It is often referred to as a super car and is Lamborghini's flagship and the Halo Car of the automaker's line-up. The Murcielago is a high-performance two-door, two-seat coupe, powered by an evolution of the Lamborghini V 12 engine. Most of the body is crafted of carbon fiber, except for the steel roof and those requisite front-hinged scissor doors, and said coachwork surrounds a space-frame chassis. The Murcielago boasts variable Airflow Cooling System: "batwing"-style ducts just aft of the windows.

I am helping my boss sell this vehicle and will be as honest and truthful about it as possible.

It is a fleet car and has been on the road with us for over 30k miles. It runs well and just recently had a clutch and new spark plugs put in it. The tranny is a little notchy when cold but once warmed up she is just fine. I have other exotics the same way. The rear air ducts and spoilers work as they should. Also just put in a new Windshield Wiper Module as well with a new Wiper Blade. The front differential has been gutted so the car is now rear wheel drive and runs with no issues. If doing any harder driving you do have to turn off the TCS as it can be a little intrusive. It will need some tires as the ones on it just get it by for now and are mismatched. The car was originally Silver but now is an M3 Blue. Black Leather interior that shows wear typical for its age. The front lifting suspension also performs as it should. There is an aftermarket AM/FM CD Player in the car. And there is an error message on the center console which I took a picture of. And one speaker grille on a door is missing.

All in all this car has lead a great life and is a great driver car. Take it anywhere and it always WOWs everyone. And you dont have to feel bad about driving it since its not a perfect trailer queen. I love this car to death but it has come that time to get a newer model and this one has to go.

We are looking at all offers so dont be afraid to submit. But we are also considering trades and or trades plus cash for other exotic vehicles.

I am not a dealer so please do not ask for financing.

And if you are bidding this is a legal and binding agreement so please have
your financing or cash ready and waiting.

Pictures pretty much tell the story so there are no surprises.

Wrecked rental Lamborghini abandoned on Texas tollway

Mon, Mar 9 2015

If you crashed and abandoned a $250,000 rented Lamborghini Gallardo on the side of the Dallas North Tollway Saturday night, the police would like to have a word with you. It appears that the Lamborghini hit a retaining wall before being dumped by the driver, according to WFAA. The supercar was found early Sunday morning with no identifying papers and no one around in the southbound lanes of the tollway. Police towed the vehicle. Exotic Skittles, an exotic car rental company in the Dallas area, confirmed that the crashed Lamborghini had been rented from them. The company's Facebook page prominently features a yellow Lamborghini Gallardo similar to the one left on the side of the road. It seems that yellow Gallardos can be a real problem on the high-end rental market; it was just last year that teen-idol and general Canadian roustabout Justin Bieber was arrested for committing various acts of bad driving in a similar model, in Florida. Rental car owners, be forewarned. Related Video: News Source: WFAA Weird Car News Lamborghini autoblog black

Dubai police welcome Lamborghini Aventador cop car

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

There is a long history of law enforcement adding supercars to their police cruiser fleets. The latest comes from a likely place, Dubai, where one-upping the rest of the world in conspicuous consumption has become a national point of pride.
The Dubai police force announced yesterday that they've added a Lamborghini Aventador to their fleet, the Italian supercar capping a broader upgrade to their selection of cruisers that also reportedly includes new examples of the Chevy Camaro.
The 700-horsepower Aventador has a starting price in the US of nearly $400,000 and can reach speeds up to 217 miles per hour. Reports, however, say that the Dubai police force won't be using the car's 0-60 performance of 3.9 seconds to catch any crooks, but rather that the supercar will be used in tourist areas to impress foreign travelers.

Are supercars becoming less special?

Thu, Sep 3 2015

There's little doubt that we are currently enjoying the golden age of automotive performance. Dozens of different models on sale today make over 500 horsepower, and seven boast output in excess of 700 hp. Not long ago, that kind of capability was exclusive to supercars – vehicles whose rarity, performance focus, and requisite expense made them aspirational objects of desire to us mortals. But more than that, supercars have historically offered a unique driving experience, one which was bespoke to a particular model and could not be replicated elsewhere. But in recent years, even the low-volume players have been forced to find the efficiencies and economies of scale that formerly hadn't been a concern for them, and in turn the concept of the supercar as a unique entity unto itself is fading fast. The blame doesn't fall on one particular manufacturer nor a specific production technique. Instead, it's a confluence of different factors that are chipping away at the distinction of these vehicles. It's not all bad news – Lamborghini's platform sharing with Audi for the Gallardo and the R8 yielded a raging bull that was more reliable and easier to live with on a day-to-day basis, and as a result it went on to become the best-selling Lambo in the company's history. But it also came at the cost of some of the Italian's exclusivity when eerily familiar sights and sounds suddenly became available wearing an Audi badge. Even low-volume players have been forced to find economies of scale. Much of this comes out of necessity, of course. Aston Martin's recent deal with Mercedes-AMG points toward German hardware going under the hood and into the cabin of the upcoming DB11, and it's safe to assume that this was not a decision made lightly by the Brits, as the brand has built a reputation for the bespoke craftsmanship of its vehicles. There's little doubt that the DB11 will be a fine automobile, but the move does jeopardize some of the characteristic "specialness" that Astons are known for. Yet the world is certainly better off with new Aston Martins spliced with DNA from Mercedes-AMG rather than no new Astons at all, and the costs of developing cutting-edge drivetrains and user interfaces is a burden that's becoming increasingly difficult for smaller manufacturers to bear. Even Ferrari is poised to make some dramatic changes in the way it designs cars.
