2009 Black Lamborghini Murcielago USA Made

This car is stunning.  Absolute Stunning.  This is a 95% American made
tribute to one of the most beautiful vehicles ever made.
Runs perfect, does not overheat.

This vehicle is not intended as a challenge to the "Lamborghini" or
"Murcielago" trademark.  Like a cover band singing beatles songs this
is only a tribute to one of the greatest cars ever made.

95% made with replica parts, 95% USA made.  The other 5% is genuine
lamborghini, because it was just easier to fit in genuine seats and some
other little details as opposed to recreating everything.
The engine is a powerful V8 from a Cadillac Deville 1992.
Frame is pontiac fiero.
So how do you describe a car like this?  Let's start with a commonly
used grading
scale for cars of this type.

A: Exact replicas, everyday drives, 100k-200k range.  Only a mechanic
who has worked on lamborghini's would know the difference.  Will fool
valet's an lamborghini owners.
B: Good replicas that run and fool valets, but under close inspection
won't hold up.  Real Lamborghini owners will not be fooled if they get
a chance to look inside.  60k - 90k range.
C: Still a stunning completed replica, but something obvious wrong that
won't fool a valet or some reason it can't fool a valet who parks
lambos (ie interior problem, or clear rough area of car)  20-40k range.
D: Still a "completed car," but obvious external or internal problems
that will allow disbelief of even a person wllho isn't familiar with
lambos. 20k range
F: Unfinished vehicles.  99% of vehicles out there are this type.  They
are an unfinished sob story of some unfortunate person who usually put
80,000k over the last who knows how many years into this project and
never finished it.  Finishing it will usually require a professional
repair shop and more than the car is worth to repair.

This car is described by myself as a "B MINUS"

It will fool valets, has a few very minor paint job problems (so could
a real lambo), and has an interior that is a little simple, although not
rough enough to make it a C, in my opinion. It runs very well.

THIS CAR IS NOT AN EVERYDAY DRIVE!  What do I mean by that?  Well the
engine is a wonderfully maintained powerful V8 from 1992.  This means
that the engine is 18 years old.  18 year old engines have some
problems.  This one has none that I am aware of, but will need repairs
at some point.

So a real 2009 murcielago will last for 15,000 miles on average, and
require a major repair of $20,000 or more at least every 5000 miles,
even if well maintained, and you will need to take it to a lamborghini
dealership to do this.  This car will never need a repair of that caliber, and can be
repaired at any repair shop for a fraction of the cost.

YOU WOULD BE A COMPLETE MORON TO TAKE THIS CAR ON THE HIGHWAY.
There's  nothing wrong with it, but come on, this is a hand made car and should
not be exposed to that kind of driving.  This is a great car for going
out to dinner or having a night on the town, but is NOT an everyday
drive.

Anywhere you take this car you will be the center of attention.  You
cannot take this car to starbucks because when you go inside everyone
will be outside looking at your car so there will be no one to take
your order.

Features:
1.) Fully operational door poppers with ELECTRIC DOOR OPENERS ON BOTH SIDES.  THIS MEANS THE DOORS OPEN AND CLOSE REMOTELY, UNLIKELY NORMAL FACTORY MURCIELAGO AND AVENTADOR DOORS WHICH CAN POP UP BUT THEN NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY PUT BACK DOWN.
2.) Very expensive custom rims and tires.
3.) Automatic Transmission

Shipping will be about $500 west coast, $1000 east coast.

If you want to come see this car you may contact me.  The closest
airport is PHX.

I recommend you see this vehicle before you buy it.  Not because it's
anything less than I am describing, but because with a custom vehicle
like this you REALLY should know what you are buying.

You may fly out to see me out of PHX, or if you are serious about
buying it I would be willing to ship the car to you with the option of
refusing it without taking it off the carrier.  I would
only consider this option if I have a deposit for the full amount, and
if we use a fully insured shipper.  If you refuse the vehicle you would
be responsible for shipping to you and back plus $1000.00 fee.
I would still recommend
this option rather than purchasing site unseen, because this is a major
purchase and there's just no way pictures or
my description could appropriately describe every detail of this
incredible vehicle.

I am a very well established, very well known dentist in this area, so
there is no way I could take your money and run.  If you are a serious
buyer we can discuss this further.

