAME IS COMPLETE AND SOLID! NO UNEXPECTED HOLES OR RUSTY AREAS! TOOK PLENTY OF PICS.

ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN... PLEASE COME DRIVE THIS TRUCK..HOLY COW..ITS UNREAL. VERY SMOOTH, STARTS ON CUE, AND SHIFTS PROPERLY.  I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS CROSS COUNTRY. IT HAS NEVER EVEN CROSSED THE HALFWAY POINT ON THE TEMP GAUGE. STAYS COOL.. AS YOU KNOW THE 200TDI OR 300TDI IS THE MOST DESIRABLE ENGINE FOR THESE TRUCKS. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES, ENGINE BAY AND  UNDERCARRIAGE AROUND THE ENGINE AND TRANNY OR CLEAN. THERE IS A SMALL LEAK OF POWER STEERING FLUID COMING FROM THE TOP OF THE LID. ITS NOT VERY MUCH, HAVENT HAD THE TIME TO ADDRESS IT.

THIS TRUCK IS IN THE US WITH CLEAR TITLE AND IN HAND WITH A BILL SALE AS WELL. THIS IS BEING SOLD AS IS WITH NO WARRANTY. THIS TRUCK IS ALMOST 30 YEARS OLD AND WILL ALWAY REQUIRE MAINTENANCE. THIS IS NOT A PERFECT TRUCK BUT LET ME TELL YOU FOR THE PRICE, THIS 200 TDI BEAST  WILL PROVIDE MORE HAPPINESS THAN ANY OTHER 2.5NA OR 3.5 GAS V8 D90.. ITS SOMETHING ABOUT THE TURBO AND DIESEL SOUND IN THE MORNING READY FOR MY ADVENTURE..

THANKS FOR LOOKING.. HAPPY BIDDING

Second 'No Time To Die' trailer drops with lots of crunching metal

Thu, Sep 3 2020

The second trailer for the new James Bond film, "No Time To Die," was posted to social media Thursday morning, getting us thoroughly hyped for the forthcoming installment thanks to some spicy car content and lots of other ridiculous, big-budget action sequences.  Fair warning for the purists: This might contain plot- and character-related information from the trailer itself. Also, it appears that many Land Rover Defenders died in the making of this film, so the footage may not be for the faint of heart; don't say we didn't give you advance notice.  As is typical of Bond films, most of the automotive eye candy is of the European variety. The classic Aston Martin DB5 gadget car (which we saw doing some crazy machine-gun donuts in the first trailer) makes yet another appearance, as does what appears to be fourth-generation Maserati Quattroporte. There's even something which might be a car, but also appears to be both some sort of airplane and submersible. Never change, Bond. We love it.  And then there are the Defenders. We've got Defenders speeding down hillsides, Defenders crashing through forests, Defenders flying over Land Cruisers. Yeah, do you like Land Cruisers? There's a Land Cruiser. It even (spoiler alert!) survives relatively unscathed; the same cannot be said for most of the automotive shenanigans we get to see here.  "No Time To Die" was originally slated to debut back in April, but its original release date roughly coincided with the projected peak of early coronavirus infections. Given how important the Bond film franchise's continued success is to MGM (it's virtually the only thing the studio has had going for it for 30 years) and the producers (who only make Bond films), meager box office returns were not an option. The last film, Spectre, pulled in the worldwide gross of $880 million, including $200 million in the United States and $83.5 million in China. The wait is almost over. "No Time to Die" will hit theaters Nov. 25 in the United States.  Related Video:

Land Rover Defender V8, next Range Rover, new BMW M3 share the Nurburgring

Thu, Jul 23 2020

From open-track days to 24-hour races, so many events are held on Germany's Nurburgring track that carmakers need to share the tarmac with their rivals to put new models through their paces. Industry pool days are normally closed to the public, but a seven-minute video reveals what Land Rover, BMW, and several others are testing. Posted on YouTube by StatesideSupercars, the video shows prototypes racing around the track in the mid-summer heat. Land Rover's engineers are busy putting the final touches on the V8-powered variant of the new Defender, which our spies have previously spotted testing in its home country of England, and they're developing what looks like the high-performance, SVR-badged version of the next-generation Range Rover due out in 2020. As we reported earlier in 2020, the hot-rodded Defender packs a 5.0-liter V8 between its fenders, though its horsepower and torque outputs remain under wraps. Unverified rumors claim it will arrive as a limited-edition model to avoid sending Land Rover's fleet-wide CO2 emissions through the roof. And, the video confirms chassis engineers have made extensive modifications to the SUV's suspension, partly to keep body roll in check. Walking down the pits, members of BMW's testing team are getting up early to put track miles on an enigmatic variant of the face-lifted M5, and on the next-generation M3. We've already seen the M5 in the metal, so why is it still camouflaged? One possible answer is that we're looking at the rumored CS version, which should receive a 641-horsepower V8 thanks to software tweaks and a better cooling system. The simpler (and more boring) possibility is that BMW isn't quite done testing the M5, and it doesn't want to waste time removing the black and white wrap. Your author regularly spotted i8 prototypes in full camouflage regalia months after its debut. As for the M3, much has already been said about its mammoth grille, which seemingly mirrors the one worn by the new 4 Series. Autoblog drove a pre-production prototype in June and walked away impressed. It receives an evolution of the X3 M's 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged to 473 horsepower, though selecting the optional Competition package will increase that figure to 503. And, fear not: The six-speed stick is coming back. Land Rover and BMW aren't the only companies playing on the 'Ring.
