1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster Replica on 2040-cars
Louisville, Kentucky, United States
Relisting because Ebay had a policy issue:
This is a Cory Davis 1999 Lamborghini Diablo Roadster kit car on a custom made steel chassis I am not a professional kit builder I am just a mechanic that was building this kit as a hobby I have lost interest and no longer want to finish the car This has a small block chevy 350 with 4 side mounted carbs with a corvair 4 speed transaxle. With twin rear mounter radiators like the real car It has power steering and manual brakes No air condition but I do have a air condition controller made by "rice burner" for a vintage air setup I was going to install later. I have original diablo seats, emblems and real 17" OZ wheels. The car starts and drives but needs carbs to be adjusted and a tune up Car had set for about 3 years The front brakes are wildwood with tubular upper and lower powder coated control arms All lights and electrical system work including turn signals and fog lights Both doors and front and rear bonnets are attached with working hinges and locks Doors do not have outer skins and needs to be finished but do have power window motors mounted and wired to original center console switch also has plexiglass windows Windshield needs to be replace has crack in it Removable roof has front and rear working latches. This car was built to fit up to a 6'2 person original Lambo seats are on adjustable seat tracks that adjust Aluminum Gas tank is mounted in rear and plumbed to working flip cap This car has all the major work done but Please understand this was a work in progress It still needs a lot of work to finish and I built it close to original but I was taking creative liberties so it would be more drivable and easy to work on I have been working on this over 8 years off and on Always garage kept Will not ship I would like new buyer to be here so I can go over how I put it all together and what I feel needs to be done from here Ask any questions you have Kit does not have any title or registration Because it was built from scratch |

Lamborghini Urus SUV to be assembled in Slovakia
Sat, 26 Apr 2014Lamborghini is known for many, many things. Beautiful, exotic and expressive styling, extreme performance and eye-watering prices are Lambo hallmarks. But the Raging Bull is perhaps best known for building its cars by hand... in Slovakia?
No, it's known for building its cars in Italy. But with the Urus SUV, which is already a departure (although not an unprecedented one) from your traditional Lamborghini, the brand could move construction outside the boot-shaped country, and east, into the former Soviet state.
The move will see the Urus, which will ride on a modified version of the Volkswagen Group's MLB platform, screwed together alongside the VW Touareg, Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and Bentley's eventual SUV at VAG's Bratislava factory. In terms of consolidating production in one factory, it's clearly a clever move. Still, we wonder if setting up Urus production outside of the Sant'Agata factory and in the sprawling Bratislava facility won't lessen the specialness inherent in Lamborghini products.
Lamborghini Cabrera could look this good when it replaces Gallardo
Sun, 24 Nov 2013The Lamborghini Gallardo is a bit long in the tooth, so it's only natural that Lamborghini has its replacement in the works. Referred to as the Cabrera, the new model has been seen testing on the Nürburgring with fairly heavy camouflage, but it wasn't enough to stop automotive designer and Auto Week illustrator Marco van Overbeeke from rendering what he thinks it will look like when it's finished.
After comparing the illustrations and the photos of the Cabrera testing on the Nürburgring, it's not too far-fetched to say the next V10-powered, all-wheel-drive Lamborghini might look something like what van Overbeeke has envisioned. Feel free to check out the photo galleries below and compare the Nürburgring car with the illustrations. Then tell us what you think in Comments.
Take a ride in a Lamborghini Countach with Evo
Fri, Jan 29 2016Sure, the 1970s and '80s were full of crap cars like the Chevrolet Chevette or the Ford Granada. Dark times, but not completely. Take the mind-blowing Lamborghini Countach. Its sharp and angular styling was shocking at the time. It was and still is the archetypal bedroom wall supercar. But it's far from perfect. As Evo explains in its latest Icons drive, the clutch is heavy, the seating position is wonky, and the visibility is notoriously awful. It was the first Lamborghini in which it was a good idea to hang halfway out of the car while backing up, because the rear window was useless. As far as rare Lambos go, though, this 1981 LP400S is pretty impressive. It's being auctioned by RM Sotheby's as part of its Paris auction in early February. You can check out both the bad stuff and the much more substantial good stuff in Evo's latest, embedded above.
