Hello and welcome to the sale of this original Land Rover Defender 110 200 Tdi Station Wagon finished in white with grey cloth interior. Condition can be described as original throughout, she could certainly benefit from some light restoration to bring her back to immaculate condition. Having spent all her life in South Spain which is known to be incredibly dry, the vehicle has no rust whatsoever, I have included photos of the chassis which has yet to be "steam cleaned", which would make her look even cleaner. She starts first time, with no blue smoke or funny noises. Gearbox and clutch are good, no crunching gears (even when cold) and the engine pulls well through all speeds. Steering and brakes are also perfectly OK. Chassis number is SALLDHMF8HA904025 and this is shown on all the Spanish paperwork which is present and will be supplied with the vehicle. All numbers match as the vehicle carries the original chassis and engine from new. She comes with two keys, and original Defender owners manual, she has been regularly serviced with recent timing belt replacement but as per usual for Spain, there are no old service records on file! Vehicle recently underwent the equivalent Spanish MOT test, passed without any problems apart from requiring two new front tyres which have now been fitted. I will soon be uploading more high-res photos and a video of her start-up and running. The vehicle is based in South Spain but can be shipped from Algeciras, Spain to Halifax, Canada via 20ft Container for around $2,500USD, transit time is around 29 Days with Maersk. Manufacturers release details about wild, weird and wacky new technology, concept vehicles and services. Some take it to obvious outlandish extremes (Jeep Sedan anybody?), while others plot to mislead with products that are just outside the realm of possibility. Check out all the "jokes" below. BMW Motorrad BMW doesn't want to exclude anybody from experiencing the thrill of high-level racing, so it is introducing 'iRace" autonomous programming on its S 1000 RR sport bike. It includes beginner, sportsman, advanced and unlimited driving modes, and stores GPS information for all Superbike world championship tracks. Hyundai Hyundai is wrong for this. The Hyundai N Roadster is the work of South Korean designer Yeonjoon Park and features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, rear-wheel drive and a hard convertible top. Hyundai says this is a "concept (for now)," but we think it'd make a seriously great Mazda Miata competitor. Honda Honda wins the award for the best interactive gimmick, as its press release for the '90s-inspired special-edition Pastport includes a live hotline number with a message from Fred Savage. Is Land Rover developing an all-electric Tesla Model X rival?
Fri, Oct 31 2014Tesla will soon put its all-electric Model X crossover on sale, and if it's anywhere near as successful as the brand's four-door sedan the Model S, then it'll be a hell of an attention getter for mainstream automakers. Land Rover isn't waiting for proof of the Model X's success, though. According to reports, Land Rover could be preparing an all-electric Range Rover. Likely more crossover than full-size SUV, the new vehicle would probably be far more aerodynamic than current models. But the new EV would still take advantage of LR's high-tech aluminum structure, and could potentially be a close relative of the production Jaguar C-X17, according to Autocar. It seems unlikely that this new Land Rover EV will have the off-road chops of the brand's other models, but that doesn't mean that will be useless on the rough stuff. AC, citing Land Rover design boss Gerry McGovern, claims that a height-adjustable air suspension will allow a low, aerodynamic ride height for high-speed travel while it can easily be transitioned to a higher level for off-road duty. As for range, AC believes (and we agree) that a successful effort would need to get as close as possible to the Model S' 265-mile EV range. Autocar is anticipating a price of around 90,000 pounds, equivalent to $144,000, which roughly matches the cost of a UK-market Model S. If the Range Rover EV comes stateside, we'd wager that prices will start under six figures, much like the US-market Tesla.
