Lamborghini, Bentley recalling models with carbon-ceramic brakes

An issue involving carbon-ceramic brakes has prompted Lamborghini and Bentley to recall certain models so equipped. The problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, revolves around the stainless steel screws that secure the brake rotors, which are prone to corrosion when exposed to salty conditions.
The recall affects 2007-2009 Lamborghini Gallardo coupes and Spyders, 2006-2010 Murcielago coupes and Roadsters and 2007-2011 Bentley Continental GTs, GTCs and Flying Spurs. All in all, some 1,136 vehicles are subject to the recall in the United States, including 263 Gallardos, 404 Murcielagos and 469 Continentals. The fix seems simple enough, with local Lamborghini and Bentley dealers replacing the problematic screws with new ones. The recall follows two notices recently issued for Audis as well. Teen who stole Guy Fieri's Lamborghini gets life in prison [w/video]

If you're currently on a crime spree, we'd recommend against stealing the Lamborghini of a popular, bleached-blonde chef, lest you end up getting sentenced to life in prison. That's not to say 19-year-old Max Wade's life sentence was simply due to pilfering Guy Fieri's Lambo - an attempted murder charge for a drive-by shooting, among other crimes, also played a role - but we doubt it did much for his case.
You'll recall we last reported on Fieri's missing Gallardo Spyder in April of 2012, when it was reported that the Marin County Sheriff's Department and Mill Valley Police Department recovered the car from a storage container, that also housed the motorcycle Wade, then 17, used in the drive-by. Wade originally stole the V10-powered droptop from a San Francisco dealership in 2011, reportedly by rappelling onto the dealership's roof.
Wade was charged as an adult for his crimes, despite being a minor when they were committed, and could be eligible for parole at an unspecified date. Novitec Torado takes a stab at improving the Lamborghini Aventador [w/video]

Novitec has finished its tuning program for the Lamborghini Aventador, and it has called the mean-looking finished product, Torado. It looks like it wants to take the pedestrian sinisterness of the Aventador into an otherworldly rage, with carbon fiber vents, spoilers and protrusions lining the body from front to back.
Novitec says it's still good for daily use, even with four different stages of power tune and a fifth out-of-the-ballpark injection called "Bi-Kompressor." The power bumps start at 722 horsepower and 519 pound-feet and go up to 969 hp and 672 lb-ft with the bi-kompressor. The exhaust systems included in those packages are also good for shaving around 20 kilos from the car's weight.
