Leno's Lamborghini Espada is a freshly restored super-wagon

To give you a sense of why we love Jay Leno, outside of just his taste in cars and ability to preserve so many of them, is that he didn't always have a massive warehouse full of exotics. At one point during his 30-year ownership of this 1969 Lamborghini Espada, it was his only car. Now it has somewhere north of 100k miles on it (he doesn't know exactly because the odometer stopped working at one point – go figure!), and it's still driving great. Leno claims he have it a mechanical refresh about 10 years ago, mostly to clean up some dodgy wiring, and it is fresh out of a cosmetic refresh to address some rust bubbles in the quarters. The V12 is healthy – Leno credits that to letting it warm up before setting off – and it sounds phenomenal. Other than some minor upgrades, like a modern air conditioning system and some added sound insulation, it's mechanically stock. Inside, there's plenty of room for four adults, and Leno's large frame fits just fine in the driver's seat. The Espada set Leno back $26,000 in 1986, when he considered buying a Ferrari 330 GTC. The Ferrari was $2,500 more, so he picked the Lamborghini. Now, that 330 GTC is a $1m+ car, and the Espada? Not so much, although they are appreciating. Watch the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento used as a commuter car

Lamborghini never homologated the limited edition Sesto Elemento for the road, but this guy threw caution to the wind by taking the track-only sports coupe on the highway. He even recorded the high-speed blasts on video and had a Rolls-Royce along as a posh camera car. Lamborghini made just 20 examples of the Sesto Elemento, and they sold for 2 million euros each, which equaled $2.8 million at that time. The powertrain was the 570-horsepower V10 and all-wheel drive system from the Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera, and Lambo made extensive use of carbon fiber for the special coupes, which cut the weight to just 2,200 pounds. The company claimed they could sprint to 62 miles per hour in only 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 198 mph. This driver was clearly very excited to show off the copious power from the limited edition Lamborghini, but he might have had a better time at the track. That is where Lamborghini means for the Sesto Elemento to play, and there would be no worries about the authorities potentially confiscating his rare ride. Related Video:

Lamborghini Aventador SV production limited to 600 units

Six hundred. That's how many examples of the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Lamborghini will make. Not per year, but in total. So if you want one, you'd better act fast. The production figure was announced at the new SV's Chinese debut at the Shanghai Motor Show this week, following the supercar's worldwide debut at the Geneva Motor Show and its subsequent North American premier at Amelia Island. That's where the Raging Bull marque announced the Superveloce's price at $485,900 before tax and destination charges, or $493,095 all-in. For all that scratch, you get a supercar with a good old-fashioned, naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 driving 740 horsepower to all four wheels for a 0-62 time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 217 miles per hour. That would make the SV one of the fastest cars on the road (if it were legal to drive that fast) this side of a hypercar costing twice or more what Lambo's asking for the Aventador SV. Now if that production run seems rather small to you, bear in mind that Sant'Agata only produced 2,530 vehicles last year, and that was an all-time record for the marque. Go back a more than a decade and Lambo wasn't even coming close to completing that many vehicles in a calendar year altogether.
