As rare as they come, Only 1 built, special for the man himself, Mario Andretti.

This well cared for Diablo was Monterrey Edition (20) made, #3.  The number 3 car was specially built for Mario Andretti to lead the running of the bulls to Pebble Beach.  This is a 1 of 1 car.  It had performance modifications from the factory to ensure Mario stayed in the lead.  It has its own website, http://www.lambocars.com/diablo/diablo_sv_monterey_edition.html.  It was in Motor Trend magazine (copy included with car).

This car is:

One of 20 Monterrey editions.

One of One built for Mario Andretti.

A rare SV.

The only original Rosso Targa car in existence, this is a 3 stage paint job that changes from red to purple depending on the light.

The only car to come with 3 piece chrome Kinesis wheels factory.

The only car with factory headers, modified intake and modified factory exhaust as per Mario Andretti.

Please read the link above with more information on this car.

Previous owner had clutch, engine overhaul and brakes done at the now defunct Lamborghini of Orange County, once the largest Lamborghini dealership in the United States.

I have owned this car for over 2 years, and have put quite a few miles on her, she shows 70,xxx KILOMETERS, thats about 43,744 miles.  Having owned many exotics, I would rather have one thats been driven that a garage queen that needs everything rebuilt to use as it was intended.

Everything works.

I will add links to videos of Mr. Andretti pulling up at Pebble Beach after the Running of the Bulls.

The car was purchased after the Running of the Bulls by "Lotto Jim", a man who won the California lottery that year.  It was then part of a collection of a software engineer in CA.  He traded it for a Murcialago at Lamborghini of Orange County.  The dealership went bankrupt, and I purchased it at auction.  I have driven it to both coasts, (CA twice).  It is a fantastic running car.  No wrecks.

Car is sold as-is, where-is.  Deposit on acceptace of "o.b.o." or asking price is $5,000, due in 48 hours.  Any PPI (Pre Purchase Inspection) will be done through Lamborghini of Dallas, the number 1 delership in the U.S. at potential buyer's expense.  Once sold the balance due must be paid in certified funds (WHICH MUST CLEAR before car will be released) within 14 days.  Shipping is buyers expense and responsibility.  By making an offer potential buyer agrees that jurisdiction for any disputes will be Dallas County, Texas.

Lamborghini reveals Asterion LPI 910-4 hybrid hypercar concept

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

There are automakers that roll out concept cars regularly as a matter of course, and there are those that rarely do. Lamborghini falls squarely in the latter category, which makes the vehicle you see here - revealed just a day before the Paris Motor Show - such a rare treat.
It's called the Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4, and if you're familiar with Sant'Agata nomenclature, you're probably already picking apart its specs based on those letters and numbers: LP for longitudinal posterior, telling you this is, like all other contemporary Raging Bulls, a mid-engined supercar. 910 tells you how much metric horsepower it packs. The 4 tells you it's all-wheel drive. But along with the name Asterion, borrowed from a mythical minotaur (a hybrid man-bull, for those unschooled in Greek mythology), it's the letter I - standing for "Ibrido" - which speaks of the novelty of this concept.
That's right, you're looking at the first gasoline-electric hybrid Lamborghini. A plug-in hybrid, in fact, that can travel 31 miles on electricity alone. The powertrain combines the 5.2-liter V10 and seven-speed DSG from the Huracán (good for 610 metric horsepower) to a trio of electric motors (good for another 300) to bring total output up to a claimed 910 - equivalent to 897 hp by our standards - assuming all four motors are running at peak output at the same time. That makes it the most powerful Lamborghini we've ever seen, and puts it in league with the McLaren P1 and LaFerrari. The result is a 0-62 time quoted at three seconds flat and a top speed of 199 miles per hour, or up to 78 mph in pure electric mode.

1963 Lamborghini 350 GTV still looks fresh on Pebble's Concept Lawn

Sun, 18 Aug 2013

We already brought you a gallery of Lamborghini's latest rockstar, the Veneno, from it's vaunted spot on the lawns of The Quail here in Monterey. Apparently the Italian brand didn't want the Pebble Beach crowds to feel left out, so it brought the supercar along to the Concept Lawn here as well. Not to miss out on the classics action Lamborghini has matched the Veneno with the car that started everything for the company: the original 1963 350 GTV prototype.
With 50 years separating the Veneno from the debut of the hip 350 GTV at the Turin Motor Show, Lamborghini cheekily mentions that it has stuffed "100 years of innovation in half the time." We'll leave the judgments of historical significance in the capable hands of the Pebble judges, but will agree that the original Lamborghini still looks amazingly hot, decades after its reveal. Apparently the classic 350 GTV doesn't travel a whole lot either, so we're happy to have a chance to lay eyes on it here.

Lamborghini Veneno leaks ahead of Geneva

Sun, 03 Mar 2013

Hey, Lamborghini execs... why the long face? Is it because your double-top-secret Veneno hypercar has leaked ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut?
This unidentified magazine scan has dribbled its way onto the internet, and the single image shows a radically designed coupe - even by Lamborghini standards - powered by the 6.5-liter V12 from the Aventador tuned to produce 740 horsepower, routed through the company's seven-speed single-clutch gearbox. The bodywork features exposed carbon fiber canards, asymmetric wheel wells, a massive rear wing, and all manner of vents and scoops, all combining for an outlandishly brutal look.
What does "Veneno" mean, exactly? It translates to "poison" in Spanish, but if the company's history is anything to go by, it must also be the name of a noteworthy bull in the history of tauromachia. What the car means to Lamborghini, however, is a celebration of the one-time tractor manufacturer's 50th anniversary.
