2006 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder on 2040-cars
Shelton, Connecticut, United States
More infos regarding my car at: ariehornik@gmx.com .
Stands out even from the normal Gallardo crowd. The Grigio Proteus Metallic color, black wheels and exterior modifications make the car look lower and tougher. Whilst driving, the custom fabricated exhaust systems either bellows or screams depending on how hard you push the gas pedal. Nobody walks or drives past without taking a second look.
Orange vinyl stripes (easily removed), an LP560 front bumper, LP560 LED tailights, and a Lamborghini Factory carbon fiber wing with integrated back up camera. Upon purchase I had Scott install alcantara seat bases and backs and a Supercar Specialist custom exhaust (her original exhaust comes with the car and is easy to re-install). Custom exhaust gives what my local exotic car shop calls THE FINEST EXHAUST NOTE THEY HAVE EVER HEARD FROM A STREETCAR !!! In addition, she comes from the factory with orange brake calipers, custom rear diffuser, 6 Speed E- Gear transmission, front lift system, 6 Disc Kenwood CD Changer with amp in front trunk, navigation, Bluetooth, and power everything!
She has the full 3M coating over the front of the car (pictured). Whilst well-loved the car is not perfect. There is a small inch nick in the leather in the dashboard at the base of the windscreen (pictured). The black rubber coating on the switchgear is soft in places (a normal Lambo (Audi) issue).

6 car mashups that God never intended
Sat, May 17 2014In the 2000s, the musical mashup genre saw a peak of popularity with releases like The Grey Album from Danger Mouse that mixed The Beatles and Jay-Z. UK artist James Pursey from Carwow decided to take the same concept of shoehorning two disparate things together but applied the concept to cars. Your opinion on the results will vary with your sense of humor. These creations are either some funny pieces of abstract art or absolute monstrosities that prove good design should be left alone. Likely the best of the bunch is the Lambotomic (pictured above), which combines a Lamborghini Miura and an Ariel Atom. Granted, the Ariel is little more than a skeleton to begin with, and the outcome looks like a slightly stretched Atom with the new nose and tail from one of the most beautiful vehicles ever. This could actually work. Though, not all of the mashups are quite so pleasant. The Porschiac WW RS (pictured right) is absolutely disgusting. It combines a Pontiac Aztek, which isn't a beauty queen to start with, and a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Obviously, the 911 is an iconic shape in autonobolia, but that can't save it from the horror of the Aztek. Pursey fits the its nose, wheel, wing, roll cage and stripes onto the Pontiac. The outcome: A design that will show up in your nightmares. Check out the gallery for the rest of the mashups, including the Humi (a Humvee and a Mini), Aston Smartin (Aston Martin and Smart), Rangerini (Range Rover and Lamborghini Aventador) and the Mazdafenda (Mazda MX-5 Miata and Land Rover Defender). They might not all be beautiful (or even pretty), but it's fun to imagine these oddball creations actually driving down the road. Range-topping 800-hp Lamborghini Aventador SV hits the 'Ring
Fri, 19 Apr 2013A couple of years ago, rumors were circulating about a possible high(er)-performance version of the Lamborghini Aventador, and our spy photographers have just captured what appears to be a prototype of this new supercar testing at the Nürburgring. Supposedly called the Aventador SV (for Super Veloce), this even-more-hardcore version of Lamborghini's range-topper could boast as much as 800 horsepower. Yowza.
As for the car you see here, our spies point out new center-lock wheels wrapped in ultra-thin high-performance tires that hide revised brake calipers mounted in a different position than on the normal Aventador. Up front, there's a new aerodynamic piece that makes for an even lower air splitter, and around back, an extra piece of trim (often referred to as a Gurney flap) has been added to the spoiler to provide enhanced downforce.
We don't imagine there's much in the way of weight to shed from the Aventador's carbon fiber monocoque chassis, so this SV version will likely focus more on better suspension tuning, improved aero and a 80-100 more horsepower to set it apart from the rest of the range. Expect more details to arrive around the time of the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall.
Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster gets chilly shakedown
Fri, Mar 6 2015It was only days ago that Lamborghini gave the Aventador Superveloce its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show, but apparently the Italian brand has been hard at work on the next variant too. For those that want a 740-horsepower, 6.5-liter V12 singing a sweet song just behind their ears with the top down, then Lambo is testing an SV Roadster in the arctic. While the model is wearing copious camouflage and some very cool spotlights, the removable roof panel is still fairly obvious in several of these spy photos. Beyond the top, it doesn't look like Lambo is doing much to the body design, though. All of the pieces here can also be found on the SV coupe. There's no word when the SV Roadster might debut. Although with the standard model already complete, development of the convertible probably shouldn't take too long. The official unveiling might even be before the end of the year, especially with the coupe beginning sales in Europe in the spring.