Time to catch up with Jay Leno's Garage, including his Lamborghini Espada restoration

Tue, Dec 23 2014

If you're already jealous of the time, effort and money that Jay Leno can devote to his massive car collection, prepare to get a little greener with envy with this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. Instead of the usual format of discussing a model for about ten minutes and then taking it out for a test drive, this week Leno gives viewers on a tour of over a dozen projects concurrently happening in his stable. The breadth of the vehicles shown and the things being done to them run the entire span of the automotive hobby. At the same time, Jay's shop is working on just a simple restoration of his 1969 Lamborghini Espada (pictured), and at the other side of the building, the team is rebuilding a wood-bodied 1914 Detroit Electric from scratch. He eventually plans to slot a more modern electric drivetrain into it. If bikes are more your interest, there's a freshly completed Brough Superior just waiting for a ride, and if American models are your thing, a Ford Bronco is getting a Coyote V8 installed into it. You have some very specific tastes if you can't watch this clip and start wishing at least one of these vehicles could be in your own garage. Other than the personal projects his mechanics are working on in the shop, Jay gets to have them all, plus plenty more.

Lamborghini Huracan gets incremental upgrades for 2016

Mon, Nov 9 2015

Lamborghini is rolling out a series of upgrades for the Huracan. And minor as most of them may be, they'll likely only further the desire among enthusiasts to get behind the wheel. Chief among the enhancements is a new cylinder deactivation system system that drops from ten cylinders to five under light loads. Lamborghini refers to it as the first such system to be implemented on a naturally aspirated V10, though it should be noted that is corporate cousin – the Audi R8 – incorporates a similar setup. Apart from selectively shutting down one of its cylinder banks, the 2016 Huracan benefits from a retuned all-wheel-drive system that promises "a neutral and even more improved driving behavior." The rest principally comes down to trim, including matt-black air vents and more leather inside, along with available cruise control and other convenience features. There's a new ten-speaker Sensonum audio system available, along with the global rollout of the optional sports exhaust, and an extension of the Ad Personal personalization catalog. Finally, buyers will also be able to show off even more than before with new carbon-fiber engine bay trim, a transparent cover, and even LED lighting. Although the options stand to inflate the price significantly, the base price with all of the standard upgrades remains the same. They're being applied to both the coupe and the recently revealed Spyder for the new model year. The Raging Bull marque is also tipped to be preparing a new rear-drive version that's expected to be unveiled later this month in Los Angeles. Related Video: Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4: Model Year 2016 Product Updates Sant'Agata Bolognese, 06 November 2015 -- Following its successful market introduction in 2014 the Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 is now available to order with a number of updates. The new contents focus on efficiency, drivability and luxury and are already available with the 2016 model year. The price of the Huracan LP 610-4 remains unchanged at 169.500 Euros + tax. As standard, both the Huracan coupe and newly-launched Spyder version include cylinder deactivation to improve engine efficiency; the first time this function is included in a naturally aspirated V10 engine. When full engine capacity is not required, five of the ten cylinders are temporarily deactivated by switching off one cylinder bank.

Lamborghini Centenario will punch out 770 hp

Mon, Feb 29 2016

Lamborghini briefly revealed the Centenario by releasing a YouTube video ahead of the official debut at the Geneva Motor Show. While it quickly set the clip as private, the screenshot above offers the best look yet at the new hypercar. The coupe celebrates founder Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday. The limited-edition hypercar uses a naturally aspirated V12 with 770 horsepower and can get to 62 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds. The top speed is an impressive 218 miles per hour. The body and monocoque are entirely carbon fiber, and the rear wing extends at high speeds for more downforce to stick the hypercar to the road. Lambo plans to produce a limited run of Centenarios consisting of 20 coupes and 20 roadsters. We look forward to getting more details when the limited-edition hypercar officially debuts soon. Show full PR text YouTube Description Uploaded on Feb 29, 2016 The Lamborghini Centenario is the most fitting tribute to Ferruccio Lamborghini in his centenary year, an one-off limited edition of 20 coupes and 20 roadsters. The Centenario's naturally aspirated V12 engine produces 770 hp and powers from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds with a top speed of more than 350 km/h. The futuristic and essential design includes an extending rear wing providing more downforce at high speeds, the body is built entirely in carbon fiber with a monocoque and all other body parts and trims in carbon fiber.
