*NO RESERVE*

Selling my 1988 Land Rover 110 CSW.  I don't want to, but I'm a dad now and baby needs a new pair of - everything.

I imported two Land Rovers last year from the UK using a customs broker in Los Angeles to take care of the paperwork.  All paperwork is valid and will come with the vehicle. Clean Colorado Title in hand.

A copy of the British v5 registration documents will come with the vehicle as well as the full service history.  This one came from Wales and is the nicer of the two.  Its incredible.

VIN:  SALLDHMB7EA338379

The Good:
- Runs perfectly
- Looks Gorgeous
- Nothing has been changed from factory original (except wheels and tires) permitting this Rover to be titled anywhere in the U.S.
- No rust in frame or outriggers, so no need to replace the chassis or even repair it
- All mechanics of the vehicle are perfect
- Body is straight and and paint is nice
- No electrical issues!
- Full history of vehicle included
- Indenticar Anti-Theft system - Every piece of glass is etched with the British tag number (F46 NWK) to prevent theft.  If stolen the thief would have to replace all glass to conceal the theft.
- 5 Bar Checker Plate accents
- Wolf wheels (5)
- Impossible to find 8.25x16 Michelin XZL tires with 95% tread (set of 5, try to find these at any price!)
- Mantec swing away tire carrier
- Rear jump seats (4)
- 5 Bar Gray Cloth Land Rover rear interior with high back buckets
- Vinyl High Back Bucket front seats, both driver and passenger side are adjustable
- Factory Tape Deck
- Just completed full service and replaced top end gaskets with genuine LR parts (head gasket, injector gaskets, valve cover gasket, etc.) as preventative maintenance.  All engine parts in good working order.
- Comes with spare parts (Radiator hoses, some belts, various small parts) that I ordered in case anything went bad (it didn't).
- Tow package
- Draws a crowd

The Bad:
- I have to sell it
- Some rust in Bulkhead and rear doors (pictured).  Bulkhead repair section is included with vehicle.  Drive as is or fix it at your discretion, it didn't bother me.
- Rear window function is impacted by rust inside the door frames.  I never had time to clean it up.
- "Defender 110" plaque installed by me on the back (I like it, but it's not original)
- Normal wear and tear for a 25 year old vehicle (windshield and alpine light seals could use replacement but don't leak, etc.)

Transaction Details:
Cash in hand verified by my bank as legitimate, EBT, or CLEARED Cashiers Check are acceptable as payment.  Transaction will need to take place in person unless a cleared electronic bank transfer is made.  If buyer wants the vehicle shipped I will help with, but not arrange or pay for shipping charges.  Immediate deposit of $500 required, balance due in full within 7 calendar days. Please contact me with questions about any of this, I will work with you.  Vehicle is for sale locally so I may end the auction early.  I am located in Grand Junction, Colorado, and will be happy to show the vehicle locally.  I can help deliver within 250 miles upon receipt of funds.

Good luck, and thanks for looking.  I will miss this vehicle.

Pivi Pro Jaguar Land Rover Infotainment Review | A massive improvement

Fri, Aug 6 2021

Infotainment systems in Jaguar Land Rover products have irked us for a long while. They’re generally a good step — or several — behind other luxury automakers' infotainment systems in terms of features and looks. But the big problem has always been their functionality. Even right out of the gate, they exhibited an undue amount of lag and general bugginess. Pivi Pro is supposed to change all of that. ItÂ’s JLRÂ’s completely new-from-the-ground-up infotainment system that is quickly spreading across the companyÂ’s range of products. It features a new screen size and layout. Plus, the software itÂ’s running is vastly different from what we saw previously. Our Byron Hurd got a first taste of it with a number of JLR products in a short period of time and found it to be a big improvement. Now, weÂ’ve had a new Land Rover Discovery in the garage for a longer period to fully suss out the system. Will it hold up? Watch the video above for a quick tour, and keep reading for some more detailed thoughts. Before diving in too deep, you should know off the top that Pivi Pro is a massive improvement over JLR infotainment systems of old. There are still some issues, but the new systemÂ’s performance is exponentially better than what itÂ’s replacing. This is partly thanks to it now running off its own backup battery. This allows the whole system to load immediately upon startup, ensuring that you arenÂ’t sitting and waiting for items to populate after you press the start button.  The new 11.4-inch screen this software plays on is splendid to both look at and touch. ItÂ’s a super-high-resolution panel, and it takes to our inputs quickly and without protest. The new UI layout makes things easier and prettier, too. All of your important items are tucked into a panel on the left, making them super easy to find and select. Plus, a sticky “home” button means you can always find your way out of menus when youÂ’re done diving around. We dig the three-panel home screen and its minimalist style, but for those who might favor maximum functionality over a pretty home screen, you can replace this with rows of app icons. For those wanting to use their phones, there is indeed an in-car WiFi data plan available to buy. Plus, JLR newly allows you to connect two devices via Bluetooth instead of just one. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are nicely integrated with this new system.

Jaguar Land Rover rescues British off-road tuner Bowler

Wed, Dec 18 2019

Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicles Operation (SVO) rescued British off-road tuner Bowler from an uncertain fate. The firm has worked with Land Rover in the past, but it has always been independent. While JLR isn't in an ideal position to make acquisitions, and its recent financial troubles are well documented, Bowler was on the brink of shutting down. The small, 34-year old company had entered administration, and the 26 people it employed risked losing their jobs. Monetary details haven't been released, meaning we don't know how much Bowler was worth, but the firm pointed out it's now fully owned by SVO. It joins SV, Vehicle Personalization, and Classic as the division's fourth pillar. It's too early to tell precisely where Bowler will fit in the JLR latticework, because the initial focus will be on stabilizing the company. It will remain based in Belper, England, and every member of its full-time staff has been offered a position as a JLR employee. Bowler made a name for itself by turning the original Defender into a rally car, and Land Rover said the expertise it acquired during decades of racing is highly sought after, so that's a hint we'll see more hardcore models developed jointly by the two companies sooner or later. The new Defender would lend itself well to the Bowler treatment. The Bowler name could replace the SVX nameplate used on the stillborn, V8-powered Discovery, for example. The tuner's focus on off-pavement performance means we're unlikely to see a Bowler-badged Jaguar, but anything is possible as global demand for SUVs (especially quick ones) continues to rise. What's certain is that, once Bowler is stable, it will grow bigger.

Jaguar Land Rover moves closer to building Slovakia plant

Tue, Aug 11 2015

Jaguar Land Rover has announced its intention to build a new assembly plant in Slovakia. Though it has yet to make the final decision, the British automaker has signed a Letter of Intent with the Slovakian government. Its next step is to launch a feasibility study before committing. If the company does go ahead with plans, it wouldn't be the first automaker – or even the first European luxury automaker for that matter – to start producing in Slovakia. Nor would it be the first Jaguar Land Rover plant outside the UK, either. The Volkswagen Group, PSA Peugeot Citroen, and Kia all manufacture in the Central European country. VW's Bratislava plant in particular handles production of the Touareg, Audi Q7, and Porsche Cayenne. In the past few years, JLR has expanded its production capacity to new locations outside of the UK. It has a new factory in China, one under construction in Brazil, and has been manufacturing in India – home country of its parent company Tata – since 2011. It recently announced a manufacturing contract with Magna Steyr in Austria, and is investing in its facilities back home as well. Though yet to be finalized, the prospect of manufacturing in Slovakia has proven more favorable to JLR than other locations in Europe or in the United States or Mexico – all possibilities that the company says it looked into. It has yet to reveal just what it would produce there, saying only that "the plant would manufacture a range of aluminium Jaguar Land Rover vehicles," that the plant would be earmarked to come online in 2018 and eventually ramp up production to 300,000 vehicles. The prevailing wisdom would seem to indicate, however, that the site is being considered for the next-generation Land Rover Defender.
